  • Surah 17:1 has huge historical problems, and proves to us that the Qur'an was probably written, not in the 7th century, but sometime after 709 AD!
How do we know? Let's look at the historical facts...
Because of Surah 17:1, Muslims all believe that when Muhammad was flown on the back of the winged horse (known as the 'Buraq'), up to the 'Al Aqsa Mosque' (referred to as "the Farthest Mosque" in Surah 17:1), this mosque (or Masjid) was situated in Jerusalem, on the southern wall of the citadel which houses the 'Dome of the Rock'. This flight, they contend, happened when Muhammad was still living in Mecca, around 621 AD.
There are 3 Historical problems with these claims:
    1) This could not, as some suggest, have been a temple or a church that he was flown to, as it clearly says "Masjid" (or Mosque in English) in the text.
    2) Furthermore, if it were a church or a temple, there were much further churches and temples in Europe and Asia at that time. No, it is clear, that this place he was flown to was named 'Al Aqsa', and that it was indeed a mosque. Every Muslim is clear on those two points.
    3) But this, then, is indeed very damaging. Why? Because if Muslims claim it was the 'Al Aqsa mosque' in Jerusalem that he flew to in 621 AD, they need to then explain how a mosque could be there so early, since the Arabs didn't even conquer Jerusalem until 638 AD! So, what was a mosque doing there 17 years earlier, in fact even before the two holy mosques were been built in Mecca and Medina?
Until 638 AD it was a Christian city, and even if there may have been some Arabs living there, no Christian authority would have ever permitted them to build a mosque on such a holy site as the 'Temple Mount'. That could only have taken place once Muslims were in power and had control of the 'Temple Mount'.
What's more, the 'Al Aqsa mosque', which today is situated on the southern wall of the citadel, wasn't built until 709 AD, and the 'Dome of the Rock' around 691 AD, therefore 70 to 80 years too late!
The solution: This is a prime example of a "historical Anachronism", of which the Qur'an has many, which suggests that this verse would have had to have been incorporated into the Qur'an sometime after 709 AD, in order for Surah 17:1 to even refer to it, supporting our notion that the Qur'an was compiled much later than what Muslims claim!

@ FACT: MUHAMMAD (PBUH), THE LAST PROPHET AND MESSENGER OF ALLAH AS MENTIONED IN THE QUR'AN AND AUTHENTIC HADITH
'Qur'an Is The One True Words Of Allah (The Al-Mighty)'
Indeed Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) has clearly and explicitly been mentioned by names for 5 times in the Qur'an (4 times by the names of Muhammad, and 1 time by the name of Ahmad).
      Here (see below):
      1. "Muhammad is not the father of [any] one of your men, but [he is] the Messenger of Allah and last of the prophets. And ever is Allah, of all things, Knowing."
      [Noble Qur'an, surah Al-Ahzab 33:40]
      2. "Muhammad is not but a messenger. [Other] messengers have passed on before him. So if he was to die or be killed, would you turn back on your heels [to unbelief]? And he who turns back on his heels will never harm Allah at all; but Allah will reward the grateful."
[Noble Qur'an, Surah Ali 'Imran 3:144]
      3. "And those who believe and do righteous deeds and believe in what has been sent down upon Muhammad - and it is the truth from their Lord - He will remove from them their misdeeds and amend their condition."
      [Noble Qur'an, Surah Muhammad 47.2]
      4. "Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah; and those with him are forceful against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating [in prayer], seeking bounty from Allah and [His] pleasure. Their mark is on their faces from the trace of prostration. That is their description in the Torah. And their description in the Gospel is as a plant which produces its offshoots and strengthens them so they grow firm and stand upon their stalks, delighting the sowers - so that Allah may enrage by them the disbelievers. Allah has promised those who believe and do righteous deeds among them forgiveness and a great reward."
      [Noble Qur'an, Surah Al-Fath 48:29]
See what Jesus (pbuh) clearly said (admitted/declared) about himself and Muhammad (pbuh) in the Noble Qur’an (below):
      5. "And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, "O children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allah to you confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmad." But when he came to them with clear evidences, they said, "This is obvious magic."
      [Noble Qur'an, Surah As-Saf 61:6]
      And This:
@ MUHAMMAD (PBUH), THE LAST PROPHET, AS IN THE HADITH
      • Muhammad (pbuh) himself explained the phrase "Khatamun-Nabiyyin" by giving examples such as:
“I am the last in line of the Prophets of God and my Mosque is the last”
[The Saheeh Muslim, Kitab-ul-Hajj; Bab: Fadl-us-Salat bi Masjidi Mecca wal Medina]
      • Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:
“I am the last of the Prophets and my mosque is the last of the mosques.”
(Sunan un Nassai, Vol: 2, Page: 35)
      • It is reported by Thawban ibn Bajdad that Muhammad said:
“The Hour will not be established until tribes of my ummah (community) unite with the idolaters, and until they worship idols. And in my ummah there will be thirty liars, each of whom will claim to be a prophet, (but) I am the seal of the prophets, there is no prophet after me.”
(kulluhum yaz‘umu annahu nabī, wa anā khātamu ’n-nabīyīn, lā nabīya ba‘dī).
      • Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman reports that Muhammad said:
"In my ummah there will be twenty-seven liars and dajjals, among whom are four women, (but) I am the seal of the prophets, there is no prophet after me.”
      • It is reported by Abu Hurayrah that Muhammad said:
“My similitude in comparison with the prophets before me is that of a man who has built a house nicely and beautifully, except for a place of one brick in a corner. The people go about it and wonder at its beauty, but say: 'Would that this brick be put in its place!' So I am that brick, and I am the seal of the prophets.”

      Part 1 of 4:
      • The Prophet's Night Journey To Jerusalem (Arabic: Isra) And Ascent To The Heavens (Arabic: Miraj)
      Surah Al-Isra 17:60:
"And [remember, O Muhammad], when We told you, "Indeed, your Lord has encompassed the people." And We did not make the sight which We showed you except as a trial for the people, as was the accursed tree [mentioned] in the Qur'an. And We threaten them, but it increases them not except in great transgression."
      Volume 5, Book 58, Number 228:
      Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:
      Regarding the Statement of Allah"
"And We granted the vision (Ascension to the heavens) which We made you see (as an actual eye witness) was only made as a trial for the people." (17.60)
Ibn Abbas added: The sights which Allah's Apostle was shown on the Night Journey when he was taken to Bait-ul Maqdis (i.e. Jerusalem) were actual sights, (not dreams). And the Cursed Tree (mentioned) in the Quran is the tree of Zaqqum (itself) .
      Volume 4, Book 54, Number 462:
      Narrated Ibn Abbas:
The Prophet said, "On the night of my Ascent to the Heaven, I saw Moses who was a tall brown curly-haired man as if he was one of the men of Shan'awa tribe, and I saw Jesus, a man of medium height and moderate complexion inclined to the red and white colors and of lank hair. I also saw Malik, the gate-keeper of the (Hell) Fire and Ad-Dajjal amongst the signs which Allah showed me." (The Prophet then recited the Holy Verse): "So be not you in doubt of meeting him' when you met Moses during the night of Mi'raj over the heavens" (32.23)
Narrated Anas and Abu Bakra: "The Prophet said, "The angels will guard Medina from Ad-Dajjal (who will not be able to enter the city of Medina)."
      Volume 5, Book 58, Number 227:
      Narrated Abbas bin Malik:
Malik bin Sasaa said that Allah's Apostle described to them his Night Journey saying, "While I was lying in Al-Hatim or Al-Hijr, suddenly someone came to me and cut my body open from here to here." I asked Al-Jarud who was by my side, "What does he mean?" He said, "It means from his throat to his pubic area," or said, "From the top of the chest." The Prophet further said, "He then took out my heart. Then a gold tray of Belief was brought to me and my heart was washed and was filled (with Belief) and then returned to its original place. Then a white animal which was smaller than a mule and bigger than a donkey was brought to me." (On this Al-Jarud asked, "Was it the Buraq, O Abu Hamza?" I (i.e. Anas) replied in the affirmative). The Prophet said, "The animal's step (was so wide that it) reached the farthest point within the reach of the animal's sight. I was carried on it, and Gabriel set out with me till we reached the nearest heaven.
When he asked for the gate to be opened, it was asked, 'Who is it?' Gabriel answered, 'Gabriel.' It was asked, 'Who is accompanying you?' Gabriel replied, 'Muhammad.' It was asked, 'Has Muhammad been called?' Gabriel replied in the affirmative. Then it was said, 'He is welcomed. What an excellent visit his is!' The gate was opened, and when I went over the first heaven, I saw Adam there. Gabriel said (to me). 'This is your father, Adam; pay him your greetings.' So I greeted him and he returned the greeting to me and said, 'You are welcomed, O pious son and pious Prophet.' Then Gabriel ascended with me till we reached the second heaven. @ FACT: THE DESTRUCTION OF JERUSALEM
      Ibn Kathir
'..., (We permitted your enemies) to make your faces sorrowful and to enter the mosque (of Jerusalem) as they had entered it before,...'
Almighty Allah declared: And We gave Moses the Scripture and made it a guidance for the children of Israel (saying): "Take not other than me as your Wakil (Protector, Lord, or Disposer of your affairs, etc). O offspring of those whom We carried in the ship with Noah! Verily, he was a grateful slave."
And We decreed for the children of Israel in the Scripture, that indeed you would do mischief of the earth twice and you will become tyrants and extremely arrogant! So, when the promise came for the first of the two, We sent against you slaves of Yours given to terrible warfare. They entered the very innermost parts of your homes. And it was a promise completely fulfilled. Then We gave you once again, a return of victory over them. And We helped you with wealth and children and made you more numerous in manpower.
And We said: "If you do good, you do good for yourselves, and if you do evil (you do it) against yourselves."
Then, when the second promise came to pass, (We permitted your enemies) to make your faces sorrowful and to enter the mosque (of Jerusalem) as they had entered it before, and to destroy with utter destruction that fell in their hands.
(And We said in the Torah): "It may be that your Lord may show mercy unto you, but if you return to sins, We shall return to Our Punishment. And We have made Hell a prison for the disbeliveers." (Ch 17:2-8 Quran).
Wahb Ibn Munbah reported that when sin increased, Allah revealed to an Israelite prophet called Amos (Mamia) (pbuh) that he should stand before his people and admonish them that they are hard-headed, blind, and deaf and tell them: "I (Allah) remember their forefathers, and that makes Me merciful with them. And ask them about My bounty: can any of them benefit from disobeying Me? And does any suffer who obeys Me? The beasts remember their countries and return to them, but those people have forgotten why I have favored them for the sake of their forefathers, and have misused their generosity. Your cries have forgotten My tenets and your reciters worship other than Me, and your women have not learned a useful lesson and their rulers have lied against me and My messengers. Their hearts and mouths are full of lies. And I swear by My majesty and power that I will send upon them people with strange tongues, and strange faces, merciless in the face of their tears; and I shall send them a tyrannous cruel king, with an army like clouds, and followers like storms, and their flags like the wings of eagles, and the paces of their hoses like the decades of a journey. They will return buildings to dust, and leave the villages a wilderness. Woe betide it and its inhabitants if they shout and invoke! I will not look at their faces."
Ibn Asaker has related the same in these words: Ishaaq Ibn Bishr said that Idris told them that Wahb Ibn Munbah said that Allah the Exalted sent Jeremiah to the children of Israel when the situation had become worse among them - in disobedience, killing of prophets and covetousness. Allah was determined to revenge Himself upon them vindictively; and so He revealed to Jeremiah: "I am going to destroy Jerusalem (the children of Israel) irevenge. Go to the Dome of the Rock. I will give you My commands and revelations." Jeremiah stood up and rent his clothes, and applied ashes to his face and fell prostrate and said: "O Lord! Would that my mother had not borne me, when You made me the last prophet of Israel, and Jerusalem be destroyed in my time." Allah said: "Raise your head." He raised his head, wept, and said: "O my Lord! Whom will You set against them?" He said: "The worshippers of fire who do not fear My punishment, nor expect My reward. Stand up Jeremiah, and hear the news about Israel. Before I chose you, I had made you and favored you and honored you. Go with the king and guide and protect him." (He was with the king while he was receiving revelation from Allah, and they forgot how Allah saved them.) "Go and tell them what I have told you." "O Allah! I am weak and if You do not strengthen me." "Do you not know that all affairs are controlled by Me? I am Allah without semblance, or any like Me. I spoke to the oceans so; I am with you, and nothing shall harm you. Go to your people and tell them: Allah has remembered you, with His remembrance of our forefathers' good deeds. The animals remember their countries and return to them. But those people of yours are drenched in destruction and damnation, for they have forgotten the purpose of My generosity to their forefathers and have misplaced My favors. The scholars and priests have gone astray and have worshipped another god besides Me. "As for their kings and princes, they have been lavished with My bounty and though themse lves safe from My fate. They abandon My Book and kill My prophets. Is it possible for Me to have a partner? Is it possible for Me to make a creature to be worshipped and to be obeyed besides Me? As for their reciters and jurists, they teach and learn what they like. As for the children of the prophets, they are oppressed and seduced and go with the crowd. They want the positions of their fathers without the discipline, patience, piety, and kindness of their fathers.
"By my power, I swear, that I shall send woe upon them that no wise man can understand. I shall replace their luxury with ordeal, chains, and fetters and after dwelling in palaces, they will dwell in dust. I will disgrace and degrade their womenfolk. I create My creatures and slaves with mercy and bounty. If they accept and recognize it, I complete My favors and mercy. When I change My mind, I change My mind; and if I change, I am angry; and if I am angry, I punish, and nothing prospers with My anger."
According to Ka'b, Jeremiah said: "By your grace I have come to learn before You; how is it possible when I am weak and powerless, to speak before You? But by Your mercy You have spared me to this day. None fears this punishment more than I do, because I have been among them while they disobeyed You, yet without it changing me. If You punish me, I deserve it, and if You spare me, I expect it of Your kindness. O Lord, You are Overlord! Are you going to destroy their country when it is the place of Your prophets the place of Your revelations? O Lord the Exalted and Blessed by Your Name! For You to destroy this mosque and all pertaining to it, and those houses which landed Your praise! O Lord, for You to kill these people and punish them, when they are the issue of Abraham Your faithful friend and David Your chosen one! O lord, which village will escape Your punishment then? Which worshipper will escape Your vengeance after the children of Your faithful friend Abraham?"
He on High said: "He who disobeys Me will not detest My punishment. I had honored them because they obeyed Me. If they disobeyed me I will place them among the disobedient, until I rescue them out of My Mercy." ...more

