My worry about this work rate thing is that, not only is it physically exhausting, it can be mentally draining if it does not get rewarded. Liverpool under Klopp played unbelievable football and should have won more, but they managed to nick a few major trophies early on to hold on to. I really hope this team is being conditioned mentally to recognize that their time is coming, and that they should keep pushing again and again even if leave empty handed at the end of the season. That is why I have very little tolerance for a divisive fan base right now.
This is why we need squad depth good enough to rotate our main players. We need to get some good coverage this window so that we can rotate properly without dropping our overall level by too much
Their time will come, I'm sure of it. Really sad how entitled & impatient some of our fans can be at times.

Arteta played a controlled tempo before January break, then upped the pace since January, at a time when most fans complained of Arsenal not playing exciting football before January, Arteta knew what he was building towards. The results are there to see, only one loss and one draw since January and blowing teams away with 5s and 6s goals.

it's why the whole team has to get credit for our clean sheets. the system has made us unbelievably compact and hard to break down. Jamie Carragher's segment on how hard Havertz has to work shows it too!

That's why we need to improve squad depth in the summer. And Arteta needs to use it.
Underrated for some, but if you've seen enough times how everyone rushes back in unison to regain possession, forward players included, then you know.
This was why the likes of Pepe, Auba, Mesut cannot be in an Arteta side. On the other hand, also need to produce offensively as well.
Our general stats are just too fantastic not to win the league.

This is why I commented in one of your last videos that you need to do more research to fulfill your football knowledge potential James.
Football teams lose games no matter what, and sometimes u can't quantify why/how but we just have to accept that it happen.
Right now, Pep City is the only obstacle for why Arteta Arsenal haven't or might not win PL this season. It could also be a blessing for why Arteta Arsenal would create another invincible team out of perfection to beat Pep City. COYG ❤⚽️👍💪
If Arteta uses the Tactics he used Against Spurs when we play United when Trossard is close with Tomiyasu James I don't see us losing that game cause united are very open in the midfield

Compact State:
Havertz is playing midfielder when not playing striker. Is it possible Saliba and Gabriel defend deeper when Havertz is at 8 instead of Rice?
"Best defence in the world"? That is a bold claim, for sure! Inter Milan has let in fewer, but not at the expense of of not attacking, as it has scored very handsomely too.
Serie a is trash tho.
Worth noting that other players stats are skewed as they don't actually play 90s. Unlike Havertz who even in midfield was better defensively than Xhaka in the final 2 thirds (his tracking of runners is also underrated)
The numbers are also skewed for Havertz because of him playing in midfield where you naturally should cover more ground than a 9.
@@TP-pq9xx tbf he actually covers a lot of ground as a 9 in our 442 shape, defensively him and odegaard are pressing monsters and relentless
@@reecea5432 Yes, I'm not denying Havertz has a good work-rate. One of the main benefits of the false 9 is you are basically playing with an extra midfielder. If Arsenal sign a typical striker to replace Havertz next year then the whole team might suffer as a result. Even City were scoring more goals and reaching a higher points total in the false 9 system with Foden at 9, than they have with Haaland.
I don't disagree that Havertz works hard, but is that stat only when he played up front? Otherwise, its a bit warped by his midfield performances.
What did Arteta say after we won the FA cup. The team weren’t ready or on the right fitness level to challenge. We had a squad full of lazy babies when he took over. Now we are getting a squad full of multi combat warriors. We still aren’t peak either . Anyone we sign going forward I’m getting behind it . I think think we going places in all honesty. COYG 💪

I don’t know if it’s just me but I feel off when I see and hear people wanting/neediness for validation for things Arsenal do. Not because it’s the first time it should happen but it just seems like something that doesn’t necessarily need to happen. Dortmund (despite them being on the weaker draw for the UCL knockouts) aren’t even a good team with an average manager yet they are in the final. James usually does good analysis but the urge for majority Arsenal fans to let everyone know what they’re about is getting abit weird at this point. What are we compensating that we have to say we’re the best in this and this and this and this? I don’t know to each their own I guess

Don't be stupid. Man utd can spend a billion and won't even come close to winning the title. This is a league with one of the best teams in City that the league has EVER seen. It is no easy feat to upland them without putting in a lot of good work with minimal or less mistakes than them. Even utd's best is nowhere close to the form that City of recent seasons have had so far.

The margins are so small in modern football, you have to try to win every one of these mini games.
Attacking against a low block, counter press, transition to defend, defending, transition to attack (build up/counter), pressing, set pieces.
If the opponent team attack with 11 players, you would be destroyed if you only defend with 4 players.
That’s why in modern football, you need to attack, defend and play every mini games with 11 players.
To do that, you need versatile players, you need goalkeepers and defenders who can create in the attack, and you need strikers and wingers who can defend. And also, you need all of them to work hard, so you would start every mini game with 11 players, otherwise you would be temporarily outnumbered and lose the game.

That's cool, but already feeling like the excuses and entitlement is being lined up as to why Arsenal deserved to win the league but didn't get it done (again).
The working harder needs to be for not dropping silly points.
They won the mini league only to lose a big pressure game at home to Villa and hand City back the drivers seat to win the title. They literally had one thing to do that day.
If Fulham don't do something at The Cottage, it is all over in my opinion.
Whatever you say man. They have 3 games left and literally anything can happen. That also means full well knowing they can go on an all-win streak, but it is not like that is something we rule out, we know it is very much in their hands. We just focus on our last 2 games before whatever we wish of man city even matters. They are favorites from our screw-up at Aston villa, how hard is that to see. No need for ppl to tell us the obvious. Whatever it is, club's made an improvement from last and we're going stronger and stronger. Once City finally gets called out for its charges, arsenal is very much in a good position to challenge for titles
