    HoMedics should update their software and allow us to create our own designs or import our own designs…

    Mine downloaded the firmware as soon as I started the app, they must have improved that, maybe based on your comment!

    Hi. In your description you stated that the ball was moving as quickly as it can but this seems very slow. I have seen other clips for this unit where the ball is moving a lot faster but am now wondering if the uploader had sped the video up to give the impression of a faster speed? I'm not referring to the use of obvious time lapse.

    Has anyone has problems with their metal ball getting stuck? I've been trying for two days to get mine to work properly. It will start the pattern but eventually always gets stuck in the sand. I have tried resetting the device, different patterns and even removing some of the sand. I have tried multiple times to contact the customer support and the automated message says they are not taking calls and you cannot leave a message. Pretty disappointed at the moment, I got it as a gift for my birthday and really haven't been able to use. The lack of support for a $300 plus product is disappointing. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Which OS do you use to run the app and connect to the device? I have heard some complaints about the app not playing nicely with the Android OS. Thanks!

    Trying to sort out how to make a perfect end table out of this and so far thinking plant stands or even a planter. IDK yet. Wish more people were doing it though.

      I was considering a small and low end table from Ikea, but haven't gone for it yet. Something that holds the sides would be ideal so it cannot slide on top of hit by accident.

      @@ProductImpressions Hmm... think there is a fear of it sliding? It has some weight to it. But yea, I'd want it 'solid'. Yea, I'm hitting Ikea & Target soon.

    I have a curious question do you think with some trial an error it’s be possible to make some sort of stand to put the table at an angle so it’s slanted or would that mess with the magnet an the level of the sand

    • @ProductImpressions
      @ProductImpressions  Před rokem

      I think that would mess with the sand. You could probably have a slight slope, but over time, I could see the sand slowly drifting to a pool at the lowered side.

      There are two buttons on the side of the bowl. One of these can turn off the light without completely stopping it from running.

    How noisy is it?

    • @ProductImpressions
      @ProductImpressions  Před 7 měsíci

      It's fairly quiet. You can hear the ball being dragged through the sand, but there isn't anything else making noise. It's like an extremely quiet white noise machine, or waves so far off as to be barely audible when there is any other sound.

  • @rburn99
    @rburn99 Před rokem

    That ball moves way too slow. You'd have to come back the next day to see any design progress. I'm guessing the magnet is too weak to pull the ball any faster through the sand. Whatever the reason, this is way too long to see a desired design. And changing the design (assuming that's a thing) would be equally disappointingly time consuming. A constantly evolving pattern that you could actually notice without time lapse would be pretty cool.
