always a day late! I just did that repair on my TT. I used 1/4" double sided tape to hold onto the plastic strip. I saw one where they stapled the fabric on each end to hold it. I wish I had seen yours before I fixed mine! Thank you so much.

I had the exact same experience and result. Any way you can video a closeup of the plastic end clip just before you try to push it onto the rod ends? For me, that may give me insight as to how those plastic end caps are effectively seated. Thoughts?

Thanks for the video Dave. Our 2021 FW has the MCD black out shades too. So far up to five of shades bottoms have come off and we baby them when pulling them down. Poor design IMHO.

Just happened to mine this weekend, brand new Alliance. Many of those end caps are falling off. Found them on the floor after traveling (they are all in the up position when traveling) now I gotta do what you did but won't have that handy countertop to lay it flat. I may try some super glue on that tacky strip and on the end caps. Thanks for the tip :)

I tried super glue today. Seems to work. It's much stronger than the original double sticky tape.
As soon as I see that "ill fitting" tab I'm gonna' comment and get me a free beer!

When we were driving through Kentucky back in june, our back window shade completely fell off and landed on the floor. It took us over a week to get part shipped to us so we could fix it. It was a pain! Wish ours were like these. Great video! Lynn and Danny

I wonder why NH went to MCD? I think my 2017 is Irvine shade.
We have had MCD shades in a couple different rigs over the years and have been happy. But then we are far from experts on any other brands.
That turned out to be more of a pain in the butt then I thought 🤪 but you got it 👍🍻
It's those stupid small pieces. Give me a wrench or a hammer and I'm much better off.
