    Do I need to know any of what Joel teaches us? Maybe a few. Am I going to change and outlet like that. Nope. Did I watch the whole thing. Yup! Taskers like seeing all things the Hoelleins.

    I love watching your daily task videos Joel! I will never ever attempt to do this myself, but i love watching you show us how to complete these jobs. I have to admit, I held my breath while you were working so closely around the LIVE breaker box. I’m glad you’re finished and I’m excited to see the crape maker being used on Mother’s Day.

    Good job and video. Suggestion: When cutting out a hole in a vertical surface, tape the top edge of a small cardboard box to the wall below your desired hole location. Cut the hole and dust falls into the box, not on the floor or baseboard. Less cleanup.
    You installed an N6-20R. R=receptacle. P=plug. So the P goes into the R. Your crepe maker is straight 240 volts. The heating elements are 240v and the controls are 240v. An electric water heater is 240 volt, 240 volt elements and controls. A dryer and normal kitchen stove are 120/240 volts. 240v heating elements and 120v controls and lights.
    I’ve been retired since 2018, so not up on 2023 NEC. You may need a GFCI breaker for this IF (big IF) the area you live in has adopted that year NEC and it is required in that year NEC.
    Hopefully, you put some kind of electrical tape on the white conductor identifying it as not a neutral.

      That was the best explanation.
      Also I have thought I should make that breaker GFI.

    240v 20amp not too many people need gfci of 240v so I would guess it’s just not vital to safety so it’s not been required like nutral and ground on 120 power source. I know stoves and dryer sometime are four wire and sometimes are three.

    Hi quick question from UK - did you need to get your house signed off by the Building Regulations Team in your local Council before you live there ? Also really impressed with this channel 👍

    • @TodaysTask
      @TodaysTask  Před 3 měsíci +2

      Absolutely, we had to pass a final building inspection along with all the inspections throughout the construction process.
