Yes! NO ONE is going to notice that you wore that dress once already. They are too concerned about their own issues! I love how you said they aren’t going to write in their journal😂
One of the best travel tips ever is to travel with "one last wear" Items! Keep all your "hole-y" underwear and those items that have just one more wear in them that can be thrown out after you wear them. This makes room in your suitcase for whatever you buy and your suitcase gets liker as you go! LOVE your tips!!!

Not a bad idea
Something that I add to my carry-on is a light weight beach towel. I have a thin one and it's like a microfiber with a tropical print which absorbs water quickly and also dries quickly when hung up. I also remember to pack laundry detergent dissolvable sheets that take up very little space.
Thank you for trying on all the outfits and showing how they look. This is so much better for me than those videos that just show things on the bed. You have done a great job. My only issue is that I like to take a more dressy outfit and shoes for a more formal night. I do manage to travel carry on only but it really takes planning.
Omg I took my grandson on a driving trip to florida & tennessee last summer & I so overpacked That I found myself repacking every single morning! I actually Didn't realize how many hotels have laundry rooms or I would have saved myself a lot of aggravation😂
I've definitely pared down my super overpacking, but I still need a checked bag for a 2 week Europe trip...partly for toiletries where 3 oz in a ziplock just isnt enough and I can't reliably purchase those items at my destination. What my husband and I generally do is one checked bag and 2 carry on's ...not perfect, but works for us.
I am what I like to call a thrifty traveler. I usually fly on the cheapest flights out. They won’t allow much on the plane so I pack very well ! Your ideas are awesome thanks for sharing.
Even years before travel restrictions, hubby and I would find out if our hotel had a laundry mat and then only pack 1/2 of the amount of the days of the trip and wash along the way. The first time that I traveled to London with a university group (30 years ago), others on the trip laughed that my bag was tiny and yet it had a little dent in it because I brought so few items. But with the frigid damp weather there, I rarely took off my raincoat -- so no one knew what (or if) I had on underneath. PS - when I couldn't get to a laundry mat, I would rinse out things in the sink or even spray them with a travel size of FABREEZE to freshen things up.
I’ve always packed in a carry on for 2 weeks or more. I keep everything in the same color scheme such as black & white, everything mix & matches. Put items in your shoes like socks, underwear or bras. I’ll be in Scotland then Copenhagen this summer but it’s never very warm so lightweight layering pieces are key. I buy toiletries when I get to my destination as they even have Dollar Stores. One tip for going through security is wear 2 pairs of socks then you can take off the dirty one and stow it keeping your clean ones.
Great idea about the socks! One thing I find that is lacking in some places in Europe is a good quality hair conditioner. I use a solid one that you can buy from lush cosmetics, or from Esty.

I always roll my clothes…takes up a small amount of room & they stay less wrinkly!! I have a similar bag that fits over my carry on…love it!!🥰
I never travel wearing a belt. Too much trouble with security (take off) and it’s restricting. My “go to” travel pants is a pair of black flared yoga pants that I can also wear as dressy with a cute blouse later in my trip. May I also add that a wonderful piece to have is a silk kimono, which can also double as a blouse (over a tank), swimsuit cover-up, or scarf.
Carry-on only is always my goal. Just a word of warning, some European airlines are very strict on size and weight restrictions. I frequently fly Lufthansa, leaving from Charlotte, and they always weigh my carry-on and scrutize personal items very carefully. So, just be sure you understand all the size and weight restrictions on each airline you are flying to ensure there are no surprises.
We’re flying with them from Munich to Krakow after an overnight flight from Houston. Carry on only due to a very short connection time and ease of travel. Hope we pass muster. I will probably be wearing my heaviest clothes so that I can always lighten up my suitcase by stuffing my jacket pockets. Do they also weigh your backpack?

my friends call me Mary Poppins because I seem to be able to pull everything I need out of a tiny bag when they had to bring 3 suitcases for what seems to be the same amount of stuff I had. The trick is to commit to the outfits you bring instead of bringing way to many options for each occasion.

Where I struggle is with shoes. I cant imagine only traveling with 2 pair. For example, I need a water resistant sandal/shoe for the pool or beach.

I love the packing cubes because it's like having portable dressers where you can categorize your items. This was a great packing video. Toiletries are my least favorite thing to pack.

Great show! I do most of these things as a seasoned traveler but really love the bag at the very end of the show! Heading to FL for 5 weeks soon with several hotel stops before arriving in The Villages for a month! Yep, we're looking! That bag would be great to take in for an overnight at a hotel with just what's needed for an overnight. I'll be checking for it in Amazon!

