Leo Gordon was an interesting person. He was popular in westerns in particular as a heavy. Although he had done some prison time in his early years over an attempted bank robbery, in stark contrast to his on screen persona, Leo Gordon was a quiet and intelligent man and said by many to be a "consummate professional" in the film acting profession. A very interesting person and I would love to have been able to see him speak in an interview. If there is an interview with him anywhere on you tube etc, I cannot find it. Leo Gordon and Clint Walker were apparently close friends.

Leo Gordon was one of the most reliable, well prepared character actor bad guys in the business and he was also credited with writing many episodes for TV (including Cheyenne) and several motion pictures (Tobruk) as Leo V Gordon. He may have lost some fights but they were always to men like Clint Walker and John Wayne and even they didn't find it easy. Gordon was a great talent.
