This week, we celebrate the 4th of July. We always throw a big party. If there’s one thing you should know about the Doan family, it’s that we love a theme and we love an excuse to get everyone together! Do you have any plans for the holiday?
Have a great and safe week. See you next time!
Have any questions for Jenny? Leave them in the comments and we’ll answer them next time! - Jak na to + styl
Natalie is my FAVORITE!!!! Natalie is soo so sweet. She warms my heart! Allen was a hoot. I confess I watched last Tuesday Newsday more than once because of Al! He gave me a reason to smile!. Wonderful kids Jenny!!!!!
I absolutely love watching you, Jenny and Natalie, when you get together. The love between you is so obvious and you have so much fun together! Thank you for all you are, share and do for the quilters around the world.
Natalie is precious. Good job raising those kiddos, Jenny
Love the idea of having each of your children share Tuesday Newsday with you. It would be wonderful to see all the familial driving forces in MSQC! Al was a hoot (I'm going to re-watch that), Natalie is calm and intelligent, it would be great to see the others.
I been a loooonggg time watcher when Jenny just started and started building and then the retreats she was having and how she brought Hamilton back to life I never comment but I have to say something if you have nothing good to say then just don’t click out and leave there is no reason to put a beautiful soul. As Jenny down trust me Jenny didn’t always have she is the woman she is today because she worked so hard at the beginning when she didn’t have a studio just this building that didn’t have anything in it and she made something out of that and has now revived a whole town and she truly has an amazing soul
My dad was in his 70’s he hiked the Appalachian trail twice both ways. Was inspiring.
I love Natalie! She is so easy going and calm. So happy to hear she loves hiking and getting out to nature. She's my favorite!!
I smile with these videos.😊 thank you for the Tuesday chats. I'm sure it brings joy to many who need it.❤
It's very special to see Jenny with her children!
You two are a hoot! I kept thinking Alan was going to hop in and defend himself😂
It brings me joy to see these ladies. Natalie Misty and Jenny are all my favorites
You’re so cute, sitting there near the end and both of your heads are tipped the same. You are mother and daughter. I love the idea of meeting each child and learning what they do in MSQC or out in the world. Today was a great Tuesday Newsday! 😊
I forgot to ask…are these sessions available after the first showing?
I love the idea of introducing your kids on Tuesday Newsday.
I love the swag bag! Full of really neat things! Can’t wait to see the new store! You and Natalie make a good team!,
Natalie is my favorite!! ❤️. Thank you for your tutorials and enthusiasm!! Five more months until the Christmas Box 🥰🎄
I loved Alan last week - each of the kids would be fantastic!!!
I love watching you two interact! Love to hear about what you are doing!
You ladies BLESS my soul, thank-you 😊
I absolutely love Natalie’s embroidery series! My grandma taught me years ago but I haven’t done it a while and the series has been an awesome reminder!
Big Canadian fan since the beginning. Love of Country is very important. Helping others shows your heart to all. The family will hold the fort until your mission is completed. I will miss your singing… lol safe trip.
Jenny your such an amazing person I hope that one day I’ll get to see your shops ❤
I have 11 siblings and understand about big family dinners. We usually rent a hall for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We are big into games also. Loved seeing Nat, she is amazing! When asked if I have a favorite, I always say it's the one I am with right now!
You ladies are such a joy! Beautiful too❤️❤️
I just love hearing about your lives.❤ Your family is amazing.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I wish I could see your parade. The Doan gang is a cool concept!
Will miss your smiling face in front of the camera, Jenny. Love seeing all of you in your videos and learning from you. Thank you both (and Misty, too) so much for the love and grace and stitching goodness. Warm hugs! -Sally from MO
Wow, so much creativity in one family! You've done a great job Jenny!
such a beautiful family. i wouldnt know what to do with such a large family, but it seems like the best type of family and the most fun. Jenny, you and Ron have done an amazing job with all your babies.
Jenny, you're looking so well, how I envy your large family, its just me, 2 kids and 2 grand kids who are now 22 and 19. So a family dinner would be 7. But I count my blessings. Greetings from the UK 🇬🇧 Happy 4th July. 🎉
I just realized that we may not have triple play videos for much longer 😢. Will Natalie and Misty do double plays?
