im a 50 yr old man with oily skin.
ive tried several moisturisers and observed 1 thing - no matter what i use, i have to wash my face every 2,3 hrs coz it somehow gets oily and i feel the need to give it a wash.
so my only solution is to carry a facewash to office.
i use the ones from nat habit very nice.
anyway i now want to try this serum thing to use at night before bed or when im home only.
what do u suggest ?

I'm 17. I've darks spots of acne all over face,dry skin,uneven skintone,acne marks, pimples, whiteheads on my chin and nose. I'm using Cetaphil cleanser, minimalist niacinamide serum,Johnson baby cream and aqualogica sunscreen. But my acne marks are getting more darker! Which vitamin c will be good for me?

The only Vit C that I used which made me flabbergasted was Khiels Corrective Dark Spot Serum (Aka Vit C Serum). I know it's expensive but probably the bestest purchase of my life. It truly turned my skin 180°. I am currently using Minimalist one, and have tried many previously from this list but nothing tops the Khiels Vit C serum. People are really sleeping on that one for sure.

It’s worked amazingly for me tooo! It’s really clears out all the acne spots. But recently discovered ordinary’s recent launch of aloe + NAG which works just as effectively and is kinder on the wallet!

please try out the klairs vit c serum. it's very beginner friendly having 5% of vit c in it but it's a little expensive :)

Hii Jovi, i would recommend one more Vit C from Foxtale. Please try that, it brightens and gives glassy finish to skin. I think it is underrated and very few have given review about it.

I recently purchased plum vitamin c serum, it is really sticky but does it really work or not?

@@MrJovitageorgeOn Google I hv read it can be carcinogenic..means if brand crossed that specific limit of concentration then it may give cancer.. But yes it's very effective in skincare..but I never take risk..so i avoid that too
I personally prefer vitamin c or retinol or any other anti oxidant serum in an airless pump to avoid oxidation 😅 Conscious chemist have a good vitamin c ofcourse u did a great job recommend some of the best my lovely sis Jovita ne san much love from Andhra 😮

But minimalist vitamin c gave me whiteheads 😢 I wanted it to work. Well I tried it 2 years ago so maybe now the formulation has been changed.
The formula rx vitamin C has a combination of alpha arbutin + N acetyl glucosamine

Minimalist , chemist at play and consious chemist vitamin c never worked for me and plum one gave me breakouts currently using foxtale one its really gud i have noticed a lot of changes next tym wil try deconstruct vitamin c

Dot and key didn’t cause any irritation or any sort of itching or redness but I did get a few pimples. Other than that, I did not enjoy the texture, it’s too thick though I’m a dry skin type. I also noticed that my face looked oily and a little dull after using it even though I used my moisturiser and sunscreen on top!!!!

I've decided to talk about my relevant personal experiences on every skincare video I watch just to help people better. So here goes:
The plum vitamin C serum didn't work for me. I tried using it for 3 months and didn't notice a lot of change.
Before using that, I was used to using the Suganda antioxidant serum which did oxidise pretty quickly ( they've stabilized the formulation now) was really good. So that is my baseline for comparing serums in terms of watery consistency as well as effectiveness.
The derma co vitamin c I haven't tried.
Minimalist serums ( I bought a bunch of them in 2021) make me allergic and my lips swell up like crazy. So I try avoiding using anything Minimalist out of fear 😅.
Dot and Key generally tends to have fragrance. Not just a subtle fragrance but sometimes it can feel like a bottle of perfume. Since I try avoiding fragrance in my skincare, I haven't tried any other Dot and Key products ever since I first bought it.
Other than that, I was just researching different ingredients and wanted to buy the most affordable, lightweight and effective vitamin c serum that was also hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic ( I tried to make sure that all the ingredients were on a scale of 0-1 on the comedogenic scale and 0-1 on the irritation rating. You can find all this on the INCIdecoder website). That's when I came across the deconstruct vitamin c with ferulic acid serum. I've order it and now am waiting to see how goood it works for my skin! Hope this helps!
P.s. These are just my experiences and preferences. Every skin is different and everyone has different issues, skin types and sensitivities. Always pick products accordingly.

Same here… Plum didnt work for me as well moreover it broke me out like hell. Then I started using 20% Derma Co Vit C serum, used for 3 months or so. It was good but one vit c which made me say wow was Foxtale Vit C Serum. The fragrance is a bit off and smells like curd, but it works wonders for my acne prone skin. I would highly recommend that. It dodnt broke me and gave a very good glow. It has been almost 3 months using it and I am most satisfied after using it.
Plum and Derma Co never worked for me, none of their products ever worked no matter what I did. Infact, they gave more problems. Dot & Key fragrance and mediocre performance lack lustre. I have oily sensitive acne prone skin and the one which gave me revolutionary results is Khiels Vit C serum. The best ever serum I used in my life. It's very expensive but the way it works is beyond amazing

The market does have ones with airless pump. Murad is one, Foxtale is another one. I am not a fan of the Foxtale one though.

i am currently trying the minimalist vit c (i usually use the derma co one) and i am not liking the texture. it is weirdly dry, after i apply it to my toned face, it feels like i didn't apply anything, it's a liquid that's not wet. how weird! Edit: i have used every vit c serum i could find both in india and europe, the minimalist one is the weirdest

@@monasingh7807I think you can - just avoid under eye ans eyelid area for any vitamin C serum. Since the plum one is 15% you can go for the minimalist one 10% in its place and see if that helps

Avoid applying Vit C on your under eyes if its irritating you. You can apply a regular moisturizer on your whole face including under eyes.
