  • A quick comparison video of two top models of thermal imagers: InfiRay Eye E6Pro and Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 Pro. Both units have similar technical specs, but each unit approaches image quality from its own perspective.

    Thank you for the review. Good Comparisions without trying to sell one over the other.

    Good review , the Pulsar is a far more refined product with magnesium housing, better build over plastic, faster software, multiple gain modes also in the field a replaceable battery unit is a must, another unique feature is the ability to change lens size if required and the mounting points are better also for neck strap options . E6 is a throw away device when the battery is defunct out of warranty unless you use trailing cables and power banks ..

    Very good review. Thanks! From the video it looks like the image in the Pulsar was way better in many perspectives. Plus the battery "thing" is another factor, not to mention the software and upgrades.

      Thank you Mr. Night Vision Viking for your kind comment. I didn't really wanted one unit to look much better than the other. Just trying to be objective. But you are right, Helion thermal imagers have a lot to offer...

    Outstanding Video ... i was about to purchase the Infiray Eye E6 Pro V3 because of the affordable price and specs but when i watched your Video , Dennis Wilber , i changed my mind to back to my initial choice the Pulsar 2 XP50 Pro ... but it would be interested to watch a comparison of the FLIR Scion PTM 466 vs the Pulsar 2 XP50 pro...

      Thank you for your comment. I can try to get FLIR, but my dealer does not deal with it. I cannot promise. But it could be an interesting test, you are right.

    On Infiray website catalog. It says that there's picture in picture option available on V3

      Yes, that is true. This is shown in the video - time 1:38. "What you see" is the footage from V3 recorded via the eye piece. That means that you can actually see Picture in Picture in the eye piece, but it is not recorded when you make recording with your E6Pro V3 unit, instead you record digital zoom. This is probably because E6Pro does not record overlay and Picture in Picture is an overlay mode in the unit. This is ok, but if you want to show you picture in picture recording from Iray to your friends or share it it will be difficult. I spent some time trying to catch more or less good quality image via the eyepiece. I like here Helion 2 PRO more, because it records everything that is on the screen. Another difference that I didn't mentioned in movie is the video file framerate 25Hz in Eye 6Pro V3 and 30Hz in Helion 2 PRO.

    Is there a interphase software needed when transferring recorded date from this unit to a computer

    • @denniswilber498
      @denniswilber498  Před 2 lety

      No, in case of Pulsar you just connect it to PC with Micro-USB cable and select "Use as memory card" in the unit, after that you will see additional drive "Pulsar" in "My computer". Same with X-Eye unit - you can connect with USB cable and download recorded files.