      @ FACT: TAFSIR IBN KATHIR - SURAH 2. AL-BAQARAH, AYAT 23 (23 TO 24)
      Segment 2 of 2:
As for the Qur'an, it is entirely eloquent in the most perfect manner, as those who have knowledge in such matters and understand Arabic methods of speech and expressions concur. When one reads through the stories in the Qur'an, he will find them fruitful, whether they were in extended or short forms, repeated or not. The more these stories are repeated, the more fruitful and beautiful they become. The Qur'an does not become old when one repeats reciting it, nor do the scholars ever get bored with it. When the Qur'an mentions the subject of warning and promises, it presents truths that would make solid, firm mountains shake, so what about the comprehending, understanding hearts? When the Qur'an promises, it opens the hearts and the ears, making them eager to attain the abode of peace - Paradise - and to be the neighbors of the Throne of the Most Beneficent. For instance, on the subject of promises and encouragement, the Qur'an said,
      فَلَا تَعْلَمُ نَفْسٌ مَّا أُخْفِيَ لَهُم مِّن قُرَّةِ أَعْيُنٍ جَزَاءً بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
(No person knows what is kept hidden for them of joy as a reward for what they used to do) (32:17), and,
      وَفِيهَا مَا تَشْتَهِيهِ الْأَنفُسُ وَتَلَذُّ الْأَعْيُنُ ۖ وَأَنتُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ
((There will be) therein all that inner selves could desire, and all that eyes could delight in and you will abide therein forever) (43:71).
      On the subject of warning and discouragement;
      أَفَأَمِنتُمْ أَن يَخْسِفَ بِكُمْ جَانِبَ الْبَرِّ
(Do you then feel secure that He will not cause a side of the land to swallow you up) (17:68), and,
(Do you feel secure that He, Who is over the heaven (Allah), will not cause the earth to sink with you, and then it should quake? Or do you feel secure that He, Who is over the heaven (Allah), will not send against you a violent whirlwind? Then you shall know how (terrible) has been My warning) (67:16-17).
On the subject of threats, the Qur'an said,
      فَكُلًّا أَخَذْنَا بِذَنبِهِ
(So We punished each (of them) for his sins) (29:40). Also, on the subject of soft advice, the Qur'an said,
(Tell Me, (even) if We do let them enjoy for years. And afterwards comes to them that (punishment) which they had been promised. All that with which they used to enjoy shall not avail them) (26:205-207).
There are many other examples of the eloquence, beauty, and benefits of the Qur'an.
When the Qur'an is discussing Laws, commandments and prohibitions, it commands every type of righteous, good, pleasing and beneficial act. It also forbids every type of evil, disliked and amoral act. Ibn Mas'ud and other scholars of the Salaf said, "When you hear what Allah said in the Qur'an, such as,
      يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا
(O you who believe!), then listen with full attention, for it either contains a type of righteousness that Allah is enjoining, or an evil that He is forbidding." For instance, Allah said,
(He (Muhammad ﷺ) commands them for Al-Ma'ruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam has ordained); and forbids them from Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief, polytheism of all kinds, and all that Islam has forbidden); he allows them as lawful At-Tayyibat(i.e. all good and lawful things), and prohibits them as unlawful Al-Khaba'ith (i.e. all evil and unlawful things), he releases them from their heavy burdens and from the fetters (bindings) that were upon them) (7:157).
When the Ayat mention Resurrection and the horrors that will occur on that Day, and Paradise and the Fire and the joys and safe refuge that Allah prepared for His loyal friends, or torment and Hell for His enemies, these Ayat contain glad tidings or warnings. The Ayat then call to perform good deeds and avoid evil deeds, making the life of this world less favorable and the Hereafter more favorable. They also establish the correct methods and guide to Allah's straight path and just legislation, all the while ridding the hearts of the evil of the cursed devil.
      • The Qur'an is the Greatest Miracle given to the Prophet (ﷺ)
The Two Sahihs record that Abu Hurayrah said that the Prophet ﷺ said,
(Every Prophet was given a miracle, the type of which brings mankind to faith. What I was given is a revelation that Allah sent down to me. Yet, I hope that I will have the most following on the Day of Resurrection.)
This is the wording narrated by Muslim. The Prophet ﷺ stated that among the Prophets he was given a revelation, meaning, he was especially entrusted with the miraculous Qur'an that challenged mankind to produce something similar to it. As for the rest of the divinely revealed Books, they were not miraculous according to many scholars. Allah knows best. The Prophet ﷺ was also aided with innumerable signs and indications that testify to the truth of his prophethood and what he was sent with, all thanks and praise is due to Allah.
      • Meaning of 'Stones'
      Allah said,
      فَاتَّقُوا النَّارَ الَّتِي وَقُودُهَا النَّاسُ وَالْحِجَارَةُ ۖ أُعِدَّتْ لِلْكَافِرِينَ
(Then fear the Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers) (2:24).
Fuel' is wood, or similar substances, used to start and feed a fire. Similarly, Allah said,
      وَأَمَّا الْقَاسِطُونَ فَكَانُوا لِجَهَنَّمَ حَطَبًا
(And as for the Qasitun (disbelievers who deviated from the right path), they shall be firewood for Hell) (72:15), and,
(Certainly you (disbelievers) and that which you are worshipping now besides Allah, are (but) fuel for Hell! (Surely) you enter it. Had these (idols) been alihah (gods), they would not have entered there (Hell), and all of them will abide therein) (21:98-99).
The stones mentioned here are the giant, rotten, black, sulfuric stones that become the hottest when heated, may Allah save us from this evil end. It was also reported that the stones mentioned here are the idols and rivals that were worshipped instead of Allah, just as Allah said,
      إِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ حَصَبُ جَهَنَّمَ
(Certainly you (disbelievers) and that which you are worshipping now besides Allah, are (but) fuel for Hell!) (21:98).
      Allah's statement,
      أُعِدَّتْ لِلْكَافِرِينَ
      (prepared for the disbelievers)
It appears most obvious that it refers to the Fire that is fueled by men and stones, and it also may refer to the stones themselves. There is no contradiction between these two views, because they are dependent upon each other. 'Prepared' means, it is 'kept' and will surely touch those who disbelieve in Allah and His Messenger ﷺ. Ibn Ishaq narrated that Muhammad said that 'Ikrimah or Sa'id bin Jubayr said that Ibn 'Abbas said,
      أُعِدَّتْ لِلْكَافِرِينَ
      (prepared for the disbelievers),
"For those who embrace the disbelief that you (disbelievers) have embraced."
      • Jahannam (Hellfire) exists now
Many of the Imams of the Sunnah used this Ayah to prove that the Fire exists now. This is because Allah said,
      أُعِدَّتْ
(prepared) meaning, prepared and kept. There are many Hadiths on this subject. For instance, the
      Prophet ﷺ said,
      تَحَاجَّتِ الْجَنَّةُ وَالنَّارُ
(Paradise and the Fire had an argument..) ...more

It starts from Allah or God choosing a person who doesn't know how to read and write for giving him a complicated document for the whole of humanity.
It continues in the rather completely opposite and contradictory philosophy between what Muhammad preached in Mecca and Medina. It's as if there was Jekyll and Hyde characters. Or maybe they were twin brothers. Or perhaps as Dr Jay claims.... Muhammad is a man made fictional character.

