3:16 UPDATE: this change seem to be implemeted, and the Wild Imp's cast time gone from 1.5 to 2sec. Thats a 33% nerf, and i can barely get to 30k now on dummy.

So a trick with controlling the wild amps that I've noticed. It's whenever you are targeting something that they'll go after, I've tested this a few times in dungeons and they only go after the things that I was targeting. Otherwise they would stay by my side.
Do you need any filler like shadowbolt or are you filling enough globals with guldan, mb and incinerate? Very well done guide hit meta card yesterday

If you can get jadefire corruption & corruption + shadowburn & twilight shock with the eradication talent you can run eradication REs, adjusted for uptime they each contribute to an avg 1.8-2.3% haste each. I stil dont have demonic persistence but I hit like 25k on dummies without any of the party buffs (1590 sp out of combat) & debuffs at 66 ilvl. The build also does ok in m+ but you need pyroclasm, seething flames, shadowflame, burning rush, devastation maxed for capstone, hellish pursuit and shadow and flame at a minimum.
I also have heating up+infinite burn with perilous pain & conflag which seems pretty good but the window to maintain the debuff on boss is very tight.

well, personally think that there should be no build that is focused on 1 skill (wil imps) and spamming brainlessly 1 button. Ascension is fantastic and they just simply foked up something within this build :D:D
True, im not much of a fan of 1-button builds aswell(looking at you sinister strike)
But this build has alot of good reason to press more buttons!
Immolate -> backdraft
Corruption -> Shadowpower
fel Meteor -> Crit
Shadowburn/shadowfury -> backdraft
Perilous Pain -> mobility
Rolled this spec and I'm still doing 40k on the dummies, and I only have 1/3 Empowered Imp and 4/5 Kindred Spirits and I'm missing Sinister Transfusion. Few things, tho: Spellstone is probably the weapon enchant u want, using SP main hand + off hand and the Master Conjurer talent, it gives 80 haste ratting, and more haste = more imps. For the combo points for pack tactics, I rolled lunar aspiration in combination with moontouched (although I'm not sure that applies to your imps) and that's probably the one you want, as it can be used ranged and doesn't kick you out of meta. I'm also using Nature's Swiftness but u need a shaman spell to trigger the CD or you can only use it once, for that I'm using Elemental Blast, because again, more haste = more imps. I don't rly see why you would want Shadowburn, as Mind Blast already triggers backdraft and it also triggers Demonic Persistence. I guess you can get the talent that makes it apply Corruption, but I'm not sure that's worth a talent slot. Totemic Focus and 4 totems is also amazing as it gives a ton of haste. I just wish I could roll Totem of Wrath instead of Magma Totem because I don't want to refresh it every 20s... I also wish I had Curse of Elements instead of Veil of Shadows for the same reason. I started with Life Tap and got Improved Life tap, but since I rolled Thunderstorm (wish it was Controlled Storm) and Dreamstate, which keep my mana up pretty well. When I have my totems out, pop Nature's Swiftness, my Elemental Blast procs haste and I have my (2/3) Backdraft up, my Hand of Gul'dan is under 1s. With Pack Tactics fully stacked, my regular Imp currently crits for 20k. My gear is far from ideal, though. I'm wearing 5set ele shaman which gives crit dmg bonus and that isn't doing me any good in this spec, but I'm refusing to make different gear sets for all my specs this season. Pretty sure I can break 50k if I round out some of my talents and get a gear set that actually benefits me.
I also didn't card incinerate but Fel Domination instead, I figured incinerate is easier to roll and far less important as you only use that during execute phase if u have Decimation and even then I'm not entirely convinced it's worth it. I guess it shortens your ramp to get 4 stacks of Demonic Persistence up, but I don't think it's worth carding at all. For the 6th talent card, I went with 5/5 Demonic Tactics.
Also worth noting: I didn't prestige this build, I got a new spec tome, so I didn't reroll anything while "leveling" but only did rerolls after getting all my 1-60 stuff. The downside to carding a bunch of 60 stuff is that you have to use a couple scrolls to roll the stuff you carded. Currently, I wouldn't be surprised if I'm close to 2000 rerolls on this spec, but it was already doing 20k+ after about 800-1000. I would also not start with Shadow Bolt or Immolate, they are virtually useless and there is no room in my rotation for them.