First of all, I loved your video on styling outfits for the week. I’ve done it for two weeks now and had a blast and so much less stress getting dressed each morning. I only had to change out one pair of leggings that didn’t work with the top. I’m probably going to keep up this habit forever.forever ❤ I may try this when we go to Hilton head in May. I just wear a lot of dresses and tend to pack a lot of shoes to go with. I also pack a lot of toiletries, make up, sunscreen hairspray; all the things.😊
Great tips! I have a Vera Bradley bag I use when flying Spirit that fits under the seat. I learned how to fit a weeks worth of clothes going from Michigan to Florida in November. Using ziploc bags for underwear/bras and squeezing the air out of the bag helps save space. Packing cubes help too. Always do the layered outfit for travels days. Have also been known to change from jeans to jean skirt and visa versa at the airports. 😊

I cant' believe I did it but I was able to do just a carry on only and a very small backpack to Italy for 3 weeks. I used packing cubes and they were great. Of course I didn't look as sleek and stylish as other ladies did because I had to be practical but a trip like that is some serious traveling and lots of moving and repacking. My suitcase was soft-sided and was a backpack and a rolling suitcase in one. Great in case you need to walk faster and not roll it. You can always bring your own travel laundry soap sheets and a sink stopper if you want to wash anything. Have fun on your trip Angela!
Totally agree with all your tips! Really find it SO, SO hard not to pack those cute outfits I bought that I thought would look gorgeous ... but take up too much room, are too heavy and are not at all versatile!

Cute outfits. Lots of mix and match. But what about outfits for traveling to a cooler climate? One where sweaters and such will be needed? Also - I didn’t see much space for toiletries and such. But I always enjoy watching your videos, Angela 😊

My problem is we exercise and need some workout outfits also. And don’t forget the beach coverup and sand flip flops, can’t use my good ones. I wish I could use that size suitcase. I always check a medium size bag. Great tips, thanks for the great ideas!
Sometimes I use the workout outfits for Sleep & then use them for working out to save on packing PJ's.

Love your personal item bag but on the Canadian Amazon website it is listed at $365 Canadian. That is more than double your US price. That is just crazy. I mostly wear linen roomier ants with a tshirt, 2 linen dresses from Quince which I wear during the day or for dinner, 1 pair of shorts and several white tshirts more interesting white shirts. I sweat on my back, and we mostly go to the beach, so I’m changing 2-3 times per day. 1, maybe 2, swim suit and coverups, pjs and some flip flops and sandals. I wear tennis shoes on the plane. I wear Athleta pants for travel. My problem is toiletries. Even with paring down, it’s a lot to fit in a carryon.

Great video! We are carry on also. Next trip is 17 days. Still taking the same amount of clothes and will send a few things for the wash/fold service on the ship. That nomad personal item is so tempting but I do better with a travel size backpack for my aching back. Does the Nomad bag get heavy to carry on one shoulder when you dont have it trolleyed on the carry on bag?
This is a great video. I really learned a lot. So if you take that purple thing as your personal item what do you do with your handbag. Do you put that in the suitcase so you can transfer some of your things when you get there. Or is the handbag something you can take on the plane as well.
I only travel with a carry on and 1 personal bag (similar to yours) and have done for years. Funny enough, I find it easier to travel to Europe for 3 weeks with 1 suitcase than travel to Mexico for 1 week🙄

Ha ha, Melissa, you cracked me up about your hair. We have very similar hair….fine….blonde….but yours is wavy and gives you a boofy do. Mine is stick straight and your hair today, would be my boofy do. By the way, I love you in that turquoise top…it makes your eyes pop. Hugs, and enjoy springtime….it is coming early.

I like your mix/match ideas! Less stuff when you travel seems ideal. I used to do carry on only, but have changed my mind. I enjoy clothing and shoe options. And since I'll be on vacation, I don't want to stress over wearing same stuff over and over. I also think cruises are a bit different, as you need so many different types of clothing. We are going on a cruise (in 4 days!) and I've decided to check a bag. It's still one suitcase (albeit larger) and one personal item, right? The fact that I won't have to worry about overhead space on the plane is a plus. Air tags and the fact that we are flying 1st class on United should deter lost luggage, right? ;)

I've travelled the last 2 trips with carry-on successfully; I'm a little worried though because i have a trip coming up next year in the Spring with two different locations. One a sightseeing tour for 8 days, and then a cruise for a week after that! While it sounded like a great idea at the time, now i have to think a little harder on this... 😆 I'll be watching your vids again, me thinks! 😁 Thank you! (How do i do this with warmer/larger clothes for Europe? Yikes.)
We are doing a long trip next summer that includes a river cruise, a week in hotels, then an ocean cruise in Norway. So will need lots of different weight clothes. I did find out that our last cruise offers a $75 unlimited laundry package which we will definitely use. I plan to give them all my dirty laundry when we arrive😆
We, too, strictly do carry on. Once you start traveling this way you’ll never go back to checking bags. 😂 Best purchase for us... Away luggage.

Carry ons are now becoming more expensive than checked baggage. I’m waiting for the personal item measuring box to get smaller too. The last flight I was on had more empty overhead space than I’d ever seen. Also, nobody ever packs workout hiking gear!?!
I don’t know what to do! We are traveling in the Mediterranean for 32 days in winter with 26 days on a cruise with 5 formal nights and visiting 9 countries. We will do laundry weekly but we have to have checked luggage each plus carry on. How can I ever do carry on for a trip like this? Help!

The personal item is great however it does not have wheels. I have flown that way before and it is way too heavy to carry. Next time it has to have wheels.

I carry a back pack. I’m sure it doesn’t hold s much as the bag you are showing. I am older and did not think I could mange a Backpack but so far it is working well for me.

Yes, you can wash in sink or tub with a detergent like soap suds in between uses
