Went from thousands to literally NO VIEWS or maybe 10-15 in the past few weeks. Seems they are shutting down small channels to make room for the big channels and the 9 trillion shorts being made every day. This isn't sustainable... people are already sick of shorts. I know I am!!

They aren't popular, so they don't get views is basically all he said. He provided no information as to why they basically get a 45-60 minute window and then the plug is yanked. I'm sure there are exceptions, but there was no explanation as to how those happen or how the creator can get more than a blip on the graph out of a short.

Totally… it’s like they let it be seen for an hour or so, and then just pull the plug… what they said here doesn’t explain the sudden drop in views… because there is no gradual but a sudden drop… everyone suddenly decided that the video is not interesting, after getting tons of likes and subs? Doesn’t make sense…
youtube suggests the video to a bunch of people at first. If people really like it, it goes viral, if people find it boring, then it stops getting views. The video will stop getting views as soon as it gets boring to people which can happen at any view count. Is it really that hard to understand?🤦â€â™‚ï¸
its because if its not doing well consistently, they decide its dead, it needs to trend upwards nonstop, or its down

This sounds like a BS excuse. If the short wasn't popular it wouldn't get any views at all. Not get a bunch a views and then immediately stop. What's the incentive for making shorts when the views suddenly stop? I only make shorts to funnel people to my channel. If shorts only get a certain amount of views then what's the point? If CZcams wants to take over the short form content game, they need to make it more lucrative for the creators. Otherwise, it's a waste of my time to create them. At least my long form videos get consistent views.
so basicly what your saying, is that youtube with all of its almighty algorithm still cant find the right audience for my shorts after 250 shorts. even though my main videos get 5-10k views with 2 videos over 50k hmmmm
The CZcams algorithm pushes my shorts 6 hours every time I upload so now am familiar with it and am satisfied but mostly it'll drop around 7k views after 6 hours then between the next 6 hours the shorts keeps on getting views

Ii noticed a crucial thing for shorts, uploading at a certain time, I like to upload shorts either very early in the morning at like 2 - 3 am, or at 9 - 11 pm (EST) and I have gotten 2k views on my most recent with this!

I gained 20K views in 2 week from shorts, with min of 400 and max of 1900 views everyday. All of sudden I only got 1-2 views or not at all. Do you think CZcams shadowbanned me?

I still find it fascinating that a Multi-Billion dollar company like CZcams, still can't implement the ability to have a thumbnail for your CZcams shorts on a PC. You still have to use the phone app for that. Ya ya "But they are going to implement that soon..." been hearing that for over a year.
Question: after you launch a short or video and it does like less then 30 views cuz I messed up the title or hashtags…. Whatever it is I then make an edit.
How does the algorithm treat edited content videos ? Like set it to private , fix it then re launch or on the fly or does an edit have any impact at all ?
Or how long before the algorithm picks up the video again due to the edits ?

My most recent short got 5K views in 3 days (I have 16k subs), has 60% of the viewers not swiping away, and a retention average of 40 seconds, all from only being shown in the shorts feed 8K times, AND YET it has just suddenly stopped being shown in the shorts feed. All other metrics have remained the same, but being shown in the feed? That has barely gone up. You'd think a video that was performing well by all other metrics would be promoted by CZcams more

Here’s why: people have so many options and chances are the shorts don’t get much views for retention. I’m an avid watcher and I sometimes forget new videos or new shorts with my creators
Nah, that is not the question. That is how YT do a testing. It sends your short to feed of different audiences in the first 24h to see how it behaves. But the real question is why do shorts get 0 views where they are not shown to anyone in shorts feed all of a sudden after few shorts that got consistent views?
Exactly this. I own two channels with one getting 5000 views per day normally. Since now 2.5 days, my shirts barely get any views and do not get out to any audience for 1 day at least if not longer.

I happened to me 3 times and I thought it was always my fault and deleted all 3 channels. I don't know why it happens and when it does hoe long does it remain that way, but I one thing I know for certain, it's not my fault but the algorithm. I made a fourth channel yesterday and uploaded a short at 9PM and it 1 got view from me until now (after 24h). It was not shown to anyone it shorts feed. So it's definitely algorithm that is the issue here. I follow another youtuber and he made a new channel just for shorts 5 days ago. In his case the number of views is also very strange. 1st short 11K views, 2nd and 3rd 2 and 3 views, 4th 2.4K views and after that one 4 got less than 10 views and the newest one he published few hours ago has about 400 views now.
I had cases where my short didn't get any views at all and then started getting views after 15h.
I had shorts that were shown to 0 people in shorts feed in the first 6 hours (published at 9PM) and then all of a sudden as the 6th hour started (3AM), it started being pushed into the algorithm, it got like 30 views and was shown to 44 people, then stopped and then at 11AM started getting views again. Then that same day I published a new video and it again was not shown to anyone in shorts feed and I hoped the same thing would happen, but naah, it didn't get views at all.
So it is completely random. You never know and can never predict how the algorithm will behave. I think everyone should just post and not delete them hoping that one of the shorts will start getting a lot of attention and then all the others will start getting views.

My issue is one of my videos got 2.4 k views and next day I uploaded next short part 2 on same concept same title and tags same song but I hardly got 100 views... don't upload more than 3 shorts a day. uploading 10 shorts a day is definitely gonna hurt your channel and your views.

I have another channel that is relatively well established. This happens to me even when my retention is 100%, the short would get like 2000 views the first day and then suddenly drop off. This doesn't happen for every video but still very weird.

99% of shorts that I click on to watch turn to old school TV static out of nowhere after 1-2 seconds .... but only from the accounts I subscribe to .... not many new ones .... this is not the above....what's going on?!
CZcams sets how many views your shorts get based on retention rate. Shorts with more of a percentage of people who kept watching will have an constant rate in increase. Keep in note an exponential increase that flatlines suddenly probably won't get any views after...

I recently got a video which managed to break the record of my most viewed short and got 5.4k views,tommrow i uploaded an another one and got 502 views or something (i typically get ~550 views) but becuase its still 500 i ignored it,but then i got 26 views on the next one then 18 on the one after that and was barely shown in feed
My shorts get zero views and the only view I get is from me watching it, CZcams doesn’t even push my content out
Just a word of advice: Change your niche. Reposting other people's content with one sentence in a monotone voice isn't going to get views. I liked some of your vids to try and help, but I highly recommend trying something different. Cheers.

I just started uploading football edits and my second one got 2.3k views from nothing after 6 hours, then it stopped getting views. Same happened with the third edit but less views.

Just the luck of the draw. Shorts are very random and can be affected by audience demographic issues like sporting events, school trends... even the weather. They are volatile... but that volatility is one of the things that allows them to explode they way that they do in the first place.
Getting weirder by the moment..lol shorts views are dropping as well as long format lol as my quality increases my views decrease..I'm sure that will change like the weather

My shorts use do modestly well they would receive around 1,500 to 4,000 almost immediately after uploading but my new shorts are performing drastically low 200 views? I deleted and or privated all of my recent shorts which were around ten to twenty videos why because if there's no interest why leave them to waste space it's frustrating and discouraging honestly but oh well sigh!☮ï¸

I noticed a sudden decline too, from around 1.7k to 2k on the first day to 40 and 20, not sure if CZcams made some kinda tweak to the algorithm, I’m not so loving it

ugh yes its so annoying the views just stopped they just fricken stopped reccomending my videos at its like stuck at 916 reccomendations. its already doing well it says 50% of the viewers that got reccomended watched the video. and now its not reccomending it to people. and showing it to feed. like i imagine what will happen to 10k 5k would watch.. i think i should repost it.
