  • This new Red Label FGX5 from Yamaha absolutely rocks! In this video, I show the different settings of the preamp controls for the Atmosfeel(TM) system.
This guitar is something special! Way to go Yamaha!

Wow, seen other vids showcasing the acoustic sound which is nice and warm but when they switch to the plugged in review they pretty much keep everything at 50%. Since I need it for stage performances, this plugged in review with the various settings is what I really needed to listen to. Thank you sir!

Hi Mitch great tones. Hey I actually play in d standard. Do you think this guitar would sound good with 58-13 strings plus down a half step. Thanks Shawn

It would seem to benifit from some EQ.

I also have an FGX5 (and a D16E.) I love both. I comment on your strumming position (just behind the soundhole.) I find this is the place that really produces the best sound quality. Yamaha electronics work fine. Would like to try a K+K setup.

Bear Lew yes direct into a PreSonus AudioBox with no EQ changes. I really wish I could have kept that guitar!!

Great job Mitch (Mr. Short-cut-capo). I love this amplified sound. Is there any other equipment coloring the sound? Great playing also.

Sounds like Trebles are weak on this guitar in all the video's, what do you think in person?

My impression as well. But with all the tweaks who knows the possibilities. Great sounding guitar at the price point though.

For me is a acoustic guitar s guitar that sounds great acoustic..... sure the pick up is a nice feature but, it's build in a acoustic. A review abouth a great guitar wich this is, the whole time plugged in doesn't do it justice, shame...