@ FACT: JAY SMITH RUNS AWAY FROM DEBATE CHALLENGES
Two Sundays ago, prominent Muslim debaters, Br. Zakir Hussain and Br. Ayaz Uddin, met Jay Smith at Hyde Park and challenged him to two debates. Smith refused to debate on the topic whether Jesus is God or not, his reasoning as he states is that it’s clearly obvious and thus not debatable. Well, can’t Brs. Zakir and Ayaz reply the same, that the Prophet’s prophethood is obvious and thus, not debatable?
I find it very odd, that Jay Smith, religiously goes to Hyde Park to debate about Islam & Christianity, and when challenged with an actual debate, he refuses to do so. What is the point of screaming at people every Sunday, and boasting about your debate skills, if you’re refusing to debate on a stage, for a scheduled and moderated debate?

@ FACT: JAY SMITH’S RUNNING SCARED AFTER UNFORESEEN DISASTER
Jay Smith’s claims during his debate with Dr. Shabir about the Qur’an have seemed to cause more trouble than he initially thought they would. See, during the debate, he claimed to have introduced new research by a colleague of his, Dan Brubaker, based on Dan’s thesis on changes in the (manuscripts of the) Qur’an. Jay had stated that Dan’s thesis would not be published until next year and so Muslims would not have been aware of its contents. However, the University that Dan Brubaker submitted his thesis through, Rice University, made his thesis available publicly. Jay, nor Dan seemed to have known this, which is why Jay assumed Muslims would have to wait one full year before they would be able to read Dan’s thesis and respond to the claims in it. Which also meant Muslims would have to wait one full year to respond to Jay’s claims based on Dan’s thesis which he made during the debate.
Unfortunately for both Dan and Jay, we got our hands on the thesis quite some time ago and already picked it apart. So when Jay was on the stage during his debate with Dr. Shabir, and he assumed that Muslims would have no idea of what he was saying or what the thesis contained, he made some pretty silly claims to bolster his bravado. Jay has now run into a major problem. After I posted that we had possession of Dan’s thesis and proved this with the thesis’ cover image, the University removed the thesis and it is no longer available. So we have a few questions that need to be answered:
      1. Why was the thesis removed after my article was published?
      2. Did Jay ask Dan to ask the University to remove it?
      3. Why would Dan suddenly request for the University to remove the thesis?
      4. Dan did not request the University to remove the thesis after the debate, so why the day after my article?
      5. Did Dan give Jay the entire thesis or just a few photos?
      6. If Dan did give Jay the entire thesis, why did Jay only claim to have taken a few photos?
      7. If Jay did read Dan’s thesis, is he aware that he openly contradicts what Dan states?
      8. Is Dan aware that Jay claimed things of Dan’s thesis that do not exist within it?
      9. Why has the University removed the thesis?
      10. Who requested the thesis be removed?
For those who’d like to see where Dan’s thesis was once available and now is miraculously removed from the University’s page, please see our Brother Ahmed’s accessing of it:

This article has been sent to Jay Smith. Will he respond to the questions, or does he realise he’s in a bit of a conundrum? Has Jay been put in an awkward position? Its sudden removal is quite telling. Jay does have reason to be concerned, why else would it be removed? Why else would Jay have Dan request the University to remove it? Jay knows that he’s screwed up big time and the fun is only just starting!

@ FACT: A CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF JAY SMITH'S [PfanderFilms] MISTAKES ABOUT THE QUR'AN
      • Analysis Of Jay Smith’s Allegations About The Qur’an
      MISTAKE #1:
“One of the problem’s that we’ve had is that we’ve not really been able to look at the Qur’an.” - 18:22.
At the very beginning of his presentation, Jay Smith attempts to falsely establish a conspiratorial narrative in which he claims that the Islamic world has been trying to prevent academic research of the Qur’an’s extant4 manuscripts. This however, cannot be more than furthest from the truth. It is universally known that the greatest Orientalist attempt at studying the Qur’anic manuscripts was undertaken by the Germans in the 20th century in which 15, 000+ photographs were taken of Qur’anic manuscripts located worldwide, unimpeded by the Muslim world. Consequent to this, the infamous history of the hiding of these photographs by Orientalists themselves, is recorded as follows:
“As a preliminary result there was finally gathered a comprehensible mass of material stored with Bergstrasser in Munich, not the least a collection of about 15,000 photographs of folios of very old Koran codices from all over the world. As the one who inherited the task of continuing after World War 2 the work of his teacher Bergstrasser (d. 1933) and of Arthur Jeffery, and meanwhile as the successor to the chair of Bergstrasser in Munich, Spitaler spread the rumor that these materials had perished in the bomb attacks on Munich in the last months of World War 2. Still further, in a note from 1972 in a publication of his (see Rudi Paret [ed.], Der Koran, Darmstadt 1975, p.413) Spitaler fostered this rumor. But now in the ending 1990s it comes out that he was in possession of these approximately 15,000 photographs all the time since 1945, obviously to keep everybody else aloof from them in order to reserve exclusively to himself the right and possibility of exploiting them in the hope of producing something outstanding in Koran scholarship - what in the end he was obviously incapable of achieving. Such behaviour is well known in the history of scholarship as characteristic of mediocre scholars who never develop a sense of unselfish scholarship as mere search for truth but are oriented solely on their own personal career and questionable fame.” - “A Challenge to Islam for Reformation by Gunter Luling, Preface, XXI.”
At this point, the quote that Jay uses at the timestamp of 18:29 is from Shaykh Muhammad Mustafa al-’Azami’s, “The History of the Qur’an: From Revelation to Compilation”, p. 315. As will become quite apparent, Jay’s modus operandi from this point onward is to mention the name of an author and to provide some apparent information4 based on these author’s works5, which when examined in relation to what he has claimed, there appears to be a consistent pattern of inventing conclusions, misrepresenting the research done or by manufacturing information outright.
      4. While making his claims, Jay presents a bundle of papers grasped in his hands in which he states that the information from the authors he is appealing to, is contained within that bundle. However, not once does he give a citation from that bundle of papers. What is perplexing is that he ad libs his way through most of his presentation and never references a single quote from that bundle of papers. If anyone can provide an instance in which he cites a book by Dr. Deroche and gives a page number, I’ll be amazed. He attempts to convince the crowd that he has done his research by waving this bundle of papers around, but surprisingly he can’t give a single complete book, journal or thesis reference!
      5. The literature of the authors he mentions by name, patently disagrees with his claims. One has to ask, has he actually read these works or not?
      MISTAKE #2:
“Now up till a few years ago there was not much we could do about this claim, there was not much we Christians could do or anybody else because we were not given access to these manuscripts. We could go to the Topkapi Manuscripts, which is the one there in Istanbul, the one which most Muslims would look at as their standard. We couldn’t go to the Samarkand which was in Tashkent, we couldn’t go to the Husseini Manuscripts which was in Cairo.” - 19:48.
I (the author) am quite surprised that he claims Christians were not given access to these manuscripts with the exception of up until a few years ago. This is odd, considering that one of the foremost works on the Husseini Manuscripts in which four folios were published was by Bernhard Mortiz in the year 19056. It is perhaps Jay’s intention to bolster the validity of his conspiratorial idea7, by claiming that Christians were denied access to the Cairo manuscripts for religious purposes. He fails to mention however, that the restriction was due to a major political fallout8 in the years following the British Occupation of Egypt from 1882 to 1953.
His claims about the manuscripts from Samarqand are perhaps even more deceitful. The Samarqand manuscripts were studied extensively in Russia, not Uzbekistan, but in the city of St. Petersburg in 1891 by the Russian Orientalist A. Shebunin. The facsimile edition of the manuscripts was published by the Orientalist S. Pissareff in 1905, also from St. Petersburg in Russia. Dr. Saifullah documents9 that many folios from the codex have appeared in various auctions in the Western world. They appeared in America in the 1940’s, and were also auctioned off in London in 1992, 1993 and
      6. See, Bernhard Moritz’s, “Arabic Palaeography: A Collection of Arabic Texts From the First Century of the Hidjra Till the Year 1000”, 1905.
      7. His conspiracy theory, as previously stated is that the Islamic world hid the manuscripts from Christians so that they would not be able to examine them. This despite the Christian-Orientalist world having had access to them and publishing works about those manuscripts, as well as taking photographs of them since the 19th century.
      8. I could be wrong, but according to history, the natives of a militarily occupied nation may not necessarily be enthusiastic to cooperate with their colonial masters. If Jay is willing to explain how the British military occupation of Egypt did not contribute to the lack of cooperation between the native Egyptians and their colonial occupiers, I’d be willing to give him the time he needs to justify his reasoning, however long or impossible that may be.
      9. See, Dr. Saifullah’s history of the manuscript with full citations in his article, “The Qur’an of ‘Uthman at Tashkent (Samarqand)”.
      MISTAKE #3:
“It is those 6 manuscripts that I’m going to zero in on, it is those manuscripts that we’ve finally, finally had Muslims look at.” - 20:46.
Does he mean the extensive codifying/ cataloguing of them which has already been done for some time now, or does he mean the studying and examining of them? It’s obvious the former was done, otherwise how were the other books in Mistake #2 compiled? If he means the latter, then that already has been done for quite some time by Muslim scholars. One such work is Mu’gam al-Qira’at al-Qur’anniya by Ahmad Muhtar Umar and Abd al - al Salim Mukarram which has gone through two editions in Kuwait and at least one printing in Iran. There was also Mu’gam al - Qira’at by Abd al Latif Muhammad Hatib published in Syria10.
Jay then proceeds to refer to Dr. Tayyar Altıkulaç and Dr. Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu whom he mentions here but never references once during his entire opening statement. We must ask if he has ever read any of their works or is he simply mentioning their names as an appeal to authority11, he also foregoes another scholar’s work published since 197212.
      1. See, Arabica 57 (2010), p. 415 for more information and full citations as provided by Dr. Sadeghi. It’s interesting that Smith appeals to Dr. Sadeghi later in the debate, he even mentions that he’s read Dr. Sadeghi’s works. If he has indeed read Dr. Sadeghi’s published works, how can he possibly not know of the studies done by Muslim scholars on those manuscript collections which Dr. Sadeghi references and mentions by name numerous times in his journal publication?
      2. Jay Smith frequently mentions the names of these two Muslim Turkish scholars, but not once does he quote them or give a single citation from them. There is one point later in the debate in which he references the number 93 from Dr. Deroche’s work but gives his own analysis and draws his own conclusions, which contradicts Dr. Deroche’s own conclusions.
      3. See, S. al-Munajjid’s, “Dirasat fi Tareekh al-Khatt al-’Arabi Mundhu Bidayatihi ila Nihayat al-’Asr al-Umawi”, 1972.

