This is gonna sound kinda dumb, but hear me out:
I think the scariest thing about these videos is that they have to go through this in silence. And I know you're probably thinking 'well duh', but think about it.
We have mood music most of the time, so we're not 'alone' in a sense. There are buildups, and drops, and sounds that indicate something about to happen. We have something constantly there to kinda take solace in, and we're not really alone. We can kinda sense when something's about to happen from the tone of the music, the swells, the drops, everything.
But not for them.
Colby had to be in that basement completely in silence. Sam was out there with the wildlife in silence. Even with the phones, it's not super comforting. We have music in our headphones (if you watch with them), kinda surrounding us. But the phone is just one thing. You leave it somewhere, and you're in silence again.
They can hear every little sound of the house and the outside, noises we might not hear because they deemed it too insignificant to stop the music for. If you've ever been alone and in complete silence during the night (maybe staying up late or something), you probably know that any little noise - the house settling, a piece of trash slightly shifting, your pet moving around - makes you just a little anxious.
Now imagine that feeling, but in a house you know full well is haunted by a ton of spirits and who-knows-what-amount of straight up demonic entities. Then it goes from 'oh, that sound is justifiable and I can calm down pretty easily' to 'holy shit, that's either the house settling, or the reason for my death'. And you have to go through that.

Kudos to you guys, cuz I couldn't even imagine myself GOING to the Conjuring House in the first place with ANY amount of people

I remember when in 2022 there was no like beggars
You could literally see Colby going slightly insane when he was alone in the basement without Sam. His eyes seem fully wide and open, like he’s fully panicking. It seems like Sam and Colby both rely on each other for this stuff.
And Colby's voice you could tell he was scared cause when Sam told him thru the walkie talkie that he saw a shadow at the window he was like stuttering a little

I'm not okay, I think my room is fricking haunted 💀 because my lights kept flickering and my door kept opening on my 'basement' and I sometimes see things and a figure staring at me, I'm probably hallucinating- and I always go to my basement because that's where I practice singing alone but I kept hearing things, I heard knocking, I thought my brother was messing with me but he was in my parents room- and I sometimes heard my name, I thought my mom was calling me but no 😀 I haven't told this to my family because I know they won't believe me, and this happened to me a few months ago since I got my own new room, and it still happening to me :) if you don't believe me that's fine, you don't have to believe me

I cannot believe the spirit box session with Colby and Seth. The sequence of “kill yourself, you owe me, Borden” gave me the f*cking chills. Poor Seth, it’s not his fault his crazy relative was an axe murderer. Good thing he didn’t stay the night 😂
Also, the Warren’s didn’t perform an exorcism on Carolyn Perron. They performed a seance in general at that house, and during that session Carolyn levitated in her chair and got thrown into the other room. After that, Roger went to go help her and the Warren’s told him not to touch her. That made Roger pissed, he thought Carolyn was thrown so hard that it could’ve killed her. He started yelling at the Warren’s and almost punched Ed in the face. The Warren’s left without closing the seance. The family lived there for years after that… spooky shit