Love Tuesday news day!
We do enjoy Natalie. It is wonderful to see her light shine!! However, I do enjoy Jenny & Misty very much as well. I was blessed to meet Jenny & hubby at the Panguitch Quilt Walk several years ago.
Love you both you’re very fun to watch🎉
Love seeing Natalie with you
Looking forward to seeing Jenny at the UK Festival of Quilts. Learnt so much from watching your videos and can’t wait for your presentation. Will be fun ❤❤
Love to watch you and you4 lovely family Jenny💕
Loved Nat's tiny house quilt, so made a 4x4 wall hanging using charms from Edyta Sitar's Cocoa Blue collection. It turned out adorable! Thanks, Natalie!
I loved Alan! He was so fun!! Your July 4th party sounds fantastic!
You have a beautiful family!
What wonderful plans. I wish I could travel and be there for the Birthday Bash. Utah sounds like a beautiful trip. And the 4th of July is my favorite Summer holiday when I was a kid. In our hometown it was 5 days of rodeo, breakfast in the park, the parade with floats, marching bands, cowboys, the Mexican Caballeros and Senoritas in beautiful costumes all on horseback with elaborate saddles and tack. Then, of course, the huge firework display and dances on the fourth.
I can relate to having large groups with just the immediate family. People are amazed that one event with us means 30-35 people. It’s normal for us.
When I was a kid, all the aunts & uncles lived nearby. When we all gathered for family events it meant aunts, uncles, cousins plus often a few others. 30+ was normal. Always a “planned potluck” or something similar so no one had too much to do. If it was a picnic everyone brought their own meat to grill. Usually dessert was home cranked ice cream. The kids started turning the crank, littlest to biggest as it got harder, then one of the dads would finish it off. You had to turn the crank at least once to be allowed to help lick the dasher. Easter was a big family Easter egg hunt, always on Saturday because everyone was busy Sunday. All the adults were deeply involved in the music at their churches. Food for Easter was potluck sandwiches, deviled eggs made from the eggs that got broken during the hunt, salads & ice cream. Such wonderful memories.
I know the feeling. I just have to inform two people in my family to spread the word and I have a 70 person get together! No caterers in my budget.
Natalie takes after her mom! I love watching them. I live about an hour from Missouri Quit Town! We go often. Husband tells me to give him a heads up so he can save up! With about 13 stores and I have to visit them all at least once!
Thank you so much. Enjoyed watching.God bless you.🙏💜💜💜
Jenny, red is your color, keep wearing it. Natalie always wonderful to see you with Jenny
Agree Natalie’s creativity is amazing I do appreciate her teaching style. However you ALL are amazing at your craft. Thank you for your quick tips and ways to do things better quicker etc. love your creative mantra, What If?

We love all you girls! You all bring different gifts!!
Allan is a beautiful person and I really enjoyed seeing his personality. The show was so funny.
Today, 2nd, is my 79th birthday, and I found your chat very cheerful. Thank you. Lord Bless
Happy birthday 🧁🎂🧁
50's theme Birthday Bash... Cool... I would love to see Misty, Nat, and Jenny in Poodle Skirts and Saddle Shoes. Hmm now I want to watch "Grease", :)
You 2 are just fun! ❤ as is the whole family!
My husband was one of 6 and we normally his parents house was like a mad house. I miss that so much! Crazy but so much fun!
Natalie you look so good and are a good teacher
So excited for Birthday Bash! Three of use coming that would love Natalie’s 5k idea! And I would love to hear about her hike afterwards!
Running With Scissors would be a cute name for the 5k
I love how you get along! What a fun family!
I had missed last week's Tuesday Newsday so I just went back to watch it. I was laughing out loud in a few spots (especially "awhatagooseIam". I even backed it up so that my husband would hear that part. I agree that it would be nice if the other 5 children (or as many as can be fit in before Jenny & Ron leave for Africa) had an episode with Jenny. Take care. P.S. I have done Igrid's Wildflowers which I have turned into two "door" quilts. I am now doing another 8 blocks for a wall hanging. I enjoy working on them while we watch ball games in the evening.