Question: 'Why Muslims Are Rising Fastest And The Unaffiliated Are Shrinking As A Share Of The World’s Population?' Here:
By Olivia Rudgard, religious affairs correspondent
      1 MARCH 2017 • 5:44PM
ISLAM is the only religion that is growing faster than the world's population, and it will be the largest in the world by 2070, research has found.
US-based Pew Research Centre analysed demographic change among the world's major religions and found that the world's population of Muslims will grow by 73 per cent between 2010 and 2050, compared to 35 per cent for Christians, the next fastest-growing faith.
The world's population will grow by 37 per cent over the same period. If those rates of growth continue past 2050, Muslims will outnumber Christians by 2070, the report found.
It also says that Muslims will make up 10 per cent of Europe's population.
In 2010 there were 1.6bn Muslims in the world, and 2.17bn Christians. By 2050, there will be 2.76bn Muslims and 2.92bn Christians - and if both religions continue at that rate of growth, Islam will have a larger number of followers than Christianity by 2070.
Atheists, agnostics and non-religious people will decline from 16.4 per cent of the world's population to 13.2 per cent by 2050, the report added, despite growing in Europe and North America.
The changes are partly due to the various fertility rates each religion has. Muslims have the highest, at 3.1 children per woman, followed by Christians, at 2.7.
Islam also has a much younger follower-base than other religions, meaning believers still have childbearing years ahead. 34 per cent are aged under 15, compared to a global average of 27 per cent.
Christianity is also likely to suffer as more converts leave to become non-religious or to join other faiths, the report predicted.
Around 40 million people are projected to switch into Christianity globally, while 106 million are predicted to leave.
"Majorities in Hungary, Italy, Poland and Greece say they view Muslims unfavorably, while negative attitudes toward Muslims are much less common in France, Germany, the United Kingdom and elsewhere in Northern and Western Europe.
"People who place themselves on the Right side of the ideological scale are much more likely than those on the Left to see Muslims negatively," it said.
      Fact: If Current Trends Continue, By 2050...;
      • The number of Muslims will nearly equal the number of Christians around the world.
      • Atheists, agnostics and other people who do not affiliate with any religion - though increasing in countries such as the United States and France - will make up a declining share of the world’s total population.
      • The global Buddhist population will be about the same size it was in 2010, while the Hindu and Jewish populations will be larger than they are today.
      • In Europe, Muslims will make up 10% of the overall population.
      • India will retain a Hindu majority but also will have the largest Muslim population of any country in the world, surpassing Indonesia.
      • In the United States, Christians will decline from more than three-quarters of the population in 2010 to two-thirds in 2050, and Judaism will no longer be the largest non-Christian religion. Muslims will be more numerous in the U.S. than people who identify as Jewish on the basis of religion.
      • Four out of every 10 Christians in the world will live in sub-Saharan Africa.
      [AND THIS]:
FACT: REPORT - ISLAM POISED TO OVERTAKE CHRISTIANITY IN THE U.K.
      MAR 23, 2018 12:20 PM BY CHRISTINE DOUGLASS-WILLIAMS
See what say SIR GEORGE BERNARD SHAW in ‘The Genuine Islam`, vol. 1 no. 8, 1936 says:
“If Any Religion Had The Chance Of Ruling Over England, Nay Europe Within The Next 100 Years, It Could Be Islam.”
"New research has revealed that a majority of young people in a dozen countries of Europe do not follow a religion…Young Muslims, at 6 per cent of the overall population in UK, are on the brink of overtaking those who consider themselves part of the country’s established church"
This news should come as no surprise. The trend likely holds true for most of Europe as well, given the hijrah, as well as the glorification of Islam as the only religion that must not be criticized. The clueless leaders of the UK (and most of Europe) have welcomed in huge numbers of unvetted Muslim migrants from the Middle East and North Africa. Add to this, the allowance of Muslim Brotherhood groups to proliferate, and it is no wonder that Christianity is in decline. Soon open Christian persecution will follow, as Islamization advances. Already, a surge in violent Muslim anti-Semitism is driving Jews out of France in record numbers, and is also an rising problem in Germany.
“Islam poised to over take established Christianity in UK: report,” Express Tribune, March 21, 2018:
"New research has revealed that a majority of young people in a dozen countries of Europe do not follow a religion," The Guardian reports.
Young Muslims, at 6 per cent of the overall population in UK, are on the brink of overtaking those who consider themselves part of the country’s established church, the report in the British paper has highlighted.
According to the findings of a survey, conducted on 16- to 29-year-olds, it was discovered that the Czech Republic is the least religious country in Europe, with 91 per cent of people in the defined age group saying they have no religious affiliation.
Between 70 per cent and 80 per cent of young adults in Estonia, Sweden and the Netherlands also categorise themselves as non-religious, the results indicate.
The most religious country, identified in the study, is Poland, where 17 per cent of young adults define themselves as non-religious, followed by Lithuania with 25 per cent.
In the United Kingdom, only 7 per cent of young adults identify as Christian Anglican, fewer than the 10 per cent who categorise themselves as Christian Catholic.
Young Muslims, at 6 per cent, are on the brink of overtaking those who consider themselves part of the country’s established church, the report has said…

      @ FACT: TOWARDS UNDERSTANDING THE QUR'AN - 1:2
"[All] praise(2) is [due] to Allah , Lord(3) of the worlds."
      [Noble Qur'an, Surah Al-Fatihah 1:2]
      • Comprehension:
(2). As we have already explained, the character of this surah is that of a prayer. The prayer begins with praise of the One to whom our prayer is addressed. This indicates that whenever one prays one ought to pray in a dignified manner. It does not become a cultivated person to blurt out his petition. Refinement demands that our requests should be preceded by a wholehearted acknowledgement of the unique position, infinite benevolence and unmatched excellence of the One to Whom we pray. Whenever we praise someone, we do so for two reasons. First, because excellence calls for praise, irrespective of whether that excellence has any direct relevance to us or not. Second, we praise one who, we consider to be our benefactor; when this is the case our praise arises from a deep feeling of gratitude. God is worthy of praise on both counts. It is incumbent on us to praise Him not only in recognition of His infinite excellence but also because of our feeling of gratitude to Him, arising from our awareness of the blessings He has lavished upon us. It is important to note that what is said here is not merely that praise be to God, but that all praise be to God alone. Whenever there is any beauty, any excellence, any perfection-in whatever thing or in whatever shape it may manifest itself- its ultimate source is none other than God Himself. No human beings, angels, Demigods, heavenly bodies-in short, no created beings-are possessed of an innate excellence; where excellence exists, it is a gift from God. Thus, if there is anyone at all whom we ought to adore and worship, to whom we ought to feel indebted and grateful, towards whom we should remain humble and obedient, it is the creator of excellence, rather than its possessor.
(3). In Arabic the word Rabb has three meanings: (i) Lord and Master; (ii) Sustainer, Provider, Supporter, Nourisher and Guardian, and (iii) Sovereign, Ruler, He Who controls and directs. God is the Rabb of the universe in all three meanings of the term.

How about proving and refuting this brilliant '2 in 1' question:
O you Christ-Worshippers! What are you really trying to do with Jesus actually?
Q1 @ FACT: IS JESUS GOD, THE CREATOR, THE FORGIVER, ETC?
      Q2 @ FACT: CRUCIFIXION OR CRUCI-FICTION?

Here! Is there any single Christian in here or out there who really, truly can afford to prove (the Q1) and refute (the Q2) confidently and evidently the 'Q1 @ FACT: IS JESUS GOD, THE CREATOR, THE FORGIVER, ETC. & Q2 @ FACT: CRUCIFIXION OR CRUCI-FICTION?' with ‘fact-proof and evidence?
      • Prove This:

Q1 @ FACT: IS JESUS GOD, THE CREATOR, THE FORGIVER, ETC?
This is a question for any real true so-called 'God' to answer. For your knowledge there is the 'one and only' real true 'God' the Creator Who could simply afford to answer completely all this '2 in 1' question. Shall be revealed evidently later.
Well then; let's see how your Christian version's man-made god by the name of Jesus will answer this God's simple question as per the Bible.
Here! Where (show us Muslims, by at least one single (just one) unequivocal or unambiguous statement in/from any version of your Christian's Bibles of your choice) does Jesus himself clearly, explicitly and truly say/admit/claim, as such as:
      1. "I'm God?"
      or,
      2. "Worship Me?"
      or,
      3. "I'm the Creator?"
      or,
      4. "I’m the Forgiver?"
      Let's hear it.
Note: 'Fact, proof and evidence' is all it takes.
      • And Refute This:
      Q2 @ FACT: CRUCIFIXION OR CRUCI-FICTION?
Can any of you Christians imagine how would/could 'God Al-Mighty' just ignore and simply let one of His mightiest prophets and messengers getting into this kind of 'vicious torture to death' called crucifixion?
      Here!
Indeed Jesus, the son of man (Mary); was not arrested, was not put on the cross, was not 'crucified', and was not killed by the Roman soldiers. He was also not buried and was not resurrected (raised back from the grave), but someone else who had really been crucified to death. That's all fact! So how?
The question that may arise is:
Q: Was the so-called 'crucifixion' really take place?
      A: Absolutely!
Q: [If it was not really Jesus...] Then; who was the man on the wooden cross?
A: It's believed, confirmed and said that the man was one of the Jesus' disciples, who was then; turned to be a traitor to Jesus.
Q: Who was the man’s name?
A: He was known as J.... I……. (shall be revealed later).
      Well then; let's hear it.
Note: 'Fact-proof and evidence' is all it takes.

      MuftiPhil2:10
@ FACT: IS JESUS THE WAY AND THE TRUTH
Jesus as well as the prophets and scriptures of God are the way
      Is Jesus the Way?
In the New Testament, Jesus is described as the “Way”. We read: “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life.’” (John 14:6)
In fact, there is nothing wrong with this description of Jesus if it is put in the right context in which it is read in the New Testament and as said by Jesus himself.
The New Testament teaches us the meaning of Jesus’ description as the “Way”. It means that Jesus was the teacher who taught people the way to God. This description is repeated in this context more than once in the New Testament.
We read: “Then the Pharisees went out and laid plans to trap him in his words. They sent their disciples to him along with the Herodians. ‘Teacher,’ they said, ‘we know that you are a man of integrity and that you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. You aren’t swayed by others, because you pay no attention to who they are.’” (Matthew 22:15-16)
We also read: “Thomas said to him, ‘Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?’ Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’” (John 14:5-6)
We further read: “And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Highest; for you will go before the face of the Lord to prepare His ways, to give knowledge of salvation to His people by the remission of their sins” (Luke 1:76-77)
In fact, all prophets and messengers of God as well as the holy scriptures sent down to them can be described as the “way” for they guide people to the way of God. In the Qur’an, God describes the Qur’an as “guiding to the truth and a straight way”.
      In the Qur’an, we read:
And [mention, O Muhammad], when We directed to you a few of the jinn, listening to the Qur’an. And when they attended it, they said, “Listen quietly.” And when it was concluded, they went back to their people as warners. They said, “O our people, indeed we have heard a [recited] Book revealed after Moses confirming what was before it which guides to the truth and to a straight way. (Al-Ahqaf 46:29-30)
      Is Jesus the Truth?
In the New Testament, Jesus is described as the “Truth”. We read: “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life.’” (John 14:6)
In fact, God only can be the “Truth”. The “Truth” and the “True” are such attributes of God which cannot be given to anyone else except metaphorically rather than literally.
In the Old Testament, we read: “Into Your hand I commit my spirit; You have ransomed me, O LORD, God of truth.” (Psalm 31:5)
We also read: “Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of truth. Blessed are all who wait for him!” (Isaiah 30:18)
Jesus himself made clear that it is God who is “True” and that he is a messenger from God the “True”. We read: “Then Jesus, still teaching in the temple courts, cried out, “Yes, you know me, and you know where I am from. I am not here on my own authority, but he who sent me is true. You do not know him.” (John 7:28)
We also read: “I have much to say about you and much to judge, but he who sent me is true, and I declare to the world what I have heard from him.” (John 8:26)
Jesus himself indicated that he came to testify for God and His Oneness. We read: “’You are a king, then!’ said Pilate. Jesus answered, ‘You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.’” (John 18:37)
Therefore, Jesus is not the “Truth” literally but metaphorically. His description as the “Truth” means that he was the teacher who taught people the way to God with the truth.
Jesus’ description as the “Truth” in the New Testament also means that he said only the truth as he came for the confirmation of the commandments Moses came out with. He called for the oneness and love of God. Jewish rabbis approved such teachings. We read:
One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?” “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” “Well said, teacher,” the man replied. “You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.” When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions. (Mark 12:28-34)
When the Jews wanted to kill Jesus, he pointed out that he had been a human being who had told the truth which he had heard from God. He said: “As it is, you are looking for a way to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham did not do such things.” (John 8:40)

