    41:28 Aww your so nice :D, most tourists love and go to my country for its coastal parts and the islands.
    Theres no street gangs in Croatia (we do have "gangs" in politics though),
    most of the graffiti in croatia are related to sport clubs (dinamo, hajduk, bad blue boys, torcida),
    gangs dont exist and the crime rate is very low.
    Thank you for advertising our small country,
    you 2 seem really honest so its especially nice to hear you say good things about my country!

    Visiting a flea market, chasing down the planets of the solar system that is part of an art installation, attending a basketball game......is why I love you guys. The experience is totally atypical and it is your joy in the discoveries that makes my experience so much the better. Your travel vlogs and experiences in Japan living have pretty much been one of the few that I've come to watch over the years on a consistent basis!

    Shpitza = the point, pointy end, pinnacle. It's the place or time when things are happening. (it's coming from german, spitz) So, shpitza can be a place (like the main street where all the notables come to be seen) or time (like the high point of a party). Of course, time and place can converge to form a really big shpitza, like regular saturday morning in Zagreb center. That's where you go to be in the middle of things, brag about party exploits from the previous evening, plan for saturday night or just show off your new bling.
    Speeka (how you pronounce it) is actually Zagreb slang for talk or story (incidentally, coming from english). Basically, it means the same as "spiel" in american slang. So "that's a good speeka" for something that's good, makes sense or "he's trying to sell me a speeka" for he's trying to cheat me.

    Cedevita is not low ranking club . They win: 5 Croatian Championships (2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18), 6 Croatian Cups, 1 ABA League Supercup.
    Tickets for ZET tram and buses you can buy in news stand (kiosk/tisak) near almost every tram/bus station.

    Another nice video from you two! I'm glad you've enjoyed in my country and beautiful Zagreb!
    Regarding toilets, these opened ones aren't "Croatian way" of toilets, but obviously you simply stumbled upon sub-standard ones at some places.
    More modern, larger, newer, or simply poshier restaurants, cafes etc. pay a lot of attention to have private, lockable, clean and modern toilets. Many of them are even designed cool.
    Tram/bus tickets are easy to find in almost any newsstand esp. bigger ones. You just ask for one of the ticket options;
    tram ticket for half an hour for 4 kn and one hour for 7 kn.
    There's also ticket for one day ride, that costs something about 25 kn.
    You can buy tickets in tram/bus also simply by asking driver for tickets, but almost only when tram isn't moving. Aslo it's important to know that there's only one ticket option inside tram/bus that is gonna cost you 15 kn each.
    And hey, how did you end up in such a outdated apartment?! There are much, much, much more modern ones, with modern facilities inside, better bathrooms, ...

    spika is actually another slang word in Zagreb rooted in the english "speak" and basically refers to the way you talk or things you say. in zagreb in particular it's very common to use english terms and call someone a "frend" and stuff like that. Špica (which is what you were trying to say but were actually saying spika) comes from the german "spitz" which means point like the point of a cone.

    haha you guys are unique, I've never seen any CZcams travel vlogers going to these areas of Zagreb :) And yeah, I studied in Zagreb, lived there for years and almost never paid for a tram, it's common here to not pay for the ride, we call it švercati se which literally means smuggling yourself :) But if control catches you it can be unpleasant so you are constantly looking if someone will take the inspector ID out in the middle of the ride and start asking for tickets, so you strategically position yourself next to a door, so you can jump out on the next station, if they don't reach you by then, or you are next to a machine with a ticket ready, so you stamp your ticket if you notice them :) And I'm ashamed to admit that I had no idea about the solar system installation, passed by the Sun million times and always thought it is just Sun standing there, OMG, and I'm a space geek and scientific kind of guy, wtf, cannot believe it haha And tour of that bathroom was hilarious haha but that is obviously anciently equipped apartment but I think bidets are not a thing anymore, I don't see them as often installed in more recently equipped bathrooms and yeah, before tub was the norm, but they are going into extinction, showers are the norm now

    Hey, Guys. So I think about the bus ticket, you guys bought the tickets from the bus driver, awesome! But I think you still need to validate your ticket, by inserting your tickets to the yellow machine on the bus.... So see on your ticket, it shows an arrow to the right side with a little bit blank space, that arrow means you insert your ticket in to the yellow machine on that direction, and the machine prints a date and time on your ticket. Then from that date and that time, your ticket is going to be valid for the next 30 mins. At least that's how those things work on the German subway system. :) So technically you guys still ride that bus without tickets. As long as you didn't punch your ticket from the ticket machine, you can always use your tickets for the next ride. Nice try though!

    Špica and spika is not the same in Zagreb. Špica means the period of day when the places are crowded by the people e.g. restorants. And spika means conversation and does com from English for to speak. So we say spika to have a chat.

    • @silvanapenzenstadler5904
      @silvanapenzenstadler5904 Před 5 lety

      BTW, since I ought to speak German on daily basis my English has shrink and become sort of bad. It has to be "the period of the day" and dose come from English. BTW repit myself Špica comes from German and it stays for Spitze and it means the saqme in Gedrman. So if you visit Vienna or Salzburg look not to go eat your lunch or supper at the Spitze time. Would like to see soon in Austria.

    You've missed Uranus and continued to go forward in the completely opposite direction. You've ended up in what, as far as I know, used to be a second-hand car market, but has grown into a general flea market. (As a cautionary note, you've mentioned that you passed by a military base, please don't film military objects as it is illegal and you might get in trouble.) Uranus is kinda hard to find though, it's in a parking lot of a residential building. My friend and I went there to find it when we were in high school and it took as a while. Neptune was even harder though, took us two tries. You have to go to the last stop of a bus line, and walk around a neighbourhood and it's on one of the electricity poles. You can't even walk to the Pluto plaque, it is on a pillar in the middle of an under pass on a very busy road almost on the edge of the city. To also comment on the scale, at this scale Australia would be about 1 light year away.
    As for the Jupiter and Saturn locations. The roundabout with Saturn is just one block away from the self-proclaimed best high school in Croatia, which is the proclamation that I couldn't possibly be supporting just because I went there for four years. More importantly for tourists, it is on the way to the Maksimir park/ZOO. The road that Jupiter is on can lead you to the largest graveyard in Zagreb which contains an arcade where a lot of historical figures are buried, you'd also pass by my university as well.

      Oh, right. Endless Adventure are Californians. I centred my description of a scale solar system on Sacramento because ..... yeah. Sorry! In context on a 1:1000000 scale, the Sun's a fireball covering the whole Higamiyasha Zoo and Botanical Gardens in Nagoya and the Earth's orbit passes over Kaga, Osaka, the ocean and the G 8 Yonaru CC at the foot of the near slopes of Mount Fuji. Neptune's orbit takes it back into yesterday, up the Pacific, across the Aleutian islands, over the Bering, East Siberian and Laptev Seas and across Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Burma and Thailand, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and the Marshall Islands.

    Bidet advice: no rotating. You do your business, use toilet paper. Move over to bidet that was previously filled with warm water and the bidet soap. Sit on it (no facing the wall) and use hand to clean front and back. For men and women.

    Regarding the use of the bidet...
    You do your business in the toilet, you clean yourself with toilet paper, etc... and instead of leaving a "stamp" in the boxers/panties and having the burning sensation, you sit on the bidet and wash your junk with a bit of soap.
    It's a way of feeling clean without using the shower.
