Lyrics
I will walk down to the ocean
After waking from a nightmare
No moon, no pale reflection
Black mirror, black mirror
Shot by a security camera
You can't watch your own image
And also look yourself in the eye
Black mirror, black mirror, black mirror
I know when the time is coming
All the words will lose their meaning
Please show me something that isn’t mine
But mine is the only kind that I relate to
Le miroir casse
The mirror casts mon reflet partout
Black mirror, black mirror, black mirror
Black mirror knows no reflection, knows not pride or vanity
Cares not about your dreams, cares not for your pyramid schemes
Their names are never spoken
The curse is never broken, the curse is never broken
Un, deux, trois, dit miroir noir
Black mirror
Black mirror, black mirror
Their names are never spoken, the curse is never broken
Their names are never spoken, the curse is never broken
Mirror, mirror, on the wall, show me where them bombs will fall
Mirror, mirror, on the wall, show me where them bombs will fall
Black mirror, black mirror, black mirror, black mirror
Black mirror, black mirror, black mirror

I wish this were the theme song for the Black Mirror series
***** The show is so good, now it only needs a good intro (like GoT). Its current opening theme is pretty unmemorable.
I came here just to ask if this song was related to that serie.
who knows maybe this song inspired the series in some way? it is older i think? lots of ifs and buts involved here but either way netflix is the enemy. winter on fire is propaganda and everything netflix has done since winter on fire can not be trusted for this reason. netflix IS black mirror and there is the real irony.
I am sure they tried
@@transcinemafilms Untrue. He states why he [Charlie Booker] thought of the name on this article:

One of the best albums in music history.
This song truly never ages for me. It sounds new with every listen. I am still obsessed with it from the time it was released. Such a beautiful dark track from an amazing album.
This song and My Body is a Cage are phenomenal on this album. Neon Bible and Funeral are transcendent works.
It's not letting me like ur comment, but I totally agree
Not to mention The Suburbs and Reflektor. Both great in their own right. I actually think The Suburbs is my favorite album (and song) of all time.
Liam Forester, I'm with you the Suburbs is my favorite album of all time
@@obi-wankenobi8878 I like all of them except Everything Now
Add OCEAN OF NOISE
Yesterday I was listening to this while walking outside right before a storm hit. The wind picked up significantly and blew hard against me, the tall pine trees started swaying somewhat aggressively, leaves were blowing everywhere and a couple dead tree branches fell here and there. It was a beautifully chaotic feeling that this song accompanied perfectly.
The 9th Symphony of Indie Rock.
Her voice at 2:41 is so perfectly haunting
I'm glad someone else appreciates that kind of thing. It's touches like that that really set Arcade Fire apart.
They're a genious band, and manage to evoke a lot of strange emotions and thoughts out of me which I would have never come across otherwise, so- Thanks Arcade Fire, and keep doin' whatever it is that inspires you to create such music. You are one of my many lights.
genius*
One of the best Arcade Fire's song and the first one I have known... From this moment to now I have a passiom with this great, high professional, tallentistic Band!! Bowie have already said... so.. That's true!!
Having settled into apartment style living, I was going through my CD collection and sorted them out into groupings e.g. boy bands, alternative, soundtracks etc and from charity shop purchases; I have Arcade Fire's Neon Bible. The version that came in a lenticular clamshell case with two flipbooks, the CD and booklet. I'm usually a pop music fan however I have some CDs that fall under the Alternative genre. I'm grateful to have stumbled across Arcade Fire. As they say especially when browsing at a charity or thrift shop "Someone's trash is another's treasure." Glad to have Arcade Fire amongst my shelves of CDs.
A gem from my skateboarding childhood, skateboarding on fall evenings and winter nights, I was like 13 :)
:)
You’re 27 now
This is a new band that i can really get into. "I walked down to the ocean
After waking from a nightmare
No moon, no pale reflection
Black Mirror, Black Mirror"
Love the lyrics. Reminds me of Edgar Allen Poe. I would love to see them live.
I actually recently wrote a song that is a reaction to this song.