      @ FACT: TOWARDS UNDERSTANDING THE QUR'AN - 17:1

"Exalted is He who took His Servant (the prophet Muhammad) by night from al-Masjid al-haram (in Mecca) to al-Masjid al- Aqsa (in Jerusalem), whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs(1). Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing."
      [Noble Qur'an, Surah Al-Isra 17:1]
      • Comprehension:
(1). The event referred to in this verse is known Miraj and Isra. According to authentic traditions, this took place a year before Hijrah. In the traditional and biographical literature, its details have been related by a large number (25) of the companions. Anas bin Malik, Malik bin Saasaah, Abuzar Ghifari, and Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with them all) have related details of the event. Besides them, Umar, Ali, Abdullah bin Masud (Allah be pleased with them) have also related some parts of this event.
In this verse, the Quran mentions only a part of the Journey, i.e. from Masjid-i-Haram to the Temple at Jerusalem. The object of this journey as stated here was that Allah willed to show His servant some of His signs. The Quran does not give any details other than this but we find further details in the traditions, which are to this effect:
One night the Angel Jibril took the Prophet (peace be upon him) on al-Buraq from Masjid-i-Haram to Masjid-i-Aqsa (the Temple). There the Prophet (peace be upon him) offered his prayers along with the other Prophets. Then he took him towards the higher spheres, where he met some of the great Prophets in different spheres. At last he reached the Highest Place in the Heavens, and was received in audience by Allah. It was there that, besides other important instructions, five daily Prayers were prescribed. Then he returned to the Temple and from there came back to Masjid-i-Haram. During this Journey, according to many traditions, Paradise and Hell were shown to him. We also learn from authentic traditions that on the following day when he mentioned this event, the disbelievers of Makkah scoffed at him, and some of the Muslims also were skeptical about this.
The above additional details based on the traditions cannot be said to be against the Quran, for these are additions to the details given in the Quran; therefore, the details related in the traditions cannot be rejected on the plea that they are against the Quran. Nevertheless, if one rejects any part of those details which are given in the traditions, one cannot be declared a renegade. On the other hand, if one rejects the details given in the Quran, one does become a renegade.
There are different versions of this journey. Some say that this happened in a dream, while others are of the opinion that the Prophet (peace be upon him) was fully awake and went on the journey with his own physical body. Some others say that it was merely a mystic vision which was shown to him. The opening words of this verse: “Glorified be He who took for a journey His servant” however, clearly show that it was a supernatural event which was brought about by the unlimited power of Allah. It is quite obvious that if the event had been merely a mystic vision, it would not have been introduced by the words which imply that the Being Who brought about this event is free from each and every kind of weakness and defect. Again the words “took His servant by night” also show that this was not a dream or a vision but a physical journey in which Allah arranged that the Prophet (peace be upon him) should make observation of His signs with his physical eyes. Therefore, one is bound to admit that this was not a mere spiritual experience but a physical journey and visual observation which Allah arranged for His Prophet (peace be upon him).
It is strange that some people are of the opinion that this extraordinary journey could not be possible, but now when man with his very limited power has been able to reach the moon, it is absurd to deny that Allah with His limitless power could enable His Messenger (peace be upon him) to make this journey in the extraordinary short time it took.
Above all, the question whether a thing is possible or not, can arise only in the case of human beings whose powers are after all limited, but such questions cannot be raised where the All-Powerful Allah is concerned. Only such a person who does not believe that Allah is able to do everything can raise objections against this wonderful journey about which Allah Himself says that He took His servant one night from Masjid-i-Haram to Masjid-i-Aqsa. Likewise all the objections raised against the various details which are given in the traditions are frivolous, except two, which are plausible:
First, if we accept these details, then we shall have to admit that Allah is confined to a certain place: otherwise there was no need that His servant should be taken for this purpose to a certain place. Secondly, according to traditions, the Prophet (peace be upon him) was enabled to observe Paradise and Hell where he saw some people suffering from torment. The objection is: why should some people be awarded punishments or rewards before the final judgment after Resurrection?
As regards to the first objection, it is true that Allah is Infinite by Himself, but in dealing with His creation, He employs those means which suit His creation not because of any limitation of His, but because of the limitations of His creation. For instance, when He speaks to any of His creature, He adopts the same limited mode of conversation as the addressee can understand, though He has limitless modes of speech. Likewise, when He desires to show some of the wonderful signs of His kingdom to a servant. He takes him to the place where the signs are to be shown. It is obvious that the servant cannot see at one and the same time the entire universe as Allah does, for Allah has no need to go to any place at all for this purpose but the servant has. The same applies to the appearance of the servant before the Creator. Though Allah is not confined to any locality, it is necessary for the servant to go to the place where His manifestations have been concentrated for his observation because it is not possible for the servant with his limited powers to go in His Presence in His Infinite capacity.
As regards to the second objection, it is based on the lack of understanding the thing: many of the signs which were shown to the Prophet (peace be upon him) were symbolic. For instance, a small hole from which a fat ox came out but could not go back into it, represented mischief personified. In the same way the adulterers were shown as if they had fresh meat before them but instead of that they were eating rotten flesh. Similarly punishments for evil deeds shown to him were only symbolic observations of the punishments in the Hereafter so that he might see in advance the things which would take place in the Hereafter.
In regard to the Miraj it should be kept in view that all the Prophets were enabled by Allah to see His signs in the heavens and the earth according to their ranks. And for this purpose all the material curtains were lifted so that they could see with their naked eyes the unseen realities, to which they were required to invite the people.
This was done so that the Prophets could say with full conviction what they had seen with their own eyes. For this experience would distinguish them from a philosopher who bases all his theories on guesswork and cannot say that he bears witness to what he claims. In contrast to philosophers, Prophets could say that they bore witness to the things which they presented because they had seen them with their own eyes.
      Allah (The All-knowing) knows best!

Allah says to His Messenger , encouraging him to convey the Message and informing him that He is protecting him from the people, that He is able to deal with them and that they are in His grasp and under His domination and control.
      ﴿وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لَكَ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ أَحَاطَ بِالنَّاسِ﴾
(And (remember) when We told you: "Verily, your Lord has encompassed mankind..'') Mujahid, `Urwah bin Az-Az-Zubayr, Al-Hasan, Qatadah and others said, "This means, He protected you from them.''

(And We made not the vision which We showed you but a trial for mankind,) Al-Bukhari recorded that Ibn `Abbas said:
      ﴿وَمَا جَعَلْنَا الرُّءْيَا الَّتِى أَرَيْنَـكَ إِلاَّ فِتْنَةً لِّلنَّاسِ﴾
(And We made not the vision which We showed you but a trial for mankind,) "This is the vision which the Messenger of Allah saw with his own eyes on the night when he was taken on the Night Journey (Al-Isra').
      ﴿وَالشَّجَرَةَ الْمَلْعُونَةَ فِى القُرْءَانِ﴾
and (likewise) the accursed tree in the Qur an. refers to the Tree of Zaqqum.'' This was also recorded by Ahmad, `Abdur-Razzaq and others. It was also reported by Al-`Awfi from Ibn `Abbas. It was also interpreted as referring to the Night of the Isra' by Mujahid, Sa`id bin Jubayr, Al-Hasan, Masruq, Ibrahim, Qatadah, `Abdur-Rahman bin Zayd and several others. We have already quoted at length a comprehensive collection of Hadith about the Isra' at the beginning of this Surah, praise be to Allah. We have also already stated that some people gave up their Islam after they had been following the truth, because their hearts and minds could not comprehend that, and they denied what their knowledge could not grasp, but Allah caused it to increase and strengthen the faith of others, and so He says:
      ﴿إِلاَّ فِتْنَةً﴾
(but a trial), meaning a test. As for the cursed tree, this is the Tree of Zaqqum. When the Messenger of Allah told them that he had seen Paradise and Hell, and seen the Tree of Zaqqum, they did not believe that, and Abu Jahl, upon whom be the curses of Allah, even said, "Bring us some dates and butter,'' and he started eating them and saying, "Let us have some Zaqqum, we don't know any other Zaqqum but this.''
This was narrated by Ibn `Abbas, Masruq, Abu Malik, Al-Hasan Al-Basri and others. Everyone who interpreted the Ayah to refer to the Night of the Isra', also interpreted it to refer to the Tree of Zaqqum.
      ﴿وَنُخَوِّفُهُمْ﴾
(﴿We﴾ make them afraid) meaning, `We make the disbelievers afraid with Our warnings and punishments and torment.'
      ﴿فَمَا يَزِيدُهُمْ إِلاَّ طُغْيَانًا كَبِيرًا﴾
(but it only increases them in naught save great disbelief, oppression and disobedience to Allah.) means, it only pushes them further into their disbelief and misguidance, and this is because Allah has forsaken them.

Gabriel asked for the gate to be opened. It was asked, 'Who is it?' Gabriel answered, 'Gabriel.' It was asked, 'Who is accompanying you?' Gabriel replied, 'Muhammad.' It was asked, 'Has he been called?' Gabriel answered in the affirmative. Then it was said, 'He is welcomed. What an excellent visit his is!' The gate was opened.
When I went over the second heaven, there I saw Yahya (i.e. John) and 'Isa (i.e. Jesus) who were cousins of each other. Gabriel said (to me), 'These are John and Jesus; pay them your greetings.' So I greeted them and both of them returned my greetings to me and said, 'You are welcomed, O pious brother and pious Prophet.' Then Gabriel ascended with me to the third heaven and asked for its gate to be opened. It was asked, 'Who is it?' Gabriel replied, 'Gabriel.' It was asked, 'Who is accompanying you?' Gabriel replied, 'Muhammad.' It was asked, 'Has he been called?' Gabriel replied in the affirmative. Then it was said, 'He is welcomed, what an excellent visit his is!' I greeted him and he returned the greeting to me and said, 'You are welcomed, O pious brother and pious Prophet.' Gabriel replied, 'Muhammad.' It was asked, 'Has he been called?' Gabriel replied in the affirmative. It was said, 'He is welcomed. What an excellent visit his is!'

