Dan Explains It All - Blackcap

- AVAILABLE EXCLUSIVELY AT oldbloodnoise.com
Old Blood Noise is offering a harmonic take on their Whitecap dual asynchronous tremolo. The Blackcap retains the analog tremolo side of the original and takes the highly functional digital tap side into the realm of harmonic tremolo. Where before it turned your volume up and down, now it crossfades between your highs and lows. Mixed in parallel or series with the amplitude modulating tremolo, it’s a new aural experience.
Blackcap features:
An analog tremolo with rate, depth, and volume controls
A harmonic digital tremolo with rate, depth, and volume controls as well as tap tempo and five selectable waveforms
A series/parallel toggle to run analog into digital or both side by side
Volume boost available in each side
Expression jack for external tap control
Ramp mode to shift the speed up or down by holding the tap footswitch
Relay bypass switching and standard 9VDC center negative power
Blackcap will be exclusively available during the Black Friday-Cyber Monday weekend for $199 direct from Old Blood Noise at oldbloodnoise.com.

How much is it to have Dan explain other aspects of my life, not just guitar pedals?
$500 for five minute video
he isn’t licensed though
Old Blood Noise Endeavors At that rate, I can 50 dollars for 30 seconds. And then I will buy a blackcap, depending on if Dan said to. Not sure yet. That’s the thing.
takes a lot of hands to make these videos. no one works for free.
Yeah, Dan! How do you quit smoking?
Very Cool Pedal! Best Christmas present ever!
This is fantastic! Great work guys =)
thank you harry
Mine just came in the mail! Very trippy without giving me a headache... headache as in I do not understand how to work this. I can see spending hours doing a deep dive coaxing all the tones out of it but I had a half hour before work and was very happy with what I was able to conjure in very short order. Bravo!
that's great to hear, thank you
Please release new version with stereo input and output
heard
Hey guys, thanks for the live thing today. lots of fun, lots of cool sounds.
Dean Allen thanks for joining Dean! i think it was fun i hope you had fun let’s everyone have fun.
@@oldbloodnoise It was great, and I think I might get the Minim. watched that video waiting for you to come on.
Any chance you'll bring this cutie back in a broader release?
dunno if you are still interested, but they just did!
@@tommyrotts Yesss, I heard the news, but thanks for the heads-up! I've got the Whitecap half a year ago, so I'm already trembling like a chihuahua, still curious how the Blackcap will do, but I guess I'm good in terms of terms!
I genuinely can't distinguish the difference between this and the whitecap. That didn't stop me from ordering one to try it out hahaha 🤣
Let us know what you think
Hey guys - i have one of these and the sounds drops significantly on the series setting - even if volume is all the way up on both settings. Is this normal?
hey Drew, no that does not sound like a normal behavior. send us an email at repairs@oldbloodnoise.com and we will troubleshoot the issue with you, and if needed, will have you send it in for repair, free of charge.
@@oldbloodnoise y’all are the best.
Question, is the analog tremolo still volume based or are both the digital and analog sides harmonic?
Great question, only the digital side is Harmonic Tremolo
@@oldbloodnoise PERFECT!
How did you guys know I was in the market for a new Tremolo.....dang.
As you probably already know, a common problem with most tremolo pedal is a volume drop when activated; I've got an OBNE Whitecap and there's no volume drop... in fact you can dial up a volume boost. So guess whose putting a Blackcap in his cart.
that's what's up
kevotheclone
Black and White Caps, into separate Amps, now you now can do!!!!!!
I am a more than a bit jealous, of this possible sonic sculpture, you will now have the ability to create.....
With every company that makes another cool tremolo, digital, analog, or both!, I’m pulled right back into the market.
Though I’ve been very happy with my Subdecay Vagabond, which is analog Harm/Bias, and has the envelope drift knob, for ramping just as the Blackcap does.
I don’t have tap tempo, but I’ve never relied on it, so it’s no big deal. I’m really curious, as to what mine would sound like on the Analog Side of the Blackcap now.
@@CorbCorbin I just bought the Blackcap. I kind of forgot about Subdecay, I just checked out their web site again, and I' think I'll add a Subdecay pedal in 2020, thanks for the reminder!!!
Got mine today. I have to have both volumes maxed and there is still a huge volume drop. Not impressed...
sounds like there is an issue. email repairs@oldbloodnoise.com and we can help troubleshoot
I've been watching these without realizing Dan works for old blood lmao git ur own channel Dannel!
dan is ours. dan is us.
jesus!
just don’t see the practical use of so many choices, sides, switches when combining them diffuses the overall effect. way too subtle for me. way too fiddly for live for sure.
