his was awesome! Thank you! And I agree, my idea of fabric scraps is just what you showed, a yard is not a scrap so thank you for you awesome ideas. LOVE your doggy bed but also your other ideas!
Thanks! So, funny story I just finished some fleece projects for Christmas was looking for ways to handle scraps on CZcams and in the first seconds of your video I see a Pfaff similar to mine; and the same exact fleece! ...Funny stuff. Happy Holidays!
I’m almost 70 and my wrists & ankles need extra layers. 🥶Sew whatever pieces to form a rectangle that is a half-inch longer than around my wrist or ankle; then sew the 2 ends to form a loop. Ta-da!! A pull-on warmer!! Put it on & make the next!! 🎉
I appreciate your sharing these ideas. I do love the dog bed best. Her tail was wagging fiercely from happiness. Fleece of course is soft and warm for your dog. In Ohio that can man a lot to our pets in this cold climate.
I was lucky to be gifted with some bags of fleece squares, a little bigger than the ones you used for the dog bed. I made a 2-sided bathroom rug, which I lined with a ratty old towel. I sewed the seam allowances down as I pieced it, using chain piecing technique. That added to the construction time, but it also meant the seam allowances didn't bunch up. That rug washes like a dream. It looks surprisingly good. I thought it would look like a total mess, but even the side I consider the "ugly" side is not bad-looking. My family admires it, too. I have been saving up more fleece scraps to make a fun scrappy blanket or a child's bright poncho. If you are concerned about homemade bath mat slipping, (or even homemade slippers) you can get silicone caulking product at the hardware store and place dots/ smears of it on the rug (or slipper soles).
My dog loves soft things, too. She’d love a fleece rope bone, because she loves ropes. 😂 I recently bought her chenille which I hemmed for a blanket and now she has a nicer blanket than anyone else, but she loves it. She bites it, but doesn’t pull or rip it.
Love the dog bed and dog braided toy ideas- you have the coolest ideas….so fresh and adds a dimension to regularity- love your creativity and how you get ‘out of the box’ and put fresh new twists to otherwise ‘normal’ items😊
I sew larger fleece scraps together to make a blanket top (simiilar to your dog bed) and then backing the scrap top with another whole piece of fleece yardage. Makes a colorful, warm blanket for someone to enjoy.
My grandma used to make the heat packs all the time, i just finished a no sew blanket and i’m sewing all the scrap squares together to make a bigger one to match the blanket :) thanks for letting me remember that cool trick!
Great ideas! The last project for your scraps can also be made into a throw-especially if you have a lot more scraps. My sister has two small poodles so she took all the old fleece blankets, cut them down to size, stuffed an old pillow in them and tied the ends. She has them all over the house for the dogs.
Great ideas. And I agree with you that a yard or even a half yard is not a scrap. I love the idea that you used actual small scraps. I have a whole bag full and now have some ideas esp the headband for the Grands with flowers. With the selvage edges I have crocheted a small rug for the bathroom. Great fluffy feeling when you step out of the shower. Thanks so much for this post.
Oh!!! If you make your flowers fluffier, you can make a flower to attach to your dog’s collar. If she’s a girl lol. Or make them for friends and neighbors pets. You can also use the flowers to glue to hair pins or attach to your bandanas. What you’ll need to do is fold them into individual triangles, tack them down and then start attaching them to each other. You can use a round piece of felt and then either use an elastic to go over the collar or just hot glue it.
I had always thought of sewing those squares together but never could collect enough to do anything with..... but I love the dog toy idea and the doggy bed!! ❤️
I made so many no sew fleece blankets for holiday gifts and I have so many fleece squares. The dog bed is such an awesome idea. I have two small dogs so this is going to be perfect. Thank you for sharing.
I really like all of these creative projects; especially the flowers and the doggie bed. I've been thinking of using my fleece scraps to make a patchwork quilt top. You have inspired me to get started. Thank you for sharing😊. I'm also going to try the baby toy.
I use selvages for bag handles also. Fleece isn’t good for headbands, fleece will make you sweat more and won’t absorb the sweat at all, but if it’s used to keep your hair out of your face for winter, bit would be great.
I'd deffinetly make the scrap pet bed, But I have no skill in sewing so I'll need help from my aunt 😂, still, the idea is really good and you made it look store bought!
I really like the rice bags and the ribbon baby toy ...very clever. I made a cat toy with my salvage edges. I secured a bunch of the stripes at one end to a rid from a mini blind with duct tape. The rid was plastic so fairly flexible. I then tied little cat ties at various levels on the strips and had a "wand " toy. My cat loves to chase all the strips and attached toys!
Woooow! I like the dog mat. These are nice projects for fleece scrap. I'm currently making fleece onesies and I have so much scraps. I'll try some of these with the scraps when I'm done making the onesies.
Thanks there are some great ideas! I was looking for ways to attach small squares to make a child size blanket. Your idea of cutting your fleece for stuffing is what we have been doing here in Kansas with our group Friends For Charity. We don’t throw away any scraps but cut and use them for dog beds that we donate to the different Humane Societies in our area. We have a warning not to wash them in a washing machine as if it comes apart it would ruin the machine! I like the baby toy I think the most! You could use scrap ribbon as well. Thank you again.
Love the things you have made, especially the dog bed/pillow. Q: I know you said you used the filling from the items you cut up, so to ask is there any form of separation between the filling? I am not sure how to do that, but I wonder if there is a lot of shifting and then lumps? Would you mind elaborating? Thank you
his was awesome! Thank you! And I agree, my idea of fabric scraps is just what you showed, a yard is not a scrap so thank you for you awesome ideas. LOVE your doggy bed but also your other ideas!
I love fleece..