So I greeted him and he returned the greetings to me and said, 'You are welcomed, O pious brother and pious Prophet.' When I left him (i.e. Moses) he wept. Someone asked him, 'What makes you weep?' Moses said, 'I weep because after me there has been sent (as Prophet) a young man whose followers will enter Paradise in greater numbers than my followers.' Then Gabriel ascended with me to the seventh heaven and asked for its gate to be opened. It was asked, 'Who is it?' Gabriel replied, 'Gabriel.' It was asked,' Who is accompanying you?' So I greeted him and he returned the greetings to me and said, 'You are welcomed, O pious son and pious Prophet.' Then I was made to ascend to Sidrat-ul-Muntaha (i.e. the Lote Tree of the utmost boundary) Behold! Its fruits were like the jars of Hajr (i.e. a place near Medina) and its leaves were as big as the ears of elephants. Gabriel said, 'This is the Lote Tree of the utmost boundary) . Behold ! There ran four rivers, two were hidden and two were visible, I asked, 'What are these two kinds of rivers, O Gabriel?' He replied,' As for the hidden rivers, they are two rivers in Paradise and the visible rivers are the Nile and the Euphrates.'
Then Al-Bait-ul-Ma'mur (i.e. the Sacred House) was shown to me and a container full of wine and another full of milk and a third full of honey were brought to me. I took the milk. Gabriel remarked, 'This is the Islamic religion which you and your followers are following.' Then the prayers were enjoined on me: They were fifty prayers a day. When I returned, I passed by Moses who asked (me), 'What have you been ordered to do?' I replied, 'I have been ordered to offer fifty prayers a day.' Moses said, 'Your followers cannot bear fifty prayers a day, and by Allah, I have tested people before you, and I have tried my level best with Bani Israel (in vain). Go back to your Lord and ask for reduction to lessen your followers' burden.' So I went back, and Allah reduced ten prayers for me. Then again I came to Moses, but he repeated the same as he had said before. Then again I went back to Allah and He reduced ten more prayers. When I came back to Moses he said the same, I went back to Allah and He ordered me to observe ten prayers a day. When I came back to Moses, he repeated the same advice, so I went back to Allah and was ordered to observe five prayers a day.
When I came back to Moses, he said, 'What have you been ordered?' I replied, 'I have been ordered to observe five prayers a day.' He said, 'Your followers cannot bear five prayers a day, and no doubt, I have got an experience of the people before you, and I have tried my level best with Bani Israel, so go back to your Lord and ask for reduction to lessen your follower's burden.' I said, 'I have requested so much of my Lord that I feel ashamed, but I am satisfied now and surrender to Allah's Order.' When I left, I heard a voice saying, 'I have passed My Order and have lessened the burden of My Worshippers."

@ FACT: THE 'BURAQ' IS NOT MENTIONED IN THE QUR'AN BUT IT IS MENTIONED IN THE AUTHENTIC HADITH
      • Hadith Bukhari No.429
      Volume: 4
      Book: 54
      Subject: Beginning of Creation
      Narrator: Malik bin Sasaa:
The Prophet said, "While I was at the House in a state midway between sleep and wakefulness, (an angel recognized me) as the man lying between two men. A golden tray full of wisdom and belief was brought to me and my body was cut open from the throat to the lower part of the abdomen and then my abdomen was washed with Zam-zam water and (my heart was) filled with wisdom and belief.”
'Al-Buraq', a white animal, smaller than a mule and bigger than a donkey was brought to me and I set out with Gabriel. When I reached the nearest heaven, Gabriel said to the heaven gate-keeper, 'Open the gate.' The gatekeeper asked, 'Who is it?' He said, 'Gabriel.' The gate-keeper, 'Who is accompanying you?' Gabriel said, 'Muhammad.' The gate-keeper said, 'Has he been called?' Gabriel said, 'Yes.' Then it was said, 'He is welcomed. What a wonderful visit his is!' Then I met Adam and greeted him and he said, 'You are welcomed O son and a Prophet.'
Then we ascended to the second heaven. It was asked, 'Who is it?' Gabriel said, 'Gabriel.' It was said, 'Who is with you?' He said, 'Muhammad' It was asked, 'Has he been sent for?' He said, 'Yes.' It was said, 'He is welcomed. What a wonderful visit his is!" Then I met Isa (Jesus) and Yahaya (John) who said, 'You are welcomed, O brother and a Prophet.'
Then we ascended to the third heaven. It was asked, 'Who is it?' Gabriel said, 'Gabriel.' It was asked, 'Who is with you? Gabriel said, 'Muhammad.' It was asked, 'Has he been sent for?' 'Yes,' said Gabriel. 'He is welcomed. What a wonderful visit his is!' (The Prophet added:). There I met Yusuf (Joseph) and greeted him, and he replied, 'You are welcomed, O brother and a Prophet!'
Then we ascended to the 4th heaven and again the same questions and answers were exchanged as in the previous heavens. There I met Idris (Enoch) and greeted him. He said, 'You are welcomed O brother and Prophet.'
Then we ascended to the 5th heaven and again the same questions and answers were exchanged as in previous heavens. there I met and greeted Harun (Aaron) who said, 'You are welcomed O brother and a Prophet".
Then we ascended to the 6th heaven and again the same questions and answers were exchanged as in the previous heavens. There I met and greeted Musa (Moses) who said, 'You are welcomed O brother and a Prophet.' When I proceeded on, he started weeping and on being asked why he was weeping, he said, 'O Lord! Followers of this youth who was sent after me will enter Paradise in greater number than my followers.'
Then we ascended to the seventh heaven and again the same questions and answers were exchanged as in the previous heavens. There I met and greeted Ibrahim (Abraham) who said, 'You are welcomed o son and a Prophet.' Then I was shown Al-Bait-al-Ma'mur (i.e. Allah's House). I asked Gabriel about it and he said, This is Al Bait-ul-Ma'mur where 70,000 angels perform prayers daily and when they leave they never return to it (but always a fresh batch comes into it daily).'
Then I was shown Sidrat-ul-Muntaha (i.e. a tree in the seventh heaven) and I saw its Nabk fruits which resembled the clay jugs of Hajr (i.e. a town in Arabia), and its leaves were like the ears of elephants, and four rivers originated at its root, two of them were apparent and two were hidden. I asked Gabriel about those rivers and he said, 'The two hidden rivers are in Paradise, and the apparent ones are the Nile and the Euphrates.' Then fifty prayers were enjoined on me.
I descended till I met Musa (Moses) who asked me, 'What have you done?' I said, 'Fifty prayers have been enjoined on me.' He said, 'I know the people better than you, because I had the hardest experience to bring Bani Israel to obedience. Your followers cannot put up with such obligation. So, return to your Lord and request Him (to reduce the number of prayers.' I returned and requested Allah (for reduction) and He made it forty. I returned and (met Moses) and had a similar discussion, and then returned again to Allah for reduction and He made it thirty, then twenty, then ten, and then I came to Moses who repeated the same advice. Ultimately Allah reduced it to five.
When I came to Moses again, he said, 'What have you done?' I said, 'Allah has made it five only.' He repeated the same advice but I said that I surrendered (to Allah's Final Order)'" Allah's Apostle was addressed by Allah, "I have decreed My Obligation and have reduced the burden on My slaves, and I shall reward a single good deed as if it were ten good deeds."

@ FACT: WHAT EVIDENCE IS THERE THAT MUHAMMAD FLEW TO HEAVEN WITH A WINGED HORSE?
      • His description of the voyage is the strongest evidence to the truth of that miraculous flight.
He visited the Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) never visited Jerusalem before. When he described the mosque for his people, who were fighting him, the individuals who visited Jerusalem were shocked with the accuracy of the prophet’s description.
He visited other places during his travel, such as Mount Tor in Sinai, which he never visited before and he described them accurately as well.
On his Mi'raj (flight outside earth) from Jerusalem to the sky, he described lots of things that modern physics scientists can relate and those things were never known then, such as:
      a. The word “Mi’raj” and “Ma’arej” does not mean straightforward lift upward. It is literal meaning is swerving; i.e. moving in curvatures. This very specific information was never known before the prophet. Now, scientists confirm that the universe has curving paths because most-likely it is shaped as a sphere (p.s., the Qur’an and Hadith say that the universe has the shape of a sphere 1400 years ago). Ref.: The Physics of the Universe
      b. If the prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) was making up the story, he would have been expected to say, like all scientists until his era, that as he went up the light increased or have been intensified. Basically, an average man would say that as he would go outside earth, it becomes all morning. Surprisingly, the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) said that as he went outside the earth everything became darker. I.e., it was night. Now, it is proved that as we go outside earth, it is night-like vision. Yes, there is the sun light and light of other state, but this light is not bouncing off because there is no atmosphere. (Remember, this was long, long time ago before Olber’s Paradox: Olbers' Paradox | Astronomy 801: Planets, Stars, Galaxies, and the Universe)
      c. The prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) said that before he started his travel, Archangel Gabriel placed a material in his body (in something like a surgery) - the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) did not name the material, indicating that it is not an earthly material. The prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) pointed out that this material is to enable him get outside the earth. This was on time before humans knew that they cannot go outside earth for reasons of respiration, coldness, harmful rays in the space, etc…
      d. In his travel, the prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) said that earth to the 1st sky (i.e. our universe) is like a speck of a sand to a massively big desert. The same applies to 1st sky to 2nd sky, and so on until you reach the 7th sky. And all the skies compared to the throne of the Lord are like a speck of a sand or a coin compared to a massively big desert. There have been depiction and illustrations of our universe by ancient scientists and they stated that universe is big. But not one scientist did give that image of how tiny and insignificant we are compared to a universe that we cannot measure its end. Ancient scientists either said that universe has no borders/endless or that universe is not legendary big and is confined with borders. Yet, Islamic teachings (Qur’an and Hadith) say that the Universe started with a Bing-Bang and it started expanding. It will keep expanding until it will have to be folded again. So the depiction of the universe in Islam is that universe is legendary big; yet, it has a starting point and logically has a border. This image matches with the scientific findings nowadays. (By the way, this depiction is the logical answer to Olber’s paradox mentioned in point (b) above).
      e. In Islamic teaching, the Buraq (the creature that the prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) used for his ride) is created of light. The same is for the angels. And they went with high speed, where the starting point is their speed of light. Although the travel might seem impossible to those who hate Islam, a flight across universe with a speed that way transcends light speed makes it acceptable to those who study the relativity theory.
      f. Referring to point (d) above, regarding the speck of a sand description, the prophet (Peace Be Upon Him), as revealed to him by God, tells that even beyond the seven skies there are other realms and universes. The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) tells us that the paradise, which is another universe beyond ours, is way bigger than the skies that the skies are insignificantly small compared to that paradise. Scientists, now, who are struggling to develop “Theory Of Everything” say that, in order for their theory to be theoretically logical, they expect to find multiple universes, where our universe is just like an atom compared to those other universes.
      g. The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) used that description many times when he was describing the space: “a coin in a massive desert”. May be he was referring to this: 'Silver Dollar' Galaxy Glistens in New Photo
      4. When the people of Mecca mocked the prophet, he told them that in his way home he helped a caravan that lost one of its camels to find the camel. The prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) described the camel, its decoration, its loads and the way it went. Because the prophet was travelling via an excessive speed, he told them that the place were he helped the tribes is 3 days far from Mecca. Enemies of the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) were excited for the 3 days to pass and prove it is a hoax. After the 3 days pass, a caravan passed by Mecca and Mecca inhabitants rushed to ask them: “Did something happened to you three nights ago?”. The members of the Caravan responded that they lost a camel at one night and heard the voice of a man telling them where the camel went. Kindly note that the enemies of the prophet did not deny the caravan incident, so it is an event that was validated by both the allies and the enemies of Islam.
      5. From physics perspective, by breaking the speed of the light, and going into worlds with other calendars, you can roam the globe and return in few hours. But this information was never known during the era of the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him). If he wanted to add credibility to a story he invented, the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) would have disappeared from his tribe for few days and returned back with a fatigue look. But, guess what? The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him)said that the he went for a travel beyond our boundaries and went through events and meetings that would take long but returned in the same night.
      6. If the reader is a Christian, please read this text from John 3:13:
“No one has ascended into heaven except the one who descended from heaven--the Son of Man”.
The speaker, here, is Jesus (Peace Be Upon Him) and he is not speaking about himself but a son of man to come, and he will be ascended to heaven. And, under Jude, the son of man was the name of the Prophet to come after Jesus (Peace Be Upon Him); i.e. Prophet Muhammad.
      7. In the Israa’ and Mi’raj travel, the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) have met Prophet Jesus (Peace Be Upon Him). Can you relate when you read this, Daniel 7: 13, 14 :
"I continued to observe the night vision - and look! - someone like the Son of Man was coming, accompanied by heavenly clouds. He approached the Ancient of Days and was presented before him. To him dominion was bestowed, along with glory and a kingdom, so that all peoples, nations, and languages are to serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion - it will never pass away - and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed."
You can say this is twist of words or coincidence. But would twist of words or coincidence will be that compatible with future science and older scriptures? It is your call.
      Peace Be Upon You!

