Can be a bizarre place. My mother worked at the Weathervane long ago witnessing 2 drunk locals standing outside screaming at the out of town guests that they were all "Rich Jews, Romanists and communists " up there ruining their town . Some scary /dangerous people .One of the families of infamous Leopold & Loeb murders had a huge summer place up there .For awhile they had a former German Nazi who had served in the Nazi air force Richard Friske as a state rep . He was far far right wing & involved in some vigilante nonsense and wud happily tell everyone the world misunderstood Hitler who was actually good. The area also drew John & Patsy Ramsey who knew much more about their child 's death then they ever let on .Especially if Patsy did indeed murder the little girl .A hub of brain dead militia activity too. A French friend was pulled over for speeding by the local police who was surprised French people knew how to drive cars .
So the giant free parking lots that have more spots than paid. Also terry's is the same kitchen that makes the pubs food. You need to move if you cant do better than hate to sell things
I got a parking ticket as I was walking back to put more change in the meter, missed it by 2 minutes and they got me. Seemed a little aggressive during tourist season.
