I always attached a Light Dragon horn or shard to the Master sword. Seems fitting that the Darkness Sealing sword would also have healing properties to it.
Did that too when I first got the sword, but I am not really sure what the shard does exactly. Heal, yeah, but like how?

Same. Plus, it feels right from a story perspective... If you know what I mean ;-) (no spoilers)
Given how much storyline and emotional weight the Master Sword is given in this game, it's kinda weird that it's both weaker _and_ less durable than before.
Well it was a bit too op before, even in Master Mode.
That's actually one of the very few gripes i've had with BotW and TotK... it's the Master Sword, a, legendary weapon both in the lore of all Zelda games and, on a more meta/out-of-game-level an iconic weapon that is linked (pun not intended) to its wielder like very few other weapons in video game history. It should not be as weak as it is in these two games. I get it, to an extent, they want to encourage usage of a wider variety of weapons and, in TotK, promote the whole Fuse-Mechanic, but still... the way i see it, it should just have a damage output that is not too low, but not as high as the most high end weapons, balanced out by infinite durability. Because it's the freaking Master Sword...
@@shadowcat1606In all fairness, it having infinite durability would break the game
Not weaker if you count fusion. TOTKs master sword can have anywhere between 30-115 damage per hit depending on fused item and enemy compared to BOTW where it had between 30-60 max. BOTWs fully upgraded master swords durability on the other hand was much higher (180 hits before breaking i believe) and was what made the weapon so useful imo. That's what I'm looking forward to in some DLC, make it match the durability of BOTW and I'm happy
@@wildbard4112 Not exactly. An infinite durability master sword wouldn't be fusable which would turn the rest of your inventory into useful utility items, and there are weapons that deal more damage. I find myself barely using the master sword because all of the other weapons are already more useful.
Kinda crazy how Zelda strengthened the sword for thousands of thousands of years and it's actually weaker than was in the last game
not in every case. In any form of Ganon fight, it's unbreakable. I went into a phantom Ganon with badly damaged on screen and it didn't break, and then I tapped a boko and it broke
@@jstar3382 same, wore it down chasing "Zelda" around the castle, but it lasted the whole Phantom Ganon fight no problem. I assume Ganondorf is the same way
So the sword has infinite durability in its powered up state? That means if we get a DLC to keep it permanently powered like in BotW it'll just never break. Not sure that'll happen but I've got my MsgNotFound if not.
@@speedude0164 No, it still runs out of energy when it's glowing, it broke in the middle of a fight in the Depths with a couple of Silver Moblins and some Black Bokoblins. It's only infinite durability against Ganon enemies specifically.
@@Tildryn That being Gloom Spawns and the final boss?
What I don't understand is why it doesn't have the effect the demon bow has where it's base power increases in proportion to your max hearts. Especially since in the cutscene with the great deku tree he explains that the sword will constantly grow in power when bathed in sacred light and that it's power is potentially limitless, and of course we're collecting lights of blessing that is literally sacred light.
The more hearts you have, the farther the thrown beam will go. that's all. sad face
I guess they didn't want us to have such a reliable weapon even late game. The sword is pretty underwhelming in this game sadly but I love that idea. It might make it kind of annoying to use in the depths but it's better than what we have now. Plus, its pretty fitting for the story
@@AustinJohnPlays do yellow hards count as well?
@@numberzero9231 They don't. Just the base hearts
Not only that but its been bathing in the presence of a dragon with light and time powers.... for god knows how long Raurus time was before totk. It should be at least stronger than the base master sword in botw. Which I guess narratively it is since it can stand up to ganon and not take durability damage against him but still. I miss my 60 damage master stick. Those trials were a b@tch and a half.
I really hope we get dlc that not only lets us see the power of the sword, but also give it extra durability and power
Edit: I actually had an idea of what the dlc might be, what if they give link his own secret stone to amplifiy his power, which inturn amplifies the power and durability of the master sword
Edit edit: this comment makes me sad now and I really wish it didn’t

