- It may be hard to believe that a show about a couple of antiques dealers driving through the country in search of other people’s junk would be a hit, but A&E’s “American Pickers” is just that. Now in its 23rd season, the show seems to be as successful as ever, even if it is missing one of its key players.
As “American Pickers” has grown in popularity, its stars have had the opportunity to work with some pretty famous people. While it’s easy to get starstruck in front of your idols, one moment seemed to be a bit much for many fans. This is the Danielle Colby moment that went too far on “American Pickers.”

I liked the show initially but then they starting having too much Danielle and Robbie. I didn't watch the show to see Danielle and Robbie. I watched the show to see Mike and Frank. After a while it felt like a bait and switch. I don't tune in anymore.

This shows the stigma of addiction/Alcoholism. Even though he had a drinking problem once it was corrected they shouldn't have turned their back on him and shit him out. In my opinion Frank made the show.

Although, Danielle, is touchy and very hands-on with eVeRyOnE, if you actually watch the show. This is definitely just her being herself. So what if she had nothing to do with the van being purchased and fixed up, that's not her job. I'm sure she told Mike that she wanted to meet Steven Tyler, and he said "sure". I may ask my employer the something in that situation? Who knows?

My brother’s friend he grew up with in Perth Western Australia, is a former top catwalk queen. She was based in New York and worked in Milan, London, Paris and wherever else models sneak around. Anyway, she’s 30 to 35 now and better than before but I’m 61 and only like women around my own age and it would be a better world if everyone thought the same way. At a party in Brisbane about 10 years ago she asked my brothers friend,”Who’s that really wrinkled up, creepy looking old man over there?” My brothers friend said,”Mick Jagger, Why?” Because he just came up to me, she said, and said.
“Hey there beautiful, how about you coming back to my house for some fun for the night?” She said he was then grossly trying to pick her up like he was the king ordering a servant around. She said he was an ugly wrinkled up piece of crap and he acted like he was in shock when she said,”Get lost creep.” She said he looked totally dumbfounded that a mere mortal was able to resist the charm he can’t resist himself and able to avoid the Voodoo Lounge Virginity Violator. I liked the Pickers. Mike had the brains and the taste. Frank was just a sidekick. Danielle brought the 'spice' to the show. She was most likely acting authentic when they met Aerosmith, icons of rock.
This why you become a rock star ----- the Girls !!!!!!!!!!!
My wife and I think Danielle is fantastic and the greatest thing we like to see without Frank there is Danielle and mike picking together.

For the vast majority of people out there meeting somebody famous will usually leave them star struck/flabbergasted/speechless - she probably spent much of her younger days listening to Aerosmith and similar bands (judging by the genre of concert shirts she wears on the show) and so meeting the band was probably a big moment for her.
As for them using the band as a tie-in to push ratings it'd probably be more the other way around: letting viewers of the show (who would be in the band's target demographic) know they are performing in Las Vegas to help boost ticket sales.
Who cares it's a show on TV. A SHOW..... Not a documentary.

Man!!! One of the greatest American Rock Bands!! Who is handling them??? What are they doing one this show? If I had anything to do with managing them, one of the most ICONIC Rock bands would not be on that cable show! They would be put back on their Pedestal and only appear where it is worthy of them! On stage where they belong along rock royality like the Stones, the Who ect!!!

I agree. I initially enjoyed a show called American Restoration. Unfortunately, it soon became a little ridiculous. Instead of concentrating on a restoration project, the show began to center around which of the cast members could eat more hotdogs, or hit a golf ball the furthest.

What's the big deal about the soap opera crap...the van is and should be the focus..it was rotting in the woods somewhere and they resurrected it for posterity's sake . Aerosmith obviously had an emotional blast from their past while reacquainting themselves with the grunt days and what that van did for them...the rest don't matter.and get the other guy back... forgiveness goes a long way

What I hated about this show was when Mike would stick his head up Vietnam veterans asses oblivious to the fact that that those veterans were duped and or forced into being thugs for the worlds largest mafia (U.S. gov.) I also got ripped off buying a rebuilt Husqvarna 250 from American Pickers. It was just repainted JUNK. I would not buy anything from them again.
