    这戏最有意思的就是,什么时候想吃就吃,吃了一口就停,也不用再补一顿的,感觉都好神仙🤣

I like when he's said I don't need or love concubine and I learn from by death wife too

The Marquis wasn't expecting Shiyi to be there...lol He just made things very awkward...lol I know he didn't plan on an open invitation to dinner but he should've refused or let Shiyi leave. Now everyone is uncomfortable especially Shiyi. It was sweet to see him taking the initiative to feed Shiyi but he totally forgot that his concubine was sitting right there...lol I almost feel bad for him. Shiyi has such a good heart. She was trying to give them time alone but he wasn't about to let her leave. Concubine Qin knew that he didn't really want to be there...she graciously stepped back/let him leave. I highly doubt that Concubine Wen/Lianfang would've let him leave...especially with her.
Poor Shiyi...getting a history lesson on the way home... She's working hard to find an excuse to get rid of him. My girl is desperate to get rid of him but he isn't going anywhere. I love the excuse he used to stay with her..How can she refuse to give him something to drink? I mean he did talk a while so it's possible that his mouth is dry....lol Lingyi is very patience with her.

Wen and Qiao really wouldn't let him go without a scandal/claims. But I can't imagine Shiyi paying them a courtesy call.
Shiyi really tried to run away from him. He likes to communicate with her, he feels her sincere interest, wants her to understand the true state of affairs around the family, especially since she will now have to fulfill the duties of a hostess. He didn't even notice that they had come to her house. He really doesn't want to leave her. It's funny to see how she reacts when he tries to support her / visit her. The opinion of the maids and Shiyi regarding his visit clearly do not coincide. Dongqing and Amber are clearly delighted with the development of events, but their mistress has other plans.

@@Irynash11 Shiyi took the opportunity to visit Qin because she protected her. If she hadn't pushed Shiyi out of the way when the mob started to rush the soup kitchen then...Shiyi would've been hurt worse than she was... Qin has a soft spot for Shiyi. She tried to stand up for Shiyi when Wen was putting her down but of course Wen didn't want to listen to her. Wen looked down on Shiyi because of her status/in the end Shiyi won Lingyi's heart.

This is why no one should have multiple wives. Human beings are bound to feel jealous.

It was actually a rule in Chinese harems that women weren't allowed to be jealous.

How would men have felt being one of a half dozen husbands? This kind of set up never works out well. Men who like this are just cheaters at heart. At least we know this guy in the story would much rather it ONLY be Shiyi...only his mother wants him to have so many. Left to his own devices, he would let the others go.