Only 1.5 damage on the base.
@@AustinJohnPlayshopefully they add some DLC to boost it. You’d think “bathing in sacred light for thousands of years” would boost its damage significantly lol

@@Washyourpoptarts Apparently the 1000 year light bath just gives it a resistance to shattering in cutscenes.
@@RubenRyb66 Key word resistance not immunity
I would have actually been okay with the master sword being unbreakable in this one, because of how strong some weapons get in this. Not breaking could be the mastersword's thing, so you just use it on weak enemies you dont want to waste durability on. Just make it so the items you fuse on to it break after like 20 hits or something, and then it goes back to the base 30.
Then you'd only use the master sword though
@@shevrett2658 And you are fine with the way it is now, with basically nobody using it as a serious weapon? I only used it in BotW for breaking guardian legs and even still there were better weapons for that. In this game I don't use it at all.
An alternative that I would have really liked to see is if the master sword still acted like it currently does, but slowly recharged while not in use without it needing to run out first. That'd be a solid compromise for me, because right now if I use the master sword for anything it makes me feel like I have to use up the rest of the durability asap so it can be back to full durability by the next time I want to use it. Nothing feels worse than pulling out the master sword and having it disappear after 2 hits because you used it earlier and forgot it was close to breaking. As it is right now I mostly just use the master sword as a tool for breaking rocks and boxes and the like, because I can't trust its durability in a fight unless I've gone out of my way to break and recharge it first, and I'm not going to waste good fuse materials on it when I'm going to have to break and reset it between every use, meaning it's never anywhere near as strong as my other weapons.
If it slowly recharged while not in use, overusing it would still punish you by destroying the fused material and taking it away for 10 minutes, but switching to other weapons and giving it a break would instead reward you by letting you keep the material fused to it and eventually giving you back a fully recharged master sword, all while keeping it available to use in a pinch. It would reduce/remove the incentive to break the master sword on purpose just to reset it, and could introduce some interesting resource management where you get to decide whether it's worth it to use the master sword in a situation that might break it at the cost of losing the material fused to it vs going a little longer with a worse weapon to give it more time to recharge so you can get more use out of a rare monster part.
If you wanted to make it more complicated, you could even make it so that more powerful monster parts make it charge more slowly because stronger monsters contain more evil energy that disrupts the master sword's ability to heal itself. I'd be perfectly happy and more excited to use the master sword if when it got low I could just put it away for a while to let it recharge if it meant getting to keep the silver lynel horn it's fused with.
@@weatherman1504 Yeah. Why use the master sword when you have such crazy fusions. I'm still waiting for a video about the power of the royal claymore + frost gleeok horn. It's way stronger than the gerudo savage lynel saber horn against anything that can be frozen. Even without attack up it kills silver moblins in 4 hits.
@@asraarradon4115 Omfg yes! Durability aside, the Gerudo weapons make for some of the best elemental fusions because the effect can offset the normally low damage of elemental materials.
I said this before on a youtube short but i think it would be really cool if they did a trial of the sword where you have to stick the sword in each of the 3 dragons heads to do a trial and get a flame to slowly buff up the master sword like in skyward sword. Before you get the flame you could also see a memory of the origin of each dragon.
The Golden Godess Trails?
That would be focken awesome! Ever since playing through a certain story quest I have been wondering what the origin of the three elemental dragons are.
That is a very cool idea

I like that they gave it such unique properties, not just for the game design reasons but also lore and story. I told my friends about the glowing when only in the presence of gloom and one of them said "It thirsts for the blood of the demons" and that's the funniest and most accurate thing about it
In BotW, it doubled it's attack stat when around malice. It's WEAKER now than BotW before fusing. The only thing stronger about it is it's durability becoming infinity during the final fight.