[Verse 1]
I will walk down to the ocean
After waking from a nightmare
No moon, no pale reflection
Black mirror, black mirror
[Verse 2]
Shot by a security camera
You can't watch your own image
And also look yourself in the eye
Black mirror, black mirror, black mirror
[Verse 3]
I know when the time is coming
All the words will lose their meaning
Please show me something that isn’t mine
But mine is the only kind that I relate to
Le miroir casse
The mirror casts mon reflet partout
Black mirror, black mirror, black mirror
[Verse 4]
Black mirror knows no reflection, knows not pride or vanity
Cares not about your dreams, cares not for your pyramid schemes
Their names are never spoken
The curse is never broken, the curse is never broken
Un, deux, trois, dit miroir noir
Black mirror
I get the strange vibe that this song could be about David Bowie's journey from the Black Lodge in Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. Especially the part where Coop is looking into the security camera and sees himself with David Bowie walking in. Super creepy, love it!
I love this interpretation! Especially cause they do have a strong Bowie connection.
The entire Neon Bible album sounds like a David Lynch movie soundtrack.
THAT MAKES SENSE
A black mirror is a window into the spirit world.
Mirror, Mirror on the wall.
Arcade fire are the coolest!
manuel43 youre right , john dee used scrying as well.
I love how this looks so much like a real dream.
Not like people expect a dream will be.
I wanna see these guys live so bad, I've watched them live on here and they are just amazing
They're on tour right now. I saw them in Minneapolis and it was incredible! Definitely go if you have the chance
I saw them live around 2010, one of the best shows I have ever seen. Rumor has it Michael Stipe was there but it was never confirmed
one of my favourite songs at the moment. this music video is so insane i love it.
This is like a real dream that someone would have... not just the kind of dream you'd think up while your awake.
It's awesome
this song gives me each time butterflies in my belly, deep emotion
SUCH AN AMAZING SONG!
I always go through a popular bands songs if I can't instantly connect, and sometimes I find a song that will lead me to other songs they have done that I enjoy then I will eventually start to understand the band. This song is that stepping stone.
Sometimes I have to listen to a new song several times before I can appreciate it.
I'll say, this is not my favorite TAF song, but here's the thing- music is art. Not always just something that sounds well produced or something the masses can easily dance to. Those things are great and all, but that's not what The Arcade Fire looks to do. They're a band that pulls heartstrings. They aren't the empty, overproduced garbage getting jammed down our throats these days. They understand what pain, joy, love and childhood sound like- which isn't your next pop radio hit.
love this song, it owns a part of my soul
I love this song and
arcade 🔥
Neon Bible is the best Arcade Fire's album!
Probably :D
I haven't checked Suburbs, but by now this is the best!
I didn't like a lot Funeral, not like NB..
I liked more the dark and the misticism, so I guess Suburbs is not really like that.
Anyway, I'll check it, don't worry. It's already on my Ipod >:D
I agree, I usually never ever run past any band's current work, in the context each album is intended to stand on its own merits, in this case a drop back may not be bad for a refreshing reminder, I wondered why i hadn't listened to them in ever so long....2010's visit to the "suburbs' was a refreshment, "Reflector" exhibits some elemental AF musicality, however I trip to the church might be prudent after listening to Reflektor in its entirety...Cheers, Terrance Hill
Oh damn and it still being the best. Particularly in my opinion, one of the best albums of the history.
Based
I couldn't think of a good user name for my CZcams account so I listened to my favorite band, and suddenly, it came to me. And so, here I am. A fellow youtuber with an awesome name, and a purpose: To love and help others learn to love the best band in the whole Milky Way galaxy. Arcade Fire.
La voix de Régine est très belle.
Favorite tv show and favorite band!
im surprised at how many views this video has this is one of my favorite arcade fire songs...
This song and album are amazing!
Black mirror again for Christmas day.
That episode, the Christmas Special was truly amazing.
the string diminuendo through the octaves at the end is so beautiful!
Terrific video, suprised I'd never seen it, growing up listening to them. Very trippy.
