- I went out searching for the national dish of Egypt (Apparently its called Koshary) and it is honestly pretty weird. A big portioned bowl only costs 1$, so it makes me happy!
What is Egyptian food? surely, You wouldn't think it's macaronis and tomato sauce? Well those are ingredients in it's signature dish, Koshary, which i went out on this day to find. In fact I found the most popular Koshary shop in all of Egypt. It only costed 1$!
Staying on brand I also found myself at the most popular shawarma restaurant in all of the land of Egypt! Sometimes this place take almost an hour to get your food but in the end it will be the best shawarma you ever tried.
Course 3 was a wild card and it even took a crazy turn that I wasn't even expecting...

Mango juice or sugar cane are the most popular in Egypt. Most tourists are curious to try sugar cane juice and so I think the shop keeper was surprised.

There were lots of videos warning people not to go before i ever went. It is absolutely worth going....just research the good and bad (as with anywhere) and it can be amazing.

@@sealontour In middle eastern cultures it's good manners to offer people around you the food in your hands before starting to eat. It is totally different thing from feeding the needy. Like these young people sitting on the pavement waiting for their turn, I would have stretched my hand with the box of food offering them to eat a piece. They will decline, but it is the customs to offer anyway. Some people might also insist (to an annoying degree) that you taste the food they're about to eat, the elderly would be offended if you declined. This is the case in all countries from Turkey to Morocco.
