Now that’s impressive.
Best thing to happen for the Navy for years….investment in decent ships and aircraft.
The whole thing projects British sea power, it’s what we needed.
The best thing about going away ............coming back to those you love.
Cheers mate much love from America🇺🇸🇬🇧
Those Type 23's never let us down. The Type 26 has big shoes to fill.
In fairness no ships or boats or aircraft (pending the BoI) let us down. One T45 was delayed thats all.
How did they let us down? They’re sub hunters aren’t they?
Good thing that nobody ever attacked them with missiles.
For some inexplicable reason, they lack CIWS guns.
@@abrahamdozer6273 What? They have 32 x Sea Ceptor. Anti-missile and aircraft. Plus anti ship missile and 4 torpedo tubes. Sound like enough…
@@tomtdh4903 Sea Ceptor does a different thing. If it's "enough" why does the Type 45 carry two Phalanx, The Queen Elizabeth carriers each carry three and the upcoming Type 26s will get two each. If they're not necessary because you've got Sea Ceptor, why waste all that money? The Type 23s are unusual in the World for missing that layer of defence. If the ships of the Falklands task force had been equipped with them , a lot fewer would have been lost. It was a "new" weapon around that time.
Bloody well done Navy. You did us proud. 👍👏
Well said!
Hear hear!
Hope Nemo gets to enjoy the F-35 they very generously donated
With help from the USMC and the Dutch Navy.
@@CarTM Its no longer there. It was lifted over a week ago.
"No generosity was involved in the crashing of aircraft"
Had an absolutely banging day yesterday, meet my Nephew off Defender, then watched his last ship Diamond pass while on the helicopter deck, then watched the QE come in, amazing day
You do know standards have dropped and she is 1 plane down? Sute you do, higher standards please.
Welcome home 🇬🇧
Sure.

Great sequence. Welcome home all. Time for a well earned rest for ships and crew!
best navy in the world best bloody country in the world
Welcome home, lads and lasses - your tour might just have made the world a safer place, for now. Have fun, good luck on your next deployment!
Welcome home to all our brave men and women. Enjoy your well-earned rest, and the time with your families and friends.
Great to see a couple Irish flags there supporting the men and women too 🇬🇧🇮🇪
Well said. Irish Citizens are free to travel, work, vote and serve here courtesy of the CTA dating from 1923. And we have had cause to be very thankful for their service in 2 world wars.
I thank you all fo your selfless service God bless you all hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year
2:40 Someone needs to remind the chef he's left the gas on under the chipper...
Great video ….happy family reunion for Xmas….brings back memories from my time at sea 🙂🇬🇧
Great job 👍👍
Stand tall chest out be proud! RN.
I felt so nostalgic watching this, God save the Queen!
❤️ Thank You All
Beautiful
Its not the heaviest neither its has CATOBAR or EMALS to launch heavy aircrafts or powerful marine Nuclear reactors in it. But damm QE she is most beautiful ship i saw ship in Mumbai man this thing is beast.

