Sym-Bionic Titan is a one season giant robot show that has a lot more to offer for the genre. Mixing an 80's aesthetic with big monster fights, Genndy Tartakovsky, Bryan Andrews and Paul Rudish bring a fully unique idea and more grown up tone to Cartoon Network as they were trying to blend all there viewers age ranges together. Sadly, the fate of Sym-Bionic Titan isn't a happy one, leaving Sym-Bionic Titan unfinished and sorely missed.

This was the one show on Cartoon Network that had mass amounts of off-screen deaths when monsters attacked, and actually even showed the aftermath of the battles and how the city and world was impacted by them. It made it more immersive and believable. It didn't feel like a cartoon at that point, because it took the world seriously and things had consequences that showed up in later episodes. We don't get shows like that anymore in CN, sadly. But, that's what makes ST stand out more.

This was the show, for me. As a teen when this came out, this one, this was the show that absolutely broke my heart when it never came back. It's when I stopped watching cartoons, because my uncle, an animator, explained that sometimes, good things just don't get another shot.
In a way, that explained a lot to my growing mind as a kid- understanding that I'd never get more of a thing I really loved, it helped me understand the importance of loving something while it's around, and look back at it fondly.

Seeing how such a world would be seen by people, or rather Programs, who lived in it 24/7 rather than the perspective of the User the films provided. Another concern the network likely had with the show is likely a very expensive show to make. It is a shame because it was the CN counterpart of Avatar: The Last Airbender. It may be an "action" show but it was a lot more than that. It was a very character driven series and arguably the most mature series Cartoon Network had excluding shows that had their start on Adult Swim. It could have stayed for more than 1 season if it had a good promotional campaign and a good time slot (should had been Friday or Saturday at 9 or 10 PM).

Anyone who watched this show, you know for a fact they will NEVER forget it because of how incredible it was. From the mature and serious themes with great main characters, unique and deep story, enjoyable side characters with actual depth in their personalities as well, top tier and well thought out action and fight scenes, actual menacing monsters and villains alongside great music, what's not to love about this show? Well apart from the one random twerking scene of the chick who loved our man Octus, everything else was great. The thing which perhaps made this specific show stand out from other action packed shows with giant robots was that the world building aspect was handled pretty well and realistically. Like the aftermath of a battle in a specific area which occured in one episode would be shown in another episode. The show even well depicted the deaths of innocent civilians off screen whenever huge monsters would attack, something most shows don't do or tend to ignore due to being "too mature for kids and teens". In short, Symbionic Titan is one of the best cartoons to ever come out in our lives. I hope someday like Samurai Jack, it gets a continuation because it 100% DESERVES it!

I don't think I ever watched this show on Cartoon Network. It looks really interesting. Great video, Jordan.

I personally think that the man why fixed Octus, and is Solomon's boss, actually is Lance's father.
It's clear that G3 has Galalunian tech BEFORE the trio arrived on Earth. And Steel only gets his hands on Mutraadi tech from the aftermath of fights, hence Steel Hammer.
Now, in the Shaman of Fear episode, we learn that the experiment that lead to Lance's father vanishing was the Rift Gate project.
It's also clear Octus is a highly unique and experimental robot, being activated the day the trio are sent to Earth, and even the King seemed surprised when shown a hologram of Titan. So, it's possible that Octus was originally designed by Lance's father as well. Or a close colleague. Leading to how the mysterious man could reactivate him.
Also, in the episode where Lance and Ilana are taken by G3, Solomon was defying orders, as his boss told Solomon to strictly only watch the trio, and not engage.
It's not impossible that the mysterious figure we see miraculously fix Octus is Lance's father.q

I really want or wanted a season 2 where the classmates discovers the secret identities of the main group and Lance name cleaned up or recognized by his hometown

I didn't watch this show when it was on because when I first saw it, I was like "eww, giant robots?" But now in my 20s I've been desperate to find well-crafted plots and characters in cartoons and this was one I absolutely loved. I wish someone would see the fan base for this show and have the writers give it the proper ending it deserves. I love the sarcasm and poking-fun nature the show has while also being heartfelt and action-oriented. Octus's episode about finding meaning in himself as more than a robot and the animation/soundtrack of Kimmy dancing to "Space Age Love Song" by A Flock of Seagulls in the street while Titan and a monster fight in the background cemented this show in my mind.

The problem is that Cartoon Network Head felt that it wasn't the right show for their audience. Same went with Thunder Cats, Young Justice and so on. They replaced those shows with idiotic "kid" shows that made 5 year olds cringe.
