I was there in Lvov in 2002 ... I was 5. I don't remember how far away I was, but I distincly remember a few things: 1. Huge blue plane coming straight out of the trees 2. We had turned (I assume to get out of the area) and I felt the most intense heat on my back 3. As we were walking out, I remember seeing parts of metal and some body parts (a leg). Tragic, very tragic

fighter jets , especially the Su-27 has very complex flight dynamics and become extremely unstable or stall without warning when performing certain maneuvers. A very clear indication that one engine has been out is the simple fact that thrust/weight ratio is 1.09 which means the sukoi can pretty much fly on its thrust vector.....clearly the aircraft that we seen in this video did not have all its power available.

A regular Su-27 doesn't have thrustvectoring. prototypes do have T/V. A twin-engine fighter has more than enough power to fly on one engine. It's more likely that he throttled back to avoid racing into ground, but then stalled because of too low airspeed and altitude.
I'm not into all that gore and accident footage but I made the mistake of watching the whole video. It's a scene of carnage that will evoke a viscerally harrowing feeling like no other...it will break your heart!

About 2 years ago I saw a longer version of this crash on CZcams showing the aftermath of injuries and death to the crowd. I wonder if CZcams removed it ? Maybe it was too grossed since it showed body parts on the ground.

I think there is a very clear failure in the side of the control in the plane. I think is called rudder, both sides are not static or pacing one with the other, the pilot tries to recover when is impossible to do and the crash happens. I think the stunt maybe is also dangerous so close to people, and well we cannot and MUST NOT trust machines so much. It is simple or more will die all the time.

In a way, it does look fake, even though this video is 100% real. The filming of the innocent children seconds before the crash... the reaction of the people as the plane came rushing towards them... the way the guy walks away from the crash with the bike... it all seems so unreal. But I guess that's the reaction people give when they see disasters like that. It takes them a while to understand what is happening. This video is so disturbing...

They did in the mid 80's in the UK no flying over the crowd... that SU-27 chopped up a load of people possibly ingesting a couple ughh, Notice nobody moved they all seemed to freeze ?
How horrible i am now terrified to go to air shows on an unrelated not not to down play the horror and tragedy this was or any other, but why is it every airshow disaster where someone dies is listed as the worst in history?
Sure brings up unpleasant memories of that disaster.

Holy Crap, that was insane. what a horrible thing to happen. at first I though this was fake untill i watched it a second time. the jet almost looks unreal just befor the crash but it is real. things like this are why airshows in the US have such strict rules about what manuvers to perform and where they can be performed.
@MrJerry196 I'm an EMT, I've seen more death first hand than I'd like to admit. Death is only fun to watch to those who haven't experienced it in real life.
This is the first angle that shows the ejection happen when the plane touches the ground. That shows me they tried everything they could to steer it away from the people. The pilot had no control or power of the aircraft.

I think there is a very clear failure in the side of the control in the plane. I think is called rudder, both sides are not static or pacing one with the other, the pilot tries to recover when is impossible to do and the crash happens. I think the stunt maybe is also dangerous so close to people, and well we cannot and MUST NOT trust machines so much. It is simple or more will die all the time.
