Caring for Charmeuse Satin:
-Hand wash or machine wash in cool water on low setting/ gentle cycle
-Air Dry item(s)
As a general rule, charmeuse can be hand washed with cold water and gentle soaps. It should be laid out flat or hung to dry, although clotheslined charmeuse should not be attached with clothespins, since they will leave marks. Charmeuse should also not be twisted or contorted while it is wet, because it may set permanent wrinkles in the fabric. Sulfate shampoo works great for hand washing the Ebonnets. - Jak na to + styl

Good video, Eboni! I place my satin accessories in the washer also, however I have king size satin pillow cases which I wash separately. I air dry of course. What brand of garment bag do you use? Do you still use the shampoo and gain when washing in the washer?
Hi. I got garment washing bag from Amazon. Its no name brand. It came in a pack of 5. Each one is a different size. I use the Gain to machine wash them. I've never added shampoo to the washer. Thanks so much for watching.
i use dr bronners baby unscented soap + water is that ok? this is my new bonnet and have to clean it once every three weeks

Hi girl please help me out. My mom washed the bonnet with hot water TWICE without my permission and now the satin doesn't feel so soft anymore. How can I know whether it's my bonnet that's causing breakage? As soon as I take it off I have a lot of flyaways and my dear virgin hair is already broken from the top and on.. Please answer. Buy a new one. You have to wash these with cold water
Hi. I’m just seeing this. I’ve never used hot water to wash my bonnets. I always recommend cool to warm water. However I don’t think washing it with hot water to cause the satin to break your hair.

Hi. I’m just seeing this comment. I see that happens a lot when ladies but their bonnets in the dryer. I always recommend air drying. You can send it in and I can repair it for you at no cost. I repair and ship back the same day I received it.

I personally try to clean them monthly
I use lukewarm water with liquid detergent then let sit for 15 minutes then I drain the sink , then caI put water and vinegar for 30 minutes