@@josiaharaki7310yeah but fusing makes it way more busted would’ve never imagined the ms having base 60
I always fuse it with the Light Dragon's Horn or Shard. For me it seems fitting since it's a Sword that Seals the Darkness. Also, as Zelda said: "next time you face the Demon King, my power will be by your side"
Same! Lol
I do the same. It just feels right
Blade of Evil's Bane
I wish the Master Sword would have glowed golden instead of blue during that final fight.
When it comes to why the Master Sword seems to lose the "perfect durability sparkle," I've played around with the fusing mechanic a little bit, and I think I've figured it out. The perfect durability sparkle is only displayed on a weapon when it has full "base durability" AND full "fuse durability." Like most of the other weapons in the game, the Master Sword has a fuse durability of 25 points, but it doesn't seem to be recoverable, not even when the sword recharges. So, let's say you start a new game and you pull the Master Sword. When you first get it, the sword has perfect durability, and therefor also has the perfect durability sparkle. But as soon as you fuse something to it and then start using it, you'll slowly chip away at the fuse durability. Once you've burned through the fuse durability completely, you'll then start to burn through the base durability, and once you've burned through that as well, the sword goes on cooldown. After the cooldown is over, the game fully restores the sword's base durability, but not the fuse durability, meaning that the fuse durability is only usable one time per save file and that once you've used it, you also permanently lose the ability to regain the perfect durability sparkle, even after the sword fully recharges. You can still fuse things to the sword after this point, but you won't gain any durability for doing so.
Now, I believe that this is actually a programming oversight, because if they reused the same batch of code from Breath of the Wild in this new game, exactly as it was in the previous game, then that wouldn't account for the game's new fusing system or the fuse durability that it brings with it, but the sword would otherwise appear to work fine, which would make this glitch difficult to catch during bug testing. So hopefully if enough people start talking about this, they'll patch it in a future update.
i hope it really is an oversight and not an intended mechanic because i see no reason why it would work this way.
Wow, that is quite the glaring oversight. Maybe if they had spent seven years, huh?
This is incorrect. Honestly I'm baffled how you could come up with that conclusion, it's like you played the game with your eyes closed and no sound.
I'm gonna test this later. I've seen people report that they do get the 25 durability bonus.
Yep, I confirmed it too! Tested on cutting down trees. Fused or uninfused, Master Sword breaks at 40 hits (20 trees, 2 cuts per tree).
I wonder if this is a glitch or intentional. Is there a way to contact Nintendo?
I love how Austin runs his channel. straight to the point always.
Even the editing was on point. The way he cuts from the game to himself as he explains "It's 30" and "It's 40" was brilliant.
@mjc0961 not only brilliant. But a breath of fresh air. I was 100% expecting 4 minutes of garbage to cover up 10 seconds of content with a 50 second outro.
Genuinely watched more videos just because he was straight to the point with the basic info and jumped right into it, answering questions I didn't know I had.
I wish more people did this. It's like anti-clickbait and I love it.
Fun fact for everyone: if you find a well lit area and take a really good look at the master sword you will see the blade now has a faint Damascus pattern where the blade regenerated! The pattern resembles woven hair, much like zeldas hair. Bonus fact, Damascus pattern are only very visible when the blade is dipped in a etching acid to strip away that top layer so the pattern being very faint also makes sense!
Weird that the glow form is weaker in this game considering how long it's been powering up this time. Probably just for balance sake as you can fuse stuff to it to make it stronger.
Honestly, I think it's an unnecessary choice for balance.
Absolute max you'd get with it if they kept the 60 power when around evil and you fused a Silver Lynel Blade horn would be 115 damage.
That's not at all weak by any means, but you can get that with more durability from the Lightscale Trident while wet or the Scim of the Seven just by fusing, and those two are useable at that power against everything, not just Gloom enemies
I feel the nerf was super unnecessary when the Master Sword is supposed to be *the* weapon for fighting powerful evil
Of course, if we get a trial of the sword at some point that would be nice
Yeah from a lore standpoint this should be the strongest master sword that has ever existed
Which is stupid. I honestly think that the people responsible for the Gameplay didn't communicate with the Writers for the Story otherwise this would have been noticed. It makes the fact that they took a year to polish this game look bad if in all that time no one noticed the inconsistency. The Writing makes it seem like the Master Sword is stronger than ever when the Gameplay shows that the opposite is the case.
During the fight with ganondorf the master sword can’t break which is why it needs to be balanced. It’s primary purpose is to destroy ganondorf and it’s pretty good at that
@@dsur5547 We're talking about a Mastersword with a theoretical max of 100 damage vs one with a theoretical max of 115.
I don't think that extra 15 damage would have wildly thrown off the balance of the Ganondorf fight.
Just beat the final boss and it was the only time I used the master sword. I’m glad you explained how it works because I was reluctant to use it before

