- Local singer Judy Obregon paid the UT Health School of Dentistry more than $6800 but their dentures didn't work. Now UT Health has refunded her money.
Again a news station gets what couldnt be done in 5 months done in less than a week. Ridiculous no accountable
That's it girl, call channel 5! Took them One call; public shame is a mother. But that UTSA Dental School is Still Shameful! I heard sooo Many Horror stories about Expense ,Gaslighting=lying, Sevice and Results. SMH😢

Dental school not a good idea
250 dollars to remove each tooth? That’s ridiculous. Maybe for the first one. After that there should be a group rate, like 50 for each.

What a Heartwarming Story.. I had to have Dental Implants put in My LiL Mouth (took Forever) Time, Money & Many Dental offices until I Finally found the Place & NOW .. I cant even believe this was UTSA dental school.!!! If all places.Glad ahe called the tv station cause next stop was an attorney.I would never go there for any dental work.
I've had nothing but great luck with those schools. For poor people they are a god send
But most people don't see that student procedures still have to be profitable for the school.
Not to mention that if you are trying to save money, body part replacement isn't a great place to try it. There are very high cosmetic expectations and, in her case, extra complex functional needs as a singer.
From an outside perspective, I would have counseled a prosthodontics resident who would have had a specialist faculty supervisor.
All that being said, waiting that long for the refund was ridiculous.