We will all miss you jenny we all love your work
Natalie you are my absolute favorite And you are so pretty today. You both look like you're having a good time.
Love to hear your family news , what great memories
I was so proud l hiked the width of the AP earlier this year. Loved it!
I loved Allen. He was so cool. I love Natalie.
Can’t wait for garden of quilts. Hope to see you there.
Makes me wish i came from a large family, sounds like FUN!
Jenny, I literally just finished reading "Grandma Gatewood's Walk" by Ben Montgomery. It's the story of Emma Gatewood, "the woman who saved the Appalachian Trail." She walked the trail when she was 67 years old. Then she walked it twice more! Very inspiring book.
I love seeing Natalie she's so nice
Hi ladies! What another fun video! I ordered my Swag Bag last month!! I can't wait to see my goodies 🥰🥰
Natalie, it seems like you are coming out and more confinement. enjoying you as you relax and help us Fools learn :)
i would love to have you come visit. i’d show you all around Lake Tahoe, and just visit. whether we talked about quilting or the Beauty! we would have a blast and it would be a nice break for you!
Hope you get to do the AT! It is so worth it! I thru hiked in 2016, did a small section in 2018 and plan more.
Natalie is your counter-balance to Allen. All kids are individuals. ❤
Love watching y'all! I wish I could come to B/day Bash.
Natalie I love your personality. I could hug you. I need to visit someday from Wentzville...it's not that far. I'm a new quilter and learning embroidery....lol 😂
I just can't envision Missouri star without Jenny😢❤
Lots of backpacking this morning 😂😂
Yes we love Natalie and Jenny!
Please give us a link to purchase this year's swag bag. Thanks!
Happy Independence Day! I will be in Lehi also. I can't wait!
Love Natalie!
My cousin’s daughter races go-karts! She is a real GO-GETTER!😅
My husband is #3 out of 17 children and I am oldest out of 9, so I can relate to large fun filled, belly laughing times. 12:18
Would love to hear more about your planned hike! I've done the French Camino, Portuguese Camino, and the Thames Path...all after turning 60! Hope to start another Camino for my 70th birthday!
Beautiful video ladies!! I’m anxious to see Friday’s video!! I have several jelly rolls I’d like to use.
I want that quilt for 4th of July....really.
I would love to know more about your creative process. I'm lucky if I get a quilt done in a month, yet you put out a new one every week.
Thanks for all the personal informationI I enjoyed this session sooo so much...I'd love to hear about all the ways or how the kids met their partners in your big family. I love LOVE!
Sew much fun 🤩
I’m about 3 miles from the Appalachian Trail! I used to hike about a mile up it to work in the local fire tower!
Where and when can I purchase a swag bag? I'd looooove to have one as I'm from Germany and it was impossible for me to get one in the past 😢
We just had our family reunion. There were 81 in attendance. 80 missing.
It's so odd, I never heard our region pronounced "Appa-lay-shun" until I was an adult. Everybody here pronounces it "Appa-latch-un". I just wonder where the alternate pronunciation came from. Anyway, glad you got to walk part of the trail! Always enjoy hearing about your family's adventures. Have a great 4th!
Alan and I would get along so good! But neither of us would get a word in edgewise! We both seem to be talkers!
Natalie... Running with scissors for the run!!
I got mine last week
Natalie, where are you hiking? Is it with a group? Love having you both on together.
I love watching Natalie's quilting videos. I learn new ways to do things. The embroidery doesn't interest me as much even though I can do embroidery. I also crochet and needlepoint. ❤
Is it Jenny on her own at the Festival of Quilts meet and greet event or are any other family members going to be there? Will she have Ron with her? I’ve got tickets for it and can’t wait. It was Jenny on CZcams who taught me how to quilt! I’ve followed her since the beginning.
Hey, I got a huge kick out of Alan last week. Of course, my late husband's name was Alan so he had that in his favor, but he was pretty fun
I couldn’t find the swag bag, just found a tote. Help!!
I hope you post a video of the sword fight! Happy 4th!❤
Who are the best cooks in the family?
How about a song titled for the run coming up from Natalie, in the birthday bash? 'Runaway' by Del Shannon. I know it came out in 1961, but it fits.
