- Welcome to the brand new Moxy Miami South Beach Hotel! Chris and Alex take you on a tour and give a review of the grand opening night at the newest Moxy hotel located right in the heart of Miami’s South Beach! Moxy Hotels are quickly becoming one of our favorite, more affordable, Marriott Bonvoy hotel brands. The Miami Moxy Hotel may be one the best affordable options for a stay on South Beach. Although, you are not located directly on South Beach, you're only a few blocks west. While you are in Miami you’ll want to be out in the sunshine so a walk, or a quick Moxy bicycle ride won't be a problem since you’ll be saving some serious money by staying at a Moxy Hotel. Compared to other Miami Beach hotels such as the W South Beach or Miami Beach EDITION the Moxy is a steal! If you prefer the pool over the beach, the Miami Moxy has you covered with two rooftop pools including a 72 foot lap pool with a unique porthole that gives you a glimpse of the natural Florida sunshine while you're in the lobby or at Bar Moxy. The Moxy South Beach has a second rooftop dip pool perfect for watching the sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean and South Beach, or watching the sunset over the skyline of the city of Miami.
If you aren't familiar with the new Moxy hotel brand, they meld together a modern pop culture aesthetic mixed with a private boutique vibe with a local flair! The Moxy Hotel brand is part of Marriott Bonvoy, and is a fun mix of a higher end, colorful destination W Hotel and a less expensive commuter, but still nice and clean Aloft hotel.
This new Moxy Miami South Beach hotel is located at 915 Washington Ave. in Miami Beach. The moment you walk into the lobby of the Moxy you are met with a fun and colorful vibe. To add to the fun you are provided free drink vouchers at check in! Just past the check-in area you’ll find one of the many bars at the Moxy. We found this to be the perfect place to enjoy our complimentary prosecco! The Moxy lobby also leads to a small courtyard with complimentary Moxy bicycles which are included with the resort fee. At check-in we were also advised that there was a Moxy Beach Club on South Beach where beach chairs were provided and also included in the resort fee.
We ate dinner at the rooftop courtyard Mexican themed restaurant Serena. The vibe was very Miami with twinkle lights, lush plants, vibrant colors, natural and sophisticated furniture with a DJ playing Miami themed music making you feel the party vibe that is South Beach Miami.
We booked a double queen bed guest room and were surprised to receive a partial ocean view. The room was very clean, brand new, but we were the very first people to stay there so that was expected! The Moxy brand rooms have a very industrial feel. Do not expect any closet space, instead you’ll have to utilize the hooks and hanger racks on the wall as you enter. The bathroom has a clean white tile aesthetic, with contrasting black fixtures. The shower is massive for the room size so no complaints there. When you enter the room’s living and sleeping space you realize how very small the room is compared to other hotel rooms. There is no dresser or media console so the lack of counter space was a real issue for Chris and Alex if you watch the review! There was only a tiny nightstand between the two queen big beds, and if there were more than two people staying in the room I feel like this would have been a real issue.
The rooftop aka “Upside” is one of the highlights of the Moxy Miami South Beach. Its colorful, beautiful, has a wide assortment of seating arrangements including couches, day beds, swings, wire seats that can go into the dip pool, and even a full dining table. There is a movie theater and incredible 360 degree views of Miami’s South Beach and the City of Miami. The Ocean breeze coupled with the dip pool and colorful Miami art deco inspired lounge atmosphere made this Upside rooftop the perfect place to hangout in the sun or even at night.
Between the Moxy Miami South Beach location and proximity to the beach, delicious food and tropical drinks, the rooftop dip pool and the large lap pool, you have everything you need at the Moxy Miami South Beach!

How do I get a deal for 200 a night?
It really depends on when you’re visiting and what promotions there are. You can also use Marriott Bonvoy points OR, even better, the Free Night Award that comes with the AMEX Bonvoy Brilliant card 🔑
Did they ask you for deposit? How much?
No deposit! You just book a room via the Marriott Bonvoy App. Marriott Bonvoy policy even allows you to cancel without any penalty within 24 hours prior to arrival. 👌
they require masks everywhere?
