Well, what have we got here.....lots of used-to-be, de-engineered Volkswagens which had the misfortune to fall into the hands of adolescents, pranksters, juveniles, or wannabe's. I just wish there were more people who really appreciated these cars for their history, heritage and design excellence and and sought to celebrate this rather than use them as so many blank canvases for self expression and self indulgence !
I understand the laws of older cars there are not favorable. From what I hear it costs more for insurance and the inspection process is pretty ridiculous.
2:20... Is there a reasoning behind why some folks seem to bring the front wheels in ( shorten the wheel base) like this guy at 2:20..?? Just for looks ? Seems to me other then looks there are no benefits to it . I just personally cant get into that look

3.44 plus you can go to a .82 4th gear instead of .89 which is stock. Multiply that to get your final drive. those are great if your running short low profile tires and still want freeway driving speed.

Partly for looks, partly for function. Allows you to go low and tuck your front wheels without rubbing on the fenders