Do you never w8 for a Fel Domination to get off CD, with that much haste? That is allways the issue i run into
@@Heytrix Not really. There's a 2-3 second window where I'm waiting on Dark Domination, but I need that window anyway to do Mind Blast, Corruption, Veil of Shadows, Pack Tactics through Lunar Aspiration and Elemental Blast + Thunderstorm.
My rotation is pretty much like this: Have the imp out, Nature's Swiftness, make imp attack, ele blast, meta, hand x2, fel dom, Demonic empowerment, mind blast, hand x2, dark dom, hand x2, corruption, veil, lunar asp, dark dom, hand, mind blast, hand, fel dom, hand x2, dark dom, hand x2, ele blast, thunderstorm, meta, mind blast, dark dom, hand x2, fel dom, hand x2, dark dom, hand x2, mind blast, corruption, veil, lunar asp, dark dom, hand x2, fel dom hand x2, dark dom, hand x2, ele blast, meta, mind blast, ...
I almost never get it 100% right, tho, because as you can probably tell from this breakdown, my magma totem ran out and I forgot to renew it, and my pack tactics may also have fallen off and isn't stacking to 4.
If it's a short fight, I weave in 2 extra incinerates after the first 2 hands or something to get it to 4 stacks quicker. and if it's a really long fight, I'll try to weave in an incinerate every 10s or so for the extra 2 imps from decimation. I don't do that when I'm just hitting the execute dummy cause it kinda feels like cheating. I haven't done enough testing to know if what I'm doing is the exact optimal rotation, but it does well enough and I don't want to make my guildies even more jealous :P
I only use this spec on select fights where I know I won't have to move and it's okay for me not to switch targets. I also made your double down corrupted maelstrom build and that one is way more mobile while still doing almost 20k ST. It's not as fun to play as it was before they killed haunting strike, though, but it's still pretty fun and a lot more forgiving than this ADHD-infused spec. It has absolutely no cleave, though, so for fights where that really matters (I don't even switch for majordomo because I will kill myself on any other spec), I use my eclipse sunburst spec. Between those 3, I have something for every occasion: ST ranged -> imps, ST mobile melee -> pure chaos bolt, AOE ranged (and possible melee cause I have all the KotE stuff on it) -> eclipse sunburst. All 3 do over 12k ST and I use the exact same gear for all of them, even if it's not "the best": Ele Sham T1 shoulders, wrists, gloves, belt, pants and boots, M+15 chief architect's monocle, Barbed Thorn Necklace, Cloak of the Cosmos, Amalgam's Band, Magnus Ring, Pimgib's Collar, Flarethorn main hand, Blade of Necromancy offhand, Pyric Caduceus ranged, and a Insignia of the Dragon trinket. The gear focuses mostly on crit for my Eclipse Sunburst spec, but 30% of my crit goes to my imps anyway so my regular imp is at 90% crit and the wild imps are at about 50%. The reason I use the sword and not something like the Dirk is because 1 of my specs relies on sword specialization for hit rating, but I think I might be able to switch an RE on that one to get hit capped and then I can switch to the Dirk. I just really don't like comparing gear and figuring out what's best, especially when I feel like the difference is going to be marginal.
With my totems out, I'm at 87.70% crit fire crit (5/5 master demonologist), 173 haste, but I only have 1528 spell dmg (with enhancing totems and regular Demonic Pact + demonic knowledge). I have Wrath of air totem, Elemental Oath and Sanctified retribution. I've spoken to someone else who went SP over haste, and even though they have more talents rounded out, they do a tiny bit less DPS.
@@Heytrixhm, they changed something else that's not in the changelog... Struggling to hit 30k on the dummies now and I have more talents rounded out, putting my regular imp's crit at 100%. I really that. You have to invest so much in a build and then overnight it gets gutted and you don't even know what talent it is that's not dead weight...

Is Improved Shadow Bolt and Nightfall worth keeping for the 5% crit strike and instant cast Shadow Bolts whenever I need to refresh the buff?
If you see 5/5 improved shadowbolt, i think its worth to keep

I cant remember the name but look in the built in addon tab in the ascension launcher afaik the name was pretty obvious

I was thinking the same thing. If I get everything done perfectly i can touch 30k for a moment. But he just ripped 40k with a breeze.
@@emilcarlsson9268 what I think it is, is his spell power. Having a base of 2000 is so fucking high it’s absolutely boosting the fuck out of his dps. I’m at 1636 ( without demon int/sp buff which I have 3/3 of ) with 4 ascended pieces and all mythic raid pieces and he’s at 2000 base. I assume it’s twisted mind and his demon int sp scaling talent which I don’t have rn. What is your sp at?
I would have to look at talents to compare, because when you reach the "close to perfect". Its really the small talents, that really scales you up. %inc int + mind maatery and lunar guidance etc
With only int buff im 1934sp, and then i put flametongue totem + enchacing totem down. It takes me to 2004sp
Proccing Demonic Pact takes me to 2206
And then i get some from high risk enchant, so to 2346 SP ish
