Cozmo is available in the U.S. Launching in Canada in July, and France, Germany, U.K., and Nordic countries in September 2017.
Driven by the vision of bringing a character to life in the real world, we’ve worked incredibly hard to combine robotics, AI, and computer vision technologies into a consumer robot. Our realization of that vision is Cozmo, a real-life robot like you've only seen in movies, with a one-of-a-kind personality that evolves the more you hang out.

So adorable! My daughter is autistic and a HUGE Wall-E fan, we're definitely going to have to get this little guy for her. She'll be delighted to have her own personable robot. I can see it helping her a lot in understanding facial expressions, too, what a neat product. Can't wait. :)

Good point of awareness. I think it might be because Wall-E, MO, and Eva are already set in our minds as associated to pleasure and therefore favored. In Anki doing so I think that would make the consumers learning/adoption curves of Cosmo shorter thus translating into faster/more sales overall or at least higher percentile in the hits of interest about the product. It has be said that: "Creativity Is Great; but Plagiarism Is Faster" in the case of Cosmo I would say or rather use the word Strategic Homage instead of Plagiarism.

O.M.G! This is SO WALL-E. the facial expressions are that of the later model or rather high-end model robots from the movie. Congratulations, Anki. You've started making the world of WALL-E, albeit on a much smaller scale, I stand by my amazement and compliments all the same.
I have been waiting a while for a new Anki product. When I saw supertrucks, I thought that was it. You really surprised me with the announcement of Cosmo.

Anki thank you, my brother hates my guts and when I got cozmo.... It changed my childhood the amount of games, the expressions he makes, the laughter, the fun, you guys put so much work into this and now I have a ligit brother.
Anki I thank you for changing the way I get to play, have fun, be myself.... Cozmo is revolutionary and he won't not be popular for a long time... He may be small but he is the most: inexpensive AI robot that has emotions, how much he cars for you, and how he experiences life...

Being someone who has been in AI research for a while now, I just wanted to congratulate you guys! It's a great idea! Me and my 5 years old daughter have been watching videos of what Cozmo can do, and, despite the age gap, we both like it. Best of luck! Sara

I like this. Seems like they are starting with the character, then adding technology. most other companies start with the tech and try to draw a character around it.

I need to get one of these so badly, as a 2nd year artificial intelligence in robotics student this is the perfect hobby/companion for me to have. I would love to work with this when the SDK gets released. It's a shame I'm in the UK, I would've preordered one earlier today otherwise :'(

Now this is something I've never seen before. I've seen others like it but this stands out to me. It's way more interactive and looks fun! The thing that would make me loose interest would be knowing how predictable he is. Did you (Anki)make him less predictable and not as repeating unlike other robots?
