They'll probably all be mass produced in the same factory for multiple supermarket chains mate... But they'll have slight differences depending on the supermarkets own requirements... Like the two you tried today Gaz... The Baked Beans... Hash Browns... Omelette... Will all be identical and standard ingredients for most supermarkets chains... Then tweaked to their own needs like different Sausages or adding Bacon... Or maybe even adding a slice of Black Pudding... The cost to product weight ratio is almost identical too... Iceland All Day Breakfast cost £1.79 for 400g = 2.2g per penny... Asda All Day Breakfast cost £1.50 for 350g = 2.3g per penny... But i have to say mate... I would take the Asda All Day Breakfast every time... It had both Bacon and Sausage that had some taste to them... Where as the Sausages in the Iceland version were pretty tasteless... Everything else was identical... So Asda wins hands down... Thanks for the review Gaz... Cheers mate.🍺

having worked in production factories yes they are produced in the same factory different lines and yes it's about what each company wants so cheaper means less of something and here we see 2 sausages v 1 sausage plus a splat of bacon so there's the saving

I've had the ASDA version quite a few times, I always bung in an extra hash brown, and make some hot buttered toast to go with it. It's so easy to overcook (in the micro) the omelette, however. The baked beans are nice, nearly mushy pea-like in texture.

@@BaldFoodieGuy Probably taste like rubber mats, too!
Never much in these ready meals - they’re meant to serve one - but I have heard of tight people mistaking them for a family meal - looked at the price, did their sums and decided “One between two!”. Not with these things!
I have lived in places that never believed in feeding people properly - a single bowl of cereal with powdered milk on it, to the management, is a complete breakfast - or a couple of slices of toast! Even if they do a full breakfast, it’s that only - the idea of cereal, followed by a full English, followed by a couple of slices of toast never occurred to them - when they do a full English, everything is grilled - except for the egg, which is either scrambled or poached - and they can’t even poach them properly - and heaven forbid that you like a nice piece of streaky bacon - not much of it left by the time they’re finished with trimming all traces of fat off it - even if you bought and paid for it yourself - they won’t let you cook it yourself and you don’t tell the staff to fry it and do not trim the fat off - they grill it and trim all the fat off - looks like it’s gone through a paper shredder!
Haricot beans - the T is silent - harry coh!

Lunchtime: Breakfast is ready.. A bit fiddly and time consuming for what you get. I'd opt for the ASDA, just to have a better tasting sausage and bacon.
Those trays are so thin now they break in transit even before they reach the supermarket. I've had 2 so far. I took photos and sent them to the customer service along with a letter of concern.
The plastic becomes brittle at freezing temperature and cannot withstand an impact unlike the previous trays that are very robust.
Saturdays are my go to ADB's, time to actually enjoy it.

For £15 in Tesco you can buy the ingredients for 6 full English breakfasts which would consist of bacon, chipolata, eggs, mushroom, tomato, hash browns, beans and toast. That comes out at £2.50 per meal, the same as the Iceland breakfast, which, let's be honest, is garbage. If you do not want such a gut busting meal, and it is big, you could use have one sausage and one slice of bacon and half a tomato and half a mushroom (the big ones) and still have a nice breakfast for 12 days at £1.25 a meal. I have these as dinners so I go larger but have also had the smaller variety. Also, I now freeze portions of sausage and bacon so I do not have to have it all right away over a few days.

Microwave bacon in 2 mins, do same for baked beans in 1 min, and cook omelette on the hob in a frying pan in 3/4 mins. For the sausage, buy frikadellen (pre cooked sausage meat patties) from Lidl (5 patties for about £2) and microwave 1 or 2 for 30 secs each side, and there's your all day breakfast (without Yanky yucky hashbrowns),

In a pinch, for £5, you could get 2 of the Asda breakfasts, cheap loaf of bread, tin of tomatoes or a couple of fresh ones and make a decent big breakfast!
2 sausage, 2 bacon, 2 eggs, 2 hash brown, beans, 2 slices of toast and in a frying pan, fried bread and tomatoes. Not bad for a fiver! 😋

With energy prices going the way they are now it's probably cheaper to nip to Wetherspoons for a cheap but decent brekkie and a bit of a warm when the weather turns. Haha.

The thing is with these things are that they will use the cheapest ingredients possible....and look at the amount of ingredients too. Very artificial.

Iceland seems to have stopped doing the all day breakfast. Not seen them for months. I usually add bacon to make it better if the meal is available

Let's be honest and realize that the schools should be teaching the basics in cooking, which includes making a decent breakfast, and also understanding that it's a treat and not a daily habit. I do find Mr Bald Guy reviews interesting, but these days we are all making excuses for people not being able to cook. My Mother passed down her knowledge to me which had also been passed down to her from my Gran.
