Tiger Territory/Tiger Trail. This short HD clip is of a mother Sumatran Tiger and her two babies. At the time of this filming the babies were about 5 months old. It is so wonderful to see the beauty of these animals and know that they are protected. They are on the Critically Endangered list because of environmental changes, poaching and loss of habitat. This is one of the smallest subspecies of tigers. Its lighter weight and shorter, darker coat are adaptations to its warm forest home. Due to over hunting and habitat loss, fewer than 300 remain in the wild.
Magnificent creature! 🥰
As a kid my late pop loved reading the African adventures of Teddy Roosevelt which created a dream of pop on an African safari. He never made it, but we did go down to this park several times including a nighttime ride looking down at two tigers prowling through heavy foliage. An adventure minus the bugs and humid heat of Africa. The park is east of Escondido.

Nice!