One slightly interesting thing: Using the beam attack to kill an animal while you have a flame item fused causes the meat to drop fully cooked.

Eightfold Longblade's wind cutter does do what you want.
They call it the "Baker's Blade"
Oooh using this, thanks!
Does this mean adding a freezing item like an Ice Lizalfos horn would make it icy when you kill something with the beam?
As I finally got the Master Sword last night and saw there was no power number, this comes at a perfect time
I like attaching a Light dragon horn so when you attack with it you regain your health and you are able to keep shooting the beams, while it isnt the most powerfull option out there, I just like the mechanic of it lol. I also hope we get some DLC in the form of master trials and maybe something fun like the champions ballad too.
Doesn’t the master sword also have increased durability when fighting those gloom enemies?
Edit: It doesn’t. Only against the final boss.

Against gloom: 45 power and 40 durability
Against final boss: 60 power and infinite durability.
Ah that explains a lot. Not like it needs it since SINCE I CANT APPARENTLY HIT THE MFER
I used it during the final boss (It was too thematic not to!), and I was grateful it couldn't break. It might be required for the final phase too, as I've seen speedruns where they get it in a cutscene before the fight.

Durability is worse, damage is worse, because we can't upgrade it anymore
I don't know.. it makes no sense that it is that weak 😅 I really hope we can upgrade it in the dlc
I mean, every other weapon in this game got nerfed because of the fuse mechanic. The master sword having 30 base damage in totk makes a lot more sense compared to botw (in botw a royal broadsword would have higher damage than a master sword)
@@Zxpn i get the point of the sword being nerfed because of fuse, but i don't get the point of them saying "stronger than ever before" but 50% of all weapons in the game are stronger*
*Edit: and the sword being probably weaker than ever..
Yeah and story wise makes no sense (lots of time and sacred power) still is at 30
It's probably to counterbalance the fact that you can turn the Master Sword into an elemental powerhouse with fusions. I prefer to put on opposing element horns with it when I am doing main quest-line stuff (fire for snow regions and vice versa). Even if you aren't insta-gibbing elemental enemies, it's still strong to get a high damage ice hit in with the Master Sword, and then follow up with a lightning attack for absurd burst damage.
I always use the Master Sword for smashing rocks and ore. I never waste powerful or rare monster parts on it since it breaks (sort of) quickly, and because it regenerates after I can reliably use it to smash things without wasting durability on my other weapons.
Silver Moblin horns are my go-to, since I always have a lot of those and they're good at smashing things. If I need to cut things I use the Silver Bokoblin horns, which are even more common.
Thanks for the info! I'm surprised the Glowing phase of the Master Sword is only 45. I figured it would be the same as BotW at 60.
Same here
I guess however many years it was since zelda traveled to the oast (which is likely more than 10 thousand because this was before the calamity) were not enough to restore it to its proper self but 100 years were?