Jesus is the one who ascended to heaven according to Islam also.

It's because the story is copied from Moses. There's a Jewish text that narrates how Moses went back to Mount Sinai and from there to Paradise, visiting the first to seventh level, where he also learned that Paradise was huge, so big that even the angels did not know its size, also in the story, the angels are clueless about Moses being there and asked him who he was and why he was there since it was not his time yet, despite Moses being in the company of another angel, then he sees the tree of life and four rivers, each made of milk, wine, honey and balsam.
In the hadiths, they replace Mount Sinai by al-Aqsa in Jerusalem, also they say Jannah has seven levels and is huge not only in extension, but in scale as well, as there is a tree which shadow takes 100 years to cross on the back of a horse, there's a lake +1,000km wide and four massive rivers, each made of milk, wine and honey. Adam is said to be 28m tall and people entering Jannah will be the same stature as Adam, the Houris (virgins) are also massive and when is your time to enter Paradise, angels come and expand your grave. When Muhammad arrives at the gate to Jannah's lowest level, angels behind the gate ask who's there and what they want despite Jibril being with him.

Some points regarding to what you said here:
    1. The term al-aqsa does not actually mean farthest. It would be more accurate to understand it as "on the extremum" or "on the edge".
    2. The term masjid (mosque) actually really means a place of worship and it existed before the Quranic mixture of languages called "Arabic" existed.
    3. Those who "believe" that Al-Aqsa is the entire temple mount complex (and not just the silver domed mosque) are doing so for political reasons and it is a new belief developed in modern times (in the last several decades). It is used so that MusIims will have as much control of the temple mount area.

@ FACT: PROOF QURAN IS THE WORD OF ALLAH (THE CREATOR)
, LORD OF THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE
One Of The Great Miracles (74:35)
For the first time in history, we have a built-in proof that the Quran is the unaltered, original and complete word of God. A proof that is verifiable by anyone. So powerful is the proof, that in a few generations it will become obvious, that any religion or any group of people, which advocates faith, as a pre-requisite or basis for belief will immediately be exposed as a false religion. Since we now have proof, blind faith is no longer valid.
[Quran 17:36] You shall not accept any information, unless you verify it for yourself. I have given you the hearing, the eyesight, and the brain, and you are responsible for using them.
The mathematical structure of the Quran was discovered by Dr. Rashad Khalifa, an Egyptian born American biochemist, in the 1970's. Dr. Khalifa, started translating the Quran into English with the determination to find an explanation for the mysterious initials prefixing 29 Suras. He initiated an extensive research on these initials (for example: the Arabic letter "Qaaf" in Suras 42 and 50), after placing the Quranic text of the initialed Suras into a computer. His objective was to find a mathematical pattern which would explain the significance of the initials, although he had no idea where and what to look for. After several years of research, Dr. Khalifa published his first results in a book entitled MIRACLE OF THE QURAN, Significance of the Mysterious Alphabets (Islamic Productions), in 1973. It was in 1974 that Dr. Khalifa discovered that there was a common denominator in the initials and throughout the Quran - the number 19. Subsequently Dr. Khalifa published, THE COMPUTER SPEAKS: GOD'S MESSAGE TO THE WORLD (Renaissance Productions, 1981), QURAN: Visual Presentation of the Miracle (Islamic Productions, 1982); and the translation of the Quran in English (Islamic Productions, 1989). All these publications are good tools to verify the mathematical structure. (The books can be ordered from ICS, PO Box 43476, Tucson, Az 85733-3476).
      • SOME SIMPLE FACTS
      1. The first verse (1:1), "Basmalah" consists of 19 Arabic letters.
      2. Each of the four Arabic words of "Basmalah" are repeated in the Quran in multiples of 19 in numbered verses. The first word..."Ism" (Name).....occurs...19 times The second word.."Allah" (God)....occurs...2698 times (19x142). The third word..."Al-Rahman" (Most Gracious)...57 times (19x3) The fourth word.."Raheem" (Most Merciful)..114 times (19x6)
The above can be verified by the following:
      1. In the Concordance of the Quran by Abdul Baqy on page 362 the word ISM is listed with 19 occurrences. The peculiar spelling of the word ISM as BISM is repeated in the Quran three times in verses 1:1, 27:30 & 11:41. (1+1+27+30+11+41 + number of occurrences 3 =114 or 19x6)
      2. The count of the word ALLAH can best be verified by Dr. Rashad Khalifa's translation of the Quran which carries the cumulative total occurrences of ALLAH on each page. Abdul Baqy gets the same count when the numbered verse 1:1 is included in his count.
      3. On page 307 on Abdul Baqy's concordance we find AL REHMAN to be 57 as total occurrences.
      4. The word AL RAHEEM is listed on page 307 as occurring 95 times, while RAHEEM is listed on page 309 as occurring as 20 times. The total occurrence is 114 (95 -1 + 20 = 114). AL RAHEEM in verse 9:128 is not counted (Note: verses 9:128 & 129 were falsely injected into the Quran after the death of the prophet. The subject will be discussed in another topic).
      3. The Quran consists of 114 suras, which is ...19 x 6
      4. The total number of verses in the Quran is 6346, or ..19x334.
      6346 is the total of 6234 numbered verses and 112 un-numbered verses (Basmalah) Also 6 + 3 + 4 + 6 = 19
      5. From the missing Basmalah in sura 9 to the extra Basmalah in sura 27, there are precisely 19 suras.
      6. The first revelation (96:1-5) consists of 19 words and 76 letters (19 x 4)
      7. First sura revealed (sura 96) consists of 19 verses and 304 Arabic letters (19 x 16).
      8. The Quran mentions 30 different numbers.(Eg: 300 & 9 in verse 18:25). The sum of the 30 numbers is 162, 146 or 19 x 8534.
      9. The sum of all verse numbers where God "Allah" is mentioned is 118, 123 or 19 x 6, 217.
      • QURANIC INITIALS
There are 29 suras in the Quran with prefixed initials. All the initials are linked to the common denominator - 19. "Q" (Qaaf) is initialed in suras 42 and 50. In both the suras,"Q" is repeated 57 times or 19 x 3.
"Nun" (Noon) is initialed in sura 68 and the name of the letter is spelled out as - "noon wow noon" - in the original text. The total count of "Nun" is 133 or 19 x 7.
"S" (Saad) is initialed in suras, 7, 19, 38, and the total occurrence in the three suras is 152 or 19 x 8.
"Y.S" (Ya Seen). These two letters are prefixed in Sura 36 and the total occurrence for both of them is 285 or 19 x 15.
"H.M" (Ha Mim). These letters prefix suras 40 through 46 and their total occurrence in the seven "H.M" initialed suras is 2147 or 19 x 113.
"A.S.Q" (Ayn Seen Qaf). These initials constitute Verse 2 of sura 42 and are repeated in the sura 209 or 19 x 11 times.
"A.L.M" (Alif Lam Mim). These most frequently used letters in the Arabic language are prefixed in six suras - 2, 3, 29, 30, 31 and 32 and the total occurrence of the three letters in each of the six suras in 9899 (19x521), 5662 (19x298), 1672 (19x88), 1254 (19x66), 817 (19x43) and 570 (19x30) respectively.
All other Quranic initials, without exception, show similar patterns of being multiples of 19.
      • GEOMETRICAL VALUE
When the Quran was revealed, 14 centuries ago, the numbers known today did not exist. Alphabets of Arabic, Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek languages were used as numerals with a value for each alphabet. For example, "alef" had a value of 1, "wow" had a value of 6, etc. The total sum of the 19 letters of "Basmalah" is 786, a number known to muslim masses all over the world by God's will. It is beyond the scope of this article to give the mathematical patterns in the Quran, taking into consideration the Gematrical Value of Arabic letters. Only one example will be given. The total sum of the 14 Arabic letters which participate in the formation of Quranic initials in 29 suras is 693.....693 + 29 = 722 or 19 x 19 x 2.
      • COMPLEX NUMBERS
The use of a computer becomes mandatory in certain complex aspects of the mathematical miracle of the Quran. For example, the sum of the number of verses in each of the 114 suras plus the sum of every single verse number in all the suras is equal to 339, 644 or 19 x 17, 876.
If we take the same number used in getting the total of 339, 644 and put them all, side by side, from the first sura to the last sura, we obtain a 12, 692 digit number. The number 12, 692 is divisible by 19 (19 x 668). But more importantly, the entire 12, 692 digit number is also a multiple of 19.
      7 1234567 286 1234....285286 200 123......5 12345 6 123456.
      • OVER IT IS NINETEEN (74:30)
We now know the meaning of verse 30 of sura 74. God has chosen the number nineteen as his signature on his creation - the Glorious Quran. Anyone who cares to study and verify the mathematical structure of the Quran will know with certainty that such a book can never be authored by anyone, other than by God. When this mathematical structure is taken together with the literary excellence of the Quran, one can appreciate God's assertion in the following verses in the same sura 74, that this is one of the God's great miracles.
[Quran 74:32-35] Absolutely, (I swear) by the moon. And the night as it passes. And the morning as it shines. THIS IS ONE OF THE GREAT MIRACLES.
      • REASON FOR THE MIRACLE OF QURAN
Verse 74:31 gives five reasons for the miracle of the Quran with number 19 as the common denominator.
      1. To disturb the disbelievers.
      2. To convince the Christians and the Jews (that this is divine scripture).
      3. To strengthen the faith of the faithful.
      4. To remove all traces of doubt from the hearts of Christians, Jews, as well as the believers; and
      5. To expose those who harbor doubt in their hearts, and the disbelievers; who will say, "What did God mean by this allegory?" (or "So What?").
      • NEW ERA IN RELIGION
With mankind having a verifiable proof, that the Quran, the Final Testament, is the unaltered word of God, we have entered a new era in religion. Verse 17:36 quoted above mandates, that we use our hearing , eyesight and brain to verify all information, including the miracle of the Quran by ourselves.
This new era also mandates that we seek proof for any religious law or practice dictated upon us. What makes the religion of Submission (Islam) so easy, is the proof, we now have, that the Quran is the unaltered and complete word of God. As submitters (Muslims) to God, we have to accept God's assertion in the Quran; that the Quran is complete, fully detailed and the only source of religious law.