Beautiful carrier. Great.
Great to see HMS QUEEN ELIZABETH & the strike group doing exercise with the Royal Malaysian Navy's. Bravo Zulu... 🇲🇾🇬🇧
Welcome home.🙏
so proud of our navy
💖 and duty watch to muster!
Great to see everyone home after a long deployment! It is amazing how it shows on the ships though, they'll need to get the paint brushes out after Christmas!
Yes that always interests me. Oxidisation shouldn't happen if they're painted correctly. Strip back to bare metal, ferrous metal primer, 2 coats undercoat, 2 coats top coat all applied by airless air assisted sprayer. Good quality paint and it will last for at least 5 years before need of touch up.
@@tomjohnson3356 commercial ships seem to fair better? Perhaps it is because of it being a more flat type paint? Or perhaps a lower radar reflection? Or just cheap paint??
Great thx
The Royal Navy puts the UK back on the map
Hope to see her and her crew back in the Pacific theatre soon. Democracy and freedom needs her more than ever!
The QE's battle group deployment to the Far East was absolutely successful. Sadly losing the highly expensive F-35 in the Mediterranean Sea on the return leg marred just a little bit what could've been a flawless operation. Welcome home, lads! Incidentally, has the F-35 fished out of the water?
They said they have got it
¡Rule Britannia! ¡Britannia rules the waves!
Keep up the amazing work. Keep growing your navy. Love to see you guys becoming the power on the waves you once were, hope to see you beat China to the punch on nuclear carriers. Can't wait to see your 6th gen fighter, keep it up. GBUS
HMS Defender is back in Portsmouth! I know it!
They did us proud!
Amazing, in my day in the MN we went away for 6 or 7 months, sometimes to war zones. We were never welcomed home.
Building both Type 26 and 31 frigates is brilliant on the part of MoD and RN; hopefully costs can be controlled. Don't know if the Canucks or Aussies don't have enough bean counters but their Type 26 costs are sky rocketing! Good job pale Brit-folk! hee hee. Meanwhile the Canadian CSC Type 26 might start cutting steel in 2024? The Aussies need to jump start and order a few more Hobarts and start training sub crew and engineers ASAP. Canadian naval shipbuilding costs are 55% higher than in the US.
Cant wait to be involved with something like this. I know I'm jumping the gun a tad as I dont have my Civvie to Jack start date yet, so wont be returning for a few year 🤣.
But still cant wait
Have a cup of tea and a quick bite to eat your needed in the channel 👍👍
Qu'elle belle et moderne marine renouvelée . (ex de la Marine Nationale)
How times have changed. All credit to the crews for their hard work - but it is a sign of changing times that a 7 month cruise is now considered a long deployment. When I joined the standard overseas deployment was two years and in recent 20th century history deployments to the Far East ranged between 3 to 5 years (and no possibility of a cheap flight home and no social media for Facetimes, etc. I think on the whole, that's a big improvement for crew and family welfare.
Don’t see any US Marines coming down the gangway or on the deck of HMS QE. Have they left the carrier earlier or just simply not shown here? In any case, a big thank you to them for taking part in HMS QE maiden deployment.
yeah, the US forces got off in the Mediterranean i think
They will definitely be better with planes.
Where have they been
Cant wait to see the fly on the wall documentary ?
how much mileage in total kind of wonder
💜🇬🇧💚🇬🇧💜🇬🇧💚
Ud hope they would put the new upgraded engines from 45 into type 26
How does it work know does a new crew take over or the fleet goes off duty surely its a 24/7 365 job
Some ships (and boats) have 'Starboard' and 'Port' crews so they can rotate while keeping the ship / boat operational. Done more on foreign based ships like minesweepers and frigates in the Gulf and Patrol Boats in the Pacific and in the Falklands.
Minus one F35
Sadly not all long deployment home comings are like this.
So proud of our ship builders. These carriers are only second to the US. Let’s not mention Russia’s rust bucket.
You can see nothing how well armoured they our. Apparently HNS QE can launch a drone swarm as well as launching f35s.
The Brits really are second to none when it comes to warships, definitely quality over quantity.
Not second to American carriers.Just different. Both can bring the pain to someone's front door.
A QE on full war load can launch more sorties in a 24 hour period than a Nimitz.
@@oldcynical2845 nah, they be second buddy. no other country has carriers that size or has aircraft more advanced. RN is lucky to have 2 super carriers that practically dwarf anything other nations field
@@brettmitchell1777 No it can't, no where near as many, a Nimitz class can launch 160 sorties per 24 hour period, the QE class 78.
THE QE has no means of launching or recovering any drones unless they're model airplane sized.
Russia looks on with envy and jealousy.
Now drop anchor off the Dover Straights.
Provide protection for our country from the dinghy divers.
Only lost one jet. Clearly some issues going on.
In 1970s they forgot to lash a Buccaneer down and it rolled off the deck of HMS Ark Royal R09
Aggressors and warmongers comes home.
Beautiful....Keeping the World Safe from Communism!
Look at all the rusty patches on those old ships
Complete lack of Naval discipline waving when you should be stood to attention on procedure alpha would not of happened on the old 1960s Ark Royal
Good job welcome back to prison island hms freedom 🇬🇧
He He😄
No RFA vessels or F35 going back to their air station. shame
The lost of the £100 million F35 jet during this expedition, wonder who will be footing the bill and for whoever, it's a very expensive trip indeed.
Lol...you complete numb nut!! 🤣🤣
The tax payers foot the bill they can have my £5 worth gladly.
@Wang Jim….There’s always a CCP Propaganda merchant hanging around….We’ll gladly pay for a replacement.
Its will have cost at least another 100 million to send the carrier group to the other side of the world and back. And losing aircraft is what happens when you scrap your carriers for a decades and have to re-learn how to operate from carriers. Which is actually what the deployment was all about. So I wouldn't worry if I was China, look at all the women on the carrier, not going to go well in a proper war.
@@johnbest4513 …..Should all the women serving on the carrier stay at home and do the ironing then John?

Continue to provoke in other countries' backyard, it may not return one day.
UK Navy looks great and invincible, respest and good wishes to all sailors. The only one advice : do not mess with the Russians, be polite and friendly , do not cross the red line and provoke them and You all will prosper and be happy.
did they bring back the F-35 scrap metal or do the Ruskies have it
It has been recovered by NATO. Will make a nice museum exhibit.

Call me old fashioned but I find it strange for a woman to leave her children behind.
Your old fashioned.
The separation from children & family must be all the male or female although it could be could be perceived as different for her
Better that than take them to work!
The children are fine; her fam is ok with it so its really none of your business
Seven months at sea, and then your punished by being made to listen to the bagpipes. The RN must really hate the people that crews it’s ships.
Waste of money. and the came back minus 100 million worth of hardware.
어글리 한국은 언제나 국방의 중요성을 깨달을까? 경항모로 쇼나 할생각하고.. 개 답답
An obscene and expensive charade at this time…
They only lost the one £100 million plane but as a non taxpayer I don't care. They can waste as much money as they like provided I'm not paying for it.
If they keep annoying Putin the carrier will join the F35 on the sea bed lol 😂