I figured the Master Sword's base power was 30 from BotW, but I thought its base power when glowing would be 60 like in BotW. That the Master Sword is only 45 when glowing is a weird change.
It's cause you can always make it a lot stronger with fusing. If you could slap on a silver horn to a 60 weapon that think would be over 100 with no buffs and the game doesnt seem to like that option. It needed to be 60 when 60 was one of the stronger mid weapons you could have in the game and couldn't improve on it.
@@Whofan06 can't other weapons reach over 100 with little to no problem. The Gerudo weapons make a Silver Lynel fusion 110 just by one fusion. Since the Master Sword would need to be fused, glowing, and can't be refreshed by Octorocks 115 seems pretty fair for a short time.

Hi Austin, I really like how you put your videos together it’s helpful how you talk through whole thing and give such specific instructions. In one of your recent videos you said you reached out to “The creators” Of the Zelda series, And got them to add a missing gleeok back in to the game from tears of the kingdom. That’s so COOL!
I think it would be really cool if there was some way to add in another special ability- like maybe to disappear and reappear like a yega. Or flying abilities activated by stamina. Or electricity powers, by creating a charge between Links hands and be able to shoot a lighting bolt as a weapon to hit far away or close up enemies.
Thanks for this. I was really wondering.
Dude I have never been able to figure this out, thank you so much! I’ve always been completely lost when it came to the master sword 😂😂
The master sword should be the most powerful weapon in the game, period....
Thank you for answering it in the beginning, I love you.
I've been storing a frost gleeok horn on it lately as the damage boost from breaking a frozen enemy effectively doubles (I think) the overall output of the sword.
I say I think because I haven't seen confirmation that breaking a frozen enemy does triple damage still. It kind of feels like it was reduced to double, but I'm not sure.
Thank you so much for this explanation. It was driving me insane as to no full durability on the Master Sword after the restoration cooldown. I thought I broke my game somehow. I do hope Nintendo does a Trial of the Sword type DLC like you mentioned to fix this issue. It also should just be a powerful sword after completing all the story stuff for it.
I appreciate how you always get to the point with your videos!

I do hope any future DLC does include upgrading the Master Sword. Not sure if the Trial of the Sword that was done in BOTW was considered canon, but I have wanted to have an OP Master Sword again at least since by now a lot of people have already done the difficult aspects of the game or even beaten the game too so I think it should be okay for those who like to use OP characters at this point.

I feel like the master sword did massive damage against ganondorf when fused with a silver lynel horn, but i guess they just get a slight boost
Someone said it has a base of 60 in all Ganondorf fights. I also had it fused with a silver lynel horn, which would put it at 115 damage I think?
Killing Ganondorf is the sword's purpose for existing so I guess it makes sense!