As regards to Mohammed’s night journey I have some really wild theological suspicions about it.
We all know that in the Gospel the Devil tempted Jesus, and one of the places was in a tower in the temple in Jerusalem - and that the devil offered Jesus everything he could see from east to west. The so-called night journey was, as I recall, a dream Mohammed had one night, and in that dream of journey, it is the devil or one of his associates, who take Mohammed to Jerusalem, and I think he offers Mohammed the exact same deal, and I think Mohammed accepted the deal but I think he also haggled, I think he demanded that the capital of the Roman Empire be included (that haggling is metaphorically demonstrated in the part about Moses telling Mohammed to get the number of prayers per day reduced to 5). In the end, Mohammed accepted the deal. A year later the devils promise begins to unfold: Mohammed moves to Yathribe and assumes a political position that expands all the way to the Atlantic in the west to the Pacific in the east. But, the devil withholds Constantinople from the Arabs, and Islam doesn’t get it until the Ottoman Turks emerge.
This is all a theological metaphor to what really happened, but worth contemplating. Christianity survived only in the West and only in Rome but eventually Christianity blossoms, by passing the Muslim lands, and spread to all the other continents and even, eventually, we have Christian men walking upon the surface of the moon 1300+ years later.
The Gospel of John is written much different than the others. I believe it was written, in part, as a letter to Muslims, 500 years before Mohammed preached Islam, to address concerns Muslims might have with Christ and Christianity. And Muslims will know that Gospel is written to them, for them, to address their concerns right from the very first verse of that Gospel. If Muslims feel that the Koran is Mohammed’s only miracle, how much more is the miracle that is the Gospel of John, written as a rebuttal for them to contemplate, 500 years BEFOR Mohammed ever preached?
God loves Muslims that much that he allowed that Gospel to be written and placed in the Bible, but he also loves them enough to allow them, and all of us, to exercise free will. (Maybe it was Thomas Aquinas who said God values freedom so much as to risk our going to hell for it and so we each have free will.)
Furthermore - In John 10:10 Jesus compares himself with Mohammed. Jesus say he came to give us full lives. And so today, Muslims in Muslim majority nations dream about living in the west, while people in the west enjoy an abundant life in freedom of thought, action, conscience: music, science, technology, health, art, and so on.
Read the gospel of John, and contemplate the significance of John 10:10. No matter what the rationalizations, the reality of it and history and life as it currently exist, is overwhelming, for Muslims living in their little hell’s on earth, and Christians and western non-christians living in fullness of freedom and prosperity in the west, and occasionally even, on the moon.

Thank you for the great comments. I don’t really consider myself a religious person in the conventional sense. I am somewhat agnostic in the sense I think that God (the father part) is far more complex that I can imagine in ways I can’t imagine about stuff my mind can’t imagine. I see Jesus as the portage to all of that which I can understand, but I think I as well as others are prone to still get him quite wrong. But I have faith in him as the authority on all things theological and I trust him as my portage. I sometimes think of Jesus as God’s arm and hand which swoops down from heaven to catch us all so we don’t fall any further down and will ultimately be scooped up into him. In that sense I don’t need to know more than that. Which is a comfort. So to probe my own limitations I often express radical or provocative concepts to so where it takes things, to see if knowledge grows thru the dialectic. But if it doesn’t I’m covered by Jesus.

Great find. I knew about this biggest blunder of Historical facts.
This proves that people will believe anything when it comes to following their religions.
Indeed Islam was an example where people of All faiths and beliefs can be united under one banner of Islam.
It was done earlier also . Please read Tom Holland’ Book “ in the shadow of sword”.
Sikh religion has the same roots and motives to unite people of Hindu, Jewish and Islamic faith.
Later during British Raj in India a new religion which claimed a new Messiah called Mirza Ghulam Ahmed under the faith of Ahmediya or Qadiani . Later on this character of Messiah under the patronage of British Raj elevated to new Prophet of Islam, preceded by Mohammad. Isn’t that fascinating
The Ahmediya faith had same similarities with Christianity started by Emperor Titus by creating a character called Jesus.
Both religions( Ahmediya and Christianity) extended olive branch to invaders of their respective lands.
Both faiths preached love and passive actions against Masters of their land.
It doesn’t take much common sense to understand as why aggressors and occupiers of natives land employed religion to safeguard their interests.

    JAY YOU STATED
    REPLY
    1) a Masjid is a PLACE OF PROSTRATION, meaning it is a Temple in Judaism or a Mosque.
You got your panties in a twist by assimilating Al Aqsa and the Dome of the Rock, BUILDINGS MUSLIMS BUILD with the ORIGINAL TEMPLE which is referred to in the Quran as "the Furthers Mosque".
    2) Your deduction about the churches and temples "FURTHER" in Europe is ludicrous...ha ha ha ...as the context in the hadiths and how the pagans in Mecca did not believe Mohammad (saw) is all there and it refers to THAT PLACE!
    3) QUESTION
What was there on that plain during that time?
Al Aqsa was not built yet by the Muslims and the Quran does not say "Al Aqsa" but "the Farthest Mosque", so how the hell can you come up with that rubbish?

I would suggest that 17:1 came first, and the naming of the Al Aqsa mosque came second. If so, those responsible for naming the mosque must have known about 17:1.
    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Aqsa_Mosque
"The covered mosque building was originally a small prayer house erected by Umar, the second caliph of the Rashidun Caliphate, after the Muslim conquest of the Levant in the early 7th century. It was rebuilt and expanded by the Umayyad caliph Abd al-Malik and finished by his son al-Walid in 705."
    "Etymology
Al-Masjid al-Aqsa translates from Arabic into English as "the farthest mosque". The name refers to a chapter of the Quran called Al-Isrā' (Arabic: ٱلْإِسْـرَاء‎), "The Night Journey"), in which it is said that Muhammad travelled from Mecca to "the farthest mosque", and then up to Heaven on a heavenly creature called al-Burāq ash-Sharīf (Arabic: ٱلْـبُـرَاق الـشَّـرِيْـف‎).[5][6]"

    • @anderslvolljohansen1556
      @anderslvolljohansen1556 Před 3 lety +1

Arabic for mosque, masjid (مَسْجِد ) means "place of ritual prostration", according to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mosque
Assuming those who named the southern mosque on the Temple Mount knew about 17:1, it's obvious that they assumed, believed, or wanted people to believe that Muhammad's nightime journey ended here.
If they knew that there weren't any muslims in Jerusalem at the time of the purported journey, they could for example have believed that the verse meant that Allah had ordained the place to be a "place of ritual prostration", but no muslims had had the opportunity to use the place for this purpose yet.
If they believed that Muhammad was magically transported from Mecca to Jerusalem in a single night, they might as well have believed that an actual Mosque building was magically present on the Temple mount when Muhammad arrived. If so, they might have interpreted ruins on the southern part of the temple mount as remnants of such a mosque.

However, I'm still convinced that the Koran is just a lot of Judaism and other faith's religious texts collected during or after Abdel Malik's reign, replacing the original text of the Arabs (see the conversation with Umar II). These are just stories projected back to the supposed beginning of Islam in the 7th century, It doesn't mean that Iyas Ibn Kabisha preached in Jerusalem, it just means that we don't have his preachings anymore in the Koran nor the real city. Maybe the Koran is just a way of replacing the original city of the arabs and hiding the fact that the first Mohammad (Iyas Ibn Kabisha) was not Muslim at all but rather Christian or Judeo-Christian and that the city where he preached the most (probably Petra) was tied to polytheism. Since Iyas Ibn Kabisha freed Jerusalem at the end of his life (because he didn't die in 632 like the SIN said), it was not possible for Abd al Malik to erase him completely, hence the "we" form found in the Koran. Remember: they both took the title of Mohammad Iyas Ibn Kabisha as the messenger of God and Abd al Malik as the Messiah. The Koran is just the story of another group of people projected on the arabs. Starting from the Kuran like Mel does is interesting but could lead you to miss the real protagonists. It was also the goal of the SIN.

The small thatched mud house of Mohammad in madina which incidentally is also his grave. Doesn't look like it belonged to all quanquring Mohammad. Are we talking about two Mohammad's one rich and the other poor? Can someone please clarify?

Quran 17 verse 1 isn't even about Muhammad... read verse 2, it's about Moses...

How I earnestly wish that there is now an ORIGINAL ARAMAIC GOSPEL because I am dying inside to read it. I hope there is a translation in English. It's hard to read it in its original form in Aramaic. I don't know that language. I think Aramaic is much harder to read than Arabic. I believe that this Gospel is a book of spiritual guidance from God. Unlike the 4 make-believe gospels, their contents are purely biographies of Prophet jESUs (pbuh) but with a huge hole in the accounts of his life covering the primetime of his age.
From what museum or library can we find the original ARAMAIC GOSPEL? Is there any original manuscript for it?
I am urging Jay Smith and his cohorts to produce that book as soon as possible so that Muslims and Christians alike will be enlightened. -09-01-23

I guess this would be like if in the Gospels Jesus goes to a church.
But here's a theory: His visit was sometime between 610-615 when under the Sassanids the Jews of Jerusalem had started to rebuild the Temple and had re-instituted the sacrifices there. Thus it was the Jewish temple he visited. I don't really believe this, but just throwing it out there. Something about the flying horse part makes me think the whole story is not true...

Ps 83---the nations around Israel says " let's erase the name of Israel from the surface of the world." Islam is a combinations of these nations around Israel.

Israel is Islam as Islam is SUBMISSION TO THE CREATOR and all Jews SUBMITS TO THE CREATOR, making then Muslim by definition.

Just a random IDEA about the night journey from Mecca mosque to the "farthest" mosque.... What if the writer is trying to imply "heaven" or the Throne Room of God (thinking in lines that the quran has heretical Christian roots or something like that). From mecca to HEAVEN? does the verse imply a touchdown on earth after leaving mecca? I'm obviously just speculating here. I enjoy your videos & praise your work. Muslims are wonderful people & most are in such need to know the TRUE biblical God! Jesus Christ .... The Lord of Lords who so loved humankind that he gave his life -his blood to cover our sins. What a God! What a beautiful message Christianity offers the world. God bless + Maranatha!
