I went into my hives today and found two hives I needed to split. One had a new Caucasian mated queen put in 3 weeks ago. Last week I saw some cells and knocked them down. This week I pulled the queen and let them replace her and I put her into a 5 frame nuc. The second hive was my strongest hive with a 2022 queen laying bricks. They had 8-10 capped queen cells so I took a couple of cells and put it into another nuc. Just in case I need a queen somewhere. I could not find her. Maybe swarmed?? Oh well, looks like this year is a good year to raise bees and not so much on the honey. Have a good day Dave.

Ya I have concluded that I may make a little honey but it's a growing bee season may as well lean in the the direction they(the bees) choose to take. Crazy bees need to read the books.🤣Blessed Days Russell...

Lush and green lawn ya got there!
Is the tiny bee a sweat bee?
Look them up, they're so bad ass looking.
    Chrome green!
A cool way to 'clean out dead bees' or just junk is----
    switch to a new box!
    Way easier & faster.

That is what the tiny bee reminds me of, when I was at Basic Training in Missouri they had those sweat bees and these look about he same. 👍 ya new boxes works great, Blessed Days clueless😂

Dave, can do something, please put a medium super with drawn comb on top of that colony and any that look like it .I believe they need room but not just brood chamber comb. Or maybe do just the one and look at it in five days..will give you knowledge of flow. Good luck

I'll did some changes today, I think I might have done what your talking about. I am keeping an eye on the bee population and adding supers over this week. Thanks for the input Shane, Blessed Days buddy...

I thought that bush was a Lilac but picture this says it is a Chaparral Whitethorn or Jackbush.

"It is probably my fault" - how long were you married? LOL Dave, you were doing everything right. Maybe the queens is dead or they swarmed but I doubt it. Queens can be very hard to find. THey can hide on the sides, jump frames and hide in cracks. I would wait two days and go back in and see if you can find the queen. I've never seen them swarm until the cells are capped a day or two or just before they are capped. If you find the queen in a recheck I'd scrape off the cells and see what they do next week. Your flow is so short it would be nice if you had that production hive for one more week.

I have actually never been married and very few serious relationships. Just as it was getting time for all that I got hurt.😂I just figure, there is a 50/50 change it's me so may as well lean into it.🤣
I actually broke that single up into two nucs and fed the excess brood and bees to two Sol colonies.
The video will post tonight, I went through the box 2 more times and didn't see any eggs except the few I had the previous day and in the swarm cups. I think she must have swarmed with a some of the bees right as we came out of the rain and I missed it somehow. I did some prearranging and we are rolling forward again. 1 less colony but making 2 queens in my side by side atm. So it is what it is. Thanks for stopping by Russell, Blessed Days...