Finally!! Been waiting for this video for a minute
I hope that the new trials of the sword have way harder endings to it with more levels to progress through and it gives it infinite durability as a super reward for doing the hardest content they could possibly add, just let the fused items break after their initial 25 health is over with as to not make it broken
unfortunately there won´t be trail of the sword in this game :(, or any additinal content for that matter
Hey Autin. Great video, was actually needing of this exact topic so thanks again.
Quick question: how do you check/know a weapon's durability stat in totk?
They have a Google doc floating around that gives basically all that information data mined. I think highest durability items on the base classes were the Lightscale Trident, Scimitar of the Seven, and the Biggoron Sword. Most items scale down from that similar to damage values, except mostly obvious choices like the stalfos arms.
data-mining or you count how many times you hit a viable object until it breaks
Yes! I did find this helpful 👍
I was just wondering about the Master Swords power just a few minutes ago. Nice!
They nerfed the master sword so much in totk. It's so not usable, I really hope the 60 base power insane durability master sword returns in an upcoming dlc.
The Master sword is….really pointless in both breath of the wild (unless you do the trial of the sword quest in that game) and basically useless in tears of the kingdom. Disappointing considering how more important it has gotten in the main story in tears of the kingdom. If tears of the kingdom gets DLC or update or whatever at some point in the future, I REALLY hope they do another take on trial of the sword quest. I’d be down for that challenge again.
Hi,I love your channel and I’ve been living all your content!
Some other unique details I found using both the glitched master sword from the beginning of the game and the master sword you would normally obtain through the story actually happen in the final battle. The normal master sword and glitched one both glow because of the gloom, but the normal one does more damage and even has a unique sound of the full powered master sword from BotW every time you hit Ganondorf, whereas the glitched one doesn’t do any of that aside from glow. Also, at certain points you can reflect projectile attacks back to Ganondorf with the normal master sword, but the glitched one does not have that capability. Story wise that makes sense because the new master sword has been powered up for thousands of years after being decayed in order to fight back against Ganondorf’s gloom, but even if it was an accident or oversight I still think it’s a really cool detail
Figured it had similar properties to how it was in botw. The glow effect is nerfed from 60 to 45 but it makes sense since in botw it was exclusive to a much smaller pool of enemies than in TotK. Full power all the time, and never breaking would've made more sense for the context of the story but also would've broken the entire game so I get it. Really looking forward to trial of the sword should they add it!
Would it have though? A Gerudo scimitar (9 power before any damage bonuses) fused to a 52 material has a power of 113. The Master Sword, with the max bonus (60 when fighting Ganon)+52 is 112.
In my opinion, totk made the master sword almost pointless. It only really matters when fighting gloom enemies, and even then normal weapons work better. I’m praying they announce a dlc for the master sword. Maybe a power that can make it more powerful and fitting of the name master sword.
I didn't think they'd make the master sword more useless in the sequel
Thank you Austin! When are we getting the next shrine hunters?
Thanks for this video!
So that's why I felt something's still missing. It's just not as durable when using Fuse on it and even glowing it still felt weaker than in BotW. Now I really hope that we can get Trial of the Sword again since the Combat Training shrines which are pretty much just Trial of the Sword stages were so much fun to do
So fusing does NOT extend the durability of the master sword like it does with all other weapons (base + item = potential max life)?
I thought the master sword seemed to be more short lived in this game.
From what I've read, it does, but only for the first time you fuse it. The sword losing its power and recharging does not reset the first time switch, although maybe it should.
with the durability not being able to be enhanced on the master sword, it’s sad that the white sword of the sky, the weaker form of the master sword in lore, is much more durable and much more useful simply because you can fuse things to it and gain durability
in BOTW i recall that that the mastersword had an unique way of depleting durabilty compared to other weapons.
Which is ironic because the Goddess Sword was forged into the Master Sword by _fusing_ three Sacred Flames.
@@ghoulchan7525 I'm pretty sure that was post DLC.
@@Nyxael5845 exactly, it’s so sad to see how neglected the master sword is in the pure aspects of gameplay. Like just being able to have 70 hits on the white sword of the sky, for me at least, makes it much more usable than the master sword’s 40 hits
Dude i just got on botw and I felt so happy to have blss and btb back as well as Revalis gale
