Limping in dogs IS a sign of pain. Resting him was definitely the right call! (Vet tech of 20 yrs here)
We got the snow on Monday. Being in "the South" we were not prepared in the least for what we got hit with, about 8" and most of it ice underneath. That kept me at home all week because I live in a hilly area that never gets treated. Anyway, I hope the weather wasn't too bad for you and that your pup gets better. New sub, loving your content! Take care!
We had 3 inches with ice on the top. Tennessee does not do snow very well. We still have ice in some spots but it is slowly getting better.

Thank you!! 🥰 he stopped limping after a day or two of rest and we’ve just kept an eye on him now! We might take him to get checked out tomorrow just in case but he’s been his normal energetic self since 😊

I hope your dog feels better soon! They are both so beautiful. You seem very attentive and you know a vet so this may be totally unnecessary to say but in case it is something you haven't thought about I thought I'd mention it. One of my dogs once started limping and we couldn't figure out what it was. It was her only symptom. We took her to the vet and after bloodwork it turned out to be an illness caused by a tic she had gotten at some point during her 3 years alive. Apparently it can come at any point after and doesn't have to debut as soon as they get the tic. I cannot remember the name, it was a very long time ago now and I've heard they've changed the name of the illness since then. But if you know a vet I'm sure she knows what I'm talking about. My dog was fine after treating it, I think she just had antibiotics maybe. It was 15+ years ago though so my memory isn't very good. Also I live in Sweden so can't be sure there are tics with this where you live. But just in case your dog doesn't get better and you are trying to figure it out and just maybe this is something you haven't thought about. I hope it's okay to say. Hopefully he has just strained it or twisted his paw when walking or slept funny or something and he will be fine soon again though!

My dog started limping so we took him to the vet. He had lime disease. Had to take antibiotics for a month.
Oh no!! We took him in to get checked out just incase and he is all good now but that’s good to know!
My mastiff licks her paw raw sometimes to the point the pads come off. If you see that I use liquid bandage to get get her to stop and it heals
Ohh good to know! We think it could be his paw being really dry because he gets bad allergies on his paws but I will remember that!
Oh! Forgot to tell you, I wanted to try the jade face stone thing so I ordered me one. I don't even have sinus problems or anything but after using it for the first time I had to spit out a big loogie (sp?) Sorry if that's TMI. 😂 That thing does do something tho!
Omg right!? There are times I wake up in the middle of the night with congestion and I just quickly use the stone and it helps so much! It blows my mind every time 😂

He was better after a couple days but we took in him just to be safe and they said he is good and nothing to worry about! It was probably a slight strain or sprain and he is doing so much better after resting 😊
