I suppose because of poor song choice by the coaches in the late stages of the show like Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus or an old boring song like Heaven by Bryan Adams. Every time Matthias chooses a song, it is a fantastic performance. I was too surprised that he did not win. Total trash.

I think there were obvious bad song choices that both times he didn’t get to the finals. Wrecking ball wasn’t for him, and Heaven I’ve always felt it like a downer. It’s so sad, there is no The Voice contestant that have capture my attention as him.
He's not the winner in both season. But he's the true winner. He's already have real singer's voice. He should had debuts for his incredible voice

Why did this guy not win on 2 seasons. Unbelievable. He is incredible and will always be my champion. I'm actually shocked. His voice range from rock n roll to high note love songs is incredible. He's so comfortable onstage, and he makes hitting them crazy notes look easy. I honestly can't believe he did not win. Travisty.

Matthias is sooo amazing! We come back to watch all of his songs every few months. So wish he would put out an album or 2 or 3. I’m a Grama and grew up through all of the old great rock. All of our old rockers are dying. We need a new breed. Today’s music is not even music. We need singers like Matthias to keep real rock alive. Love you, wonderful young man.