A simple trick I read about on Reddit (when it comes to learning the Master Sword's damage value) is to drop a weapon in your inventory and check the red/green arrow indicator **just before** you pick the dropped weapon up. This will give a bit of the 'range' your Master Sword is at compared to what you pick up.
It's my belief that the Master Sword (especially awakened) should be THE strongest non-fused weapon in the game. Doesn't the Fierce Deity Sword take that slot btw with 38(?) damage?
fierce deity sword is 2 handed
The fierce deity sword is two handed tho. You lose your shield for 8 more damage. Im not against weapons being stronger than the master sword, but I still feel they are not doing the legendary sword that seals the darkness justice.
Not even close, the gloom club has 50 base damage. But, no I don't think the master sword (before some Trial of the Sword-esque challenge) should be the strongest weapon in the entire game. The strongest *one-hander* perhaps, but not the strongest weapon. And even then, in OoT it was beat out by the Biggoron's Sword, in aLttP it was beat out by the Golden Sword, and I'm sure it was beat out by other options in other games as well.
The Master Sword NOT being the strongest option available to you is nothing new, people just want something to complain about. People complained about this in BotW, and they're complaining about it now.
@@Mightylcanis "people just want something to complain about." Why is it bad to complain about that? It's not like we're whining that it glows the wrong shade of blue.
I just think that "The sword that seals the Darkness" that's required in ToTK (and implied in the prequel lol) should be stronger.
Wow. Seeing the numbers on the Master Sword this time around…underwhelming
This is awesome! I personally use the Master Sword all the time cause I am more partial to 1 handed weapons. Thanks for the info and as always you ROCK!!!!!
Respect for the flat answer right at the beginning, and the in depth analysis later.
10,000 years of “powering up” the sword and it comes out….weaker than it was in BOTW. Great job, devs. 🤦🏻♂️🙄 What an idiotic decision. And it’s all because of fuse, which is a terrible idea that could have been cut anyway.
It's cool when you fuse a Fierce Deity Sword to it too. Thanks Austin for all of the videos you're doing the dedication you have for these are incredible it's inspiring I'm going to be a member when I can afford it you're so awesome
I like the Fierce Deity Sword, but it's only 2 points stronger than the Biggoron's Sword and much less durable.
I appreciate the very upfront and obvious answers to the big questions right at the start. That was what I wanted to know and normally I’d click off right there but cuz u weren’t wasting our time I watch through for the algorithm
Thanks!
Dinraal spike doubles as a hammer and fire source, along with it fending off the cold. Truly an all around tool
i wish i had money to give you austin you just helped me in a really big way i didnt know what a blunt weapons was XD i never thought to look at animations but now i know what to use against frox's thanks (i hate how the jump at you its annoying af)
Thank you Austin for the informative video and the hilarious jokes sprinkled in :)
Gracias por explicar te quiero mucho john
Always wondered this.
excuse me sorry for being needy but can you put out a tutorial on the locations of every yiga clan base in the depths (the mini mushroom towns with yiga members that award you with new autobuilds when they are all defeated)
I normally fuse a frost horn to the master sword because its always handy to freeze a few enemy's and handle the rest while you aren't getting dog piled... or just because that ice break sound/animation is just soo satisfying.
"It's thirty." Thank you. That's all I came here for, but I'll watch the rest because your vids are always jam packed with helpful info.
I do like the new glowing runes on the blade tho when u fuse something to it
def recommend attaching any hammer type fuse, especially the bad ones, as it one shots any or deposits without ruining your other weapons durrability
Thanks for this. I love using the Mastor Sword with a horn of Naydra attached as my go-to weapon for weaker enemies. It freezes plus one shots most weaker enemies, and even with the bigger enemies, being able to freeze them in place while I one shot any weaker ones around is helpful. This allows me to keep my stronger weapons in reserve for those bigger enemies and not waste the durability of weapons that can actually break.
Basically, the Master Sword serves as my ever present nuisance solution. When it runs out of energy, I find that it often recharges before I need it again anyway, or I can make a trip to one of my non-combat farming spots while I wait to ensure I remain stocked up on essentials. The biggest issue for me is keeping enough Naydra horns to reattach one every time the MS recharges. I resorted to duping those because Nintendo decided to make dragon farming a real PITA this time around, despite there being no good reason to do so.
That said, I really hope they add in the Master Trials again. Not only would it be insanely fun if they allowed/required fusing and ultrahand-ing as part of the trials, I'd love to see the Master Sword's base damage increased permanently, and its durability extended a bit. I'll never get why Nintendo makes its most iconic weapon one that most players will rarely use. The Hylian Shield is awesome - and it's even quicker/easier to get than the MS. Why make the MS so weak?
I literally just got the sword yesterday!😂😂 Great timing and awesome video!