It works!
I have a bunch of fleece squares and I want to make a blanket for Project Linus so your dog bed was inspirational! Thank you!
I took your idea for a dog bed and am now making a cat bed with my fleece scraps I've cut into squares. Lots of fun. Thanks for the inspiration.
I appreciate your sharing these ideas. I do love the dog bed best. Her tail was wagging fiercely from happiness. Fleece of course is soft and warm for your dog. In Ohio that can man a lot to our pets in this cold climate.
I liked the dog bed. Great use of scrapes.
How Cute Jenn..
Making cute and creative flowers were my favorite. ❤

I use long pcs of fabric/fleece & braid like you did, but use it to tie up my tall plants. They last quite a long time.
I like the hand warmers best. THX for ideas.
Sweet ideas!

I recently bought her chenille which I hemmed for a blanket and now she has a nicer blanket than anyone else, but she loves it. She bites it, but doesn’t pull or rip it.
My favorite was the puppy bed. You have inspired me to make one for my Pug.
Glad to hear it!
Really nice ideas thank you also the little dogs waggy tail...adorable💖

That tail really started going when she got on her new bed! Made me smile. Very nice job and thanks for the ideas!
The headband is super cute!
I am going to do the fiddle cushion for my grandson! Thank you for the ideas!
Happy to help!
My grandma used to make the heat packs all the time, i just finished a no sew blanket and i’m sewing all the scrap squares together to make a bigger one to match the blanket :) thanks for letting me remember that cool trick!
Glad I could help :)
I was going to say you can make dog toys ,but then you gave one to your dog. So you knew.
Loved the projects! Hard to pick a favorite…. They are all really cute!
Great ideas. I liked the bed, the flower, the dog toy ,the head band
I really like the headbands
That dog bed is adorable!!!
Thanks ❤️
Awesome projects! I really liked the dog bed. 👍🏻👵🏻💖
Making some flowers to go with my fleece hats for this fall and winter. Love the idea of the rice bags too😉
The selvedge edges are very strong and are great for tying stuff together.

Loved them All, n liked that they are easy to make. Thanks for sharing.

Like them all, thanks for sharing. I know I will be trying a few. For sure the flowers n headband.
Your imagination is endless. i love all projects, but since I have active boys I would probably make the rice packs. Ty for sharing
Love your work; I was planning to make a cat blanket with the scraps that was left from making cusion covers and cushion chair back covers
I love the dog bed. Very cute.
I am taking the salvation edges and braiding them and preparing to make a braided rag rug out of them for my living room.
Like the flower!
Great inspiration for those little scraps !!
I'm working with fleece at the moment . Love the ideas of making use of every bit of the fabric 🙂.
Thanks for sharing Ur ideas

Love the dog bed. Great idea. Thanks!
Loved the rattle.
I loved the little dog bed it was so cute and adorable.
Excellent!🦋
Very nice and I will make the ribbon tab one.
Use dental floss to sew buttons on. And to sew you small piece fabrics together. They won't come apart like thread would.
Love your videos
Adore the dog bed 🥰
Your dog is really cute
You should not put polyester in the microwave. Hand warmers need to be made with cotton and cotton thread. Bean bags are fine.
Correct, polyester will melt, it’s plastic.
Thanks!!! So useful
Favorite is the dog bed! Would love to heat up the heat packs in the microwave in the morning- will do this one later
I have been getting some comments about skipping heating, so you may want to check the type of fabric online for compatibility.
Your so creative.
Cute ideas!
I make duster to put on duster handles .
Can you explain how you made the dog toy, super cute! Totally making some rice packs too!

Jenn have you made ant fleece bags like to carry small stuff from the store, or anything.?.
well I LOVE fabric with words on it....I save ALLmy selvedges, and use them...
I like the its cute.
Awesome like dog bed best she is a cutest
Jen where did you get that wheel cutter
What kind of needle did you use in the sewing machine? I love your ideas. TY.
Just a standard/universal needle
The fleece doesn't burn or melt in the microwave?
Not really. Put on low heat only.
I dont know how to use a sewing machine yet. I only know how to sew by hand.
👏🏻👏🏻🤩👍🏻👍🏻💐
1 yard counts as a whole project lol not scraps lol
Fleece melts in a microwave doesn’t it?
Not really. Put on low heat only.
Stuff the toys
