Sooraj Motorcycle 325cc Malayalam Review
Sooraj Motorcycle History : Sooraj Diesel Engine Motorcycle was developed by Saharanpur based Sooraj Automobiles in Punjab, India, also used the Lombardini 325cc diesel engine with Royal Enfield gearbox for their model. Unlike Royal Enfield Taurus, it was not mass produced. The company promoted their brand by claiming a fuel efficiency over 80kmpl and low price. Afterall, Sooraj is the first motorcycle in the country to feature an electric start. Kick starting a Sooraj Bullet or even Taurus requires some skill and patience. A careless kick starting may hurt your ankles or it may break your bones. Valve lifter in the engine makes it easier when kick starting. By raising the valve lifter, the exhaust valve opens up which helps to overcome the resistance generated inside the cylinder. Vibrations are one of the inseparable parts of Diesel Motorcycles. At idle condition, the bike often produces a slight amount of vibrations and it gets reduces as the motorcycle starts to move on. Sooraj Diesel motorcycle with a maximum power of 6.5 bhp and 200 kg of weight. Sooraj 325cc was designed around the heavy oil burning motor right at the onset. The frame is totally different and unlike the Enfield, the gearbox (albeit an Enfield Albion 4-speeder) sits separately from the engine, unlike in the Bullet where it is bolted to the power plant. Yes, the forks come from the Enfield and so do the wheels but this is a totally different motorcycle in the whole scheme of things.

സൂരജിനേക്കുറിച്ച് അക്കാലത്ത് വ്യാപകമായുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ആക്ഷേപം ഇതിലെ സ്ഥിര യാത്ര Heart ന് പ്രോബ്ലമുണ്ടാക്കുമെന്നായിരുന്നു. അതിശക്തമായ Vibration. പക്ഷേ നൂറിന് അടുത്തോ പുറത്തോ കിട്ടുന്ന മൈലേജ് ഒരാ കർഷണവും.
Nice....വണ്ടി പുതിയത് ഒന്നും വേണമെനില്ല. ഇതു പോലെ ഉള്ള വിഡിയോസ് മതി 👌
അക്കാലത്തു പല കമ്പനികളും ബുള്ളറ്റിൽ കൃഷിക്കുള്ള ചെറിയ waterpumpന്റെ ഡീസൽ engine വച്ച് സ്വന്തം പേരിൽ ഇറക്കിയിരുന്നു, അവസാനം RE തന്നെ ഇറക്കി തുടങ്ങി ഡീസൽ വാട്ടർ പമ്പ് engine വച്ച്...മൈലേജ് കിടു but acceleration ദയനീയം , പിന്നെ ഒരു മണിക്കൂർ കഴിഞ്ഞാ വലതു കാൽ ചൂട് കൊണ്ട് തന്തൂരി ആകും ,എന്നാലും മൈലേജ് കാരണം നോർത്ത് ഇൻഡ്യയിൽ ഒരുകാലത് പാൽകാരുടെ ഇഷ്ട വാഹനം ആയിരുന്നു ഇതു...

One of my friends had Sooraj Diesel bikes in 1980s..and I had the privilege to ride that then. This guy used to ply on his bike often and he was literally excited to ride on it. Although it was very much shaky; it was famous for its high fuel efficiency. Those times there was a Sooraj dealership near Pushpagiri church between Caritas junction and Thellakam junction on MC Road. That small building still exists on your right side if you head towards Kottayam from Ettumanur. Thanks for polishing my memory.

ഞാൻ ഇത് ഓടിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട് വർഷങ്ങൾക്കു മുൻപ്. പക്ഷെ സത്യമായിട്ടും ഇത് EI യുടെ ഡീസൽ മോഡൽ ആണെന്നാണ് കരുതിയിരുന്നത്. ഞാൻ bike ഓടിക്കാൻ പഠിക്കുമ്പോൾ ( 1984ൽ, JAVA) പെട്രോളിന് ₹12.50 ആയിരുന്നു വില. നന്ദി.
