- Katherine Jenkins OBE, patron of leading children’s bereavement charity Grief Encounter launches Children’s Grief Awareness Week 2018. The song, from her soon to be released album, ‘Guiding Light’, has been performed with the Grief Encounter Children’s Choir, featuring 14 bereaved children aged from 5 - 11 years old. The Grief Encounter Children’s Choir, one of the unique therapeutic services offered by the charity, was set up to provide alternate creative therapy for children who did not feel comfortable with, or are unable to benefit from, traditional counselling methods.
Every 22 minutes a child in the UK experiences the death of a parent or sibling, equating to an astonishing 1 child in every classroom bereaved before they reach 16 years old. So sorry for your loss Sharon, when my mom passed away in 2019 I began to refind my faith. It comforted me knowing that one day we will be united again in Christ. We never get over a loss of a loved one but we slowly climb out of sorrow and realize that we need to live our lives to the fullest. I hope you begin to feel a bit less sorrow each day. Speak to your sister out loud...shes listening.

I sat and listened and thought about my Mother who passed away some years ago and how badly I miss her. This song with the children bought her back to me again and I simply sat, listened and cried. Katherine, you are God's gift to this world. I listen to you on a daily basis and will until, God willing, He takes me up there to wait for you to arrive.
I think that perhaps the angels can't wait for you to arrive because when your time comes (not too soon please Lord) the angels will have something to be jealous about. May God bless you Katherine, and keep you safe.

Fantastic and no matter how many times I listen or watch it brings a tear to my eye especially all the grandparents, mothers and fathers those children have lost. This song would be fantastic as a Covid healing song and to help the thousands whom have lost family and friends.

My daughter died at the tender age of 16. A friend of mine sent me a link and when I heard it I cried. Then on December 14th 2020 my husband died of cardiac arrest at his mother's house. I played this for us and we had a good cry.

When I think about this song , it is so emotional, my mom lost her mother when she was a teenager, and she lost her dad in 1993, and in 2020 my mom lost her Brother Ron.

My papaw passed away on mother's day in 2019 and my nana passed away on 4-9-2020. It has been 3 years since my papaw died and 2 years since my nana died. And to this day I am jealous of the angels

Younger sister by 4 years.i lost my step dad in 2013 and my grandfather 2005.lts hard losing anyone I don't care how old you are
