I have scrapped these out myself. To save cut off discs, I cut around the top like you but then only make one cut down the side. They will usually come out this way. Sometimes I have to tap a chisel into the cut to open up the housing a little
I glad you are cutting them to take the copper out , it's definitely worth doing so many scrappers don't and just had them in without taking the copper out. I do the same with motors as well.
instead off the cutoff disc you could try a jackhammer with a spade-blade , i ve seen very good results. Your copper extractor is the best hand-operated i have seen so far
I knew you had a big job from the moment i saw all them compressors, top effort thats for sure im guessing from them 12 motors removed you will have between 25kg and 35kg in nice burnt copper.
last time I cut those open, I did so over the backyard firepit, hoping to be firesafe. Ironically, all the sparks hitting my chopping block set it on fire.
I would love to have my friend but the only problem is that I don't have open space here.... With the plasma you get a lot of fumes and that is a problem 😔. Thank you for watching and commenting my friend😁
Hey i do the same thing as I’m tearing the compressors apart. I have a couple questions.. how long does the cutting wheel last for you (i use a diamond cutting wheel but it has a lot of kick to it so not super safe but last a lomg time) so is it worth buying them? And second could you show a video of how you put your winding extractor together.. that is the most effective and efficient way i have yet to see and i would like to make one myself if you wouldn’t mind taking your ideas.. thank you and I’m so glad i found your channel!
Thank you my friend.... For the small compressors I would say that I need 1 wheel (not all)... For the big compressors i use the big grinder and it takes me 1/2 of the wheel......
Have you seen this video? czcams.com/video/4E5K--btn7k/video.html.... I would make a video soon to demonstrate that "machine" my friend.... The purpose of the ideas is to make our lives easier and to generate more ideas my friend.... so of curse I don't mind 😁😁
I believe I will need 20-25 wheels.... The first batch took me around 2 hours.... I believe I would need around 8 hours for the final result.... Thank you for watching my friend😁
Let's see.For the time and labor spent breaking down the motor to get the few pounds of Copper out I'd say you make right around...give or take a little....Ummm probably about $3.
Check my other videos please

Γεια σου φίλε ! Μόνο τώρα έμαθα να βγάζω το ορειχάλκινο κομμάτι από το κάτω μέρος του κομπρέσορα ! (οποία έχουν)
Mammoth effort to crunch through all them. The windings are always good quality. The final numbers will be interesting. Thanks.

Looking like your going to have to get a plasma cutter make that a lot faster
I would love to have my friend but the only problem is that I don't have open space here.... With the plasma you get a lot of fumes and that is a problem 😔. Thank you for watching and commenting my friend😁

So what do you do with the waste oil?
That’s going to be a mess of copper. Maybe 75 pounds or more? Good times 👍
I believe you are right my friend.... That's the weight that I estimate.... Thank you for watching my friend😁
How many cutting wheels do you think you will go through cutting those open? What was the actual time for opening up the first batch. Happy Scrapping!
Nice copper there.but there is one problem my friend. There is a bomb next to you. Those gas cylinders.

Yes they are brass my friend.... Not all of them unfortunately but many of them are😁.... Thank you for watching and commenting buddy😁

Wow, good bunch of compressors there. I'd like to know how many pounds of copper you got out of all of them.