2:25 Esos violines asesinos dan pie a la deliciosa voz de Régine
😉
This song made me watch the show
and that madolin in the background is simplistic, yet so effective
This is song is so amazing,, i love all of their albums!
Fantastic Album…! 🫶🫶🙏🙏👏👏
2021 HERE AND STILL LOVING.
Going to see them tonight, so excited!!!!!
I used to have a roommate that played this, he was pretty cool, this song brings back good memories.
One of my favorites
Been a fan of this album for 5 years now. First time I'v seen the music video to this song, and it's pretty much spot on to catching the mood. Not allot of music videos can REALLY do that.
Black Mirror 🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵
One of their best songs and videos.
When I was about 16 or so I thought this song and video was so beautiful 😍...still do! ❤(:
So much of this scene i tried to show my friends, and no one else liked it.
These dream-like videos are so timeless.

arcade fire amazing songs and videos
no complains
so underrated
Extraordinaire 🎶📽❤️
songs like this have a way of making me feel insignificant
Magnificently dark song from a great album
Very creatively restless band ... superb video too
isso é tao black mirror
love
Reminds me of the 3rd season of Twin Peaks even though that came out 10 years later.
I think song is about authority and trust. Its about how we place trust in great authorities, like media, politicians or religion and how those people of power are supposed to do what we wish them to do, how they are supposed to reflect what we want, what our wishes are. Even though we the people are many and we chose our leaders we still face these authorities as individuals and feel powerless and insecure.
amazing
Dear Merge Records, get them on Spotify now so that teenage Europe can enjoy their music too.
This album is weird and dark and mad and perfect. Funeral and Neon Bible are two of my all time favorite records.
Arcade Fire-my new favorite band
Their best song.
un deux trois des mirroirs noirs!
this is a dream like someone would really have
Un, deux, trois dis miroir noir!!
Cool song
great video and post
Holy shit... speechless.
Well, almost speechless. I still have plenty of praise available for this song, and this amazing band, who are awesome in concert. xD
How could you not like this song? Oh wait ..... no wonder your hearing aid is turned down! This song is awesome! I'm basing my next short screen play on this master piece!
ARCADE FIRE FOREVER!
that song is very nice, I really like it
This is not one of their best songs, but the video is beautiful. Its creepy, haunting, and filled with beauty. And please dont judge a band by just listening to one song from them.
I just started watching the series with the same name. Always makes me think of this song. I mean, they kind of have the same vibes.
Classic & timeless =] Best thing to come out of Canada since The Guess Who[=
Greate Dipressing Band!
Me encanta 💘
jamás hubiera pensado que alguien con tu nombre sea un hispanohablante, ¿cierto o quisiste poner en español no más?
Mi nombre es Katherine mi apellido es Muñoz xD
i wish they'd bring this sound back
this song finds answers for empty souls
I feel like I prefer their singing when they sing in French but I still like it in English I just wish they were more songs of them in French
I just love the random French around the late chorus
@xkyle16x this was well deserved considering how amazing funeral was/ how they still haven't sold out even though they're one of the most popular indie rock bands out there. they've stayed true to their own band, and it has paid off. and i commend arcade fire for making a 65 min long album. that made me quite happy, as there were hardly any filler songs
i met this song before Black Mirror serie in Netflix came out, i wonder if it gained a little more views because of that, i really like this song.
reminiscent of the pixies at their most melancholy.
Black mirror
wow that was incredibly artistic...reminded me of those early 20th-century films...and I don't mean just the film grain, the overall feel: man in bizarre setting with women in strange unitards dancing in hypnotic shapes
The National, Tv on the radio, Ghinzu..
There are quite a few, it just necessery to dig a little deeper :)
Bravissimi. I miei preferiti dopo DepecheMode!!
I heard this band on snl ...reflector!! Love her voice , think she can sing weird and creepy !! Would like to see what dark, creepy vocals she can bring to the table.. I want to see her lea e the band bet she would rock on her own !
Theme song for the day - fun times
