    Just got the full 480 kit. Wireless scales and psychs. Everything paired to the sman and the app flawlessly. Excited to test out have to recover some 410 from a family members unit

      Happy with them so far, I have the Joblink probes now also - nice to have both for different calls.

    I’ve used JB, YJ, and Testo gauges and hose less Bluetooth kits. My go to IS Fieldpiece Smans and Bluetooth gauges. My new SMAN 380v’s will be here next Monday. We’ll see if they last 12yrs like my old SMAN 4’s. I use those daily and part time my SMAN 460’s, but I want the wireless gauges to build up my system. I’m going to try both the wired and wireless clamps. I just wish fieldpiece made a 1-5/8” wireless clamps.

    I bought the sman 460 in 2014 and just last week that hook on the back broke off........after it broke the suction side stopped working..........Today I received the new sman 480 and I hope it last just as long as the other one.....I am really happy with the sman product from fieldpiece

    • @scrambler350
      @scrambler350  Před 2 lety +1

      That's really the only issue I ever had with the SMAN460 - the dang hooks would always break off and have to be sent in to be "repaired" (replaced)....really love my 480v because they listened to customer feedback and beefed-up the hook PLUS they added that ODDB sensor - it's nice to be able to see the exact air temp going into the condensor right there on the screen.

  • @johne.meyerconstructionser7507

    congrats brother! enjoy it-use it and we expect a review video in 30days k ty

    • @scrambler350
      @scrambler350  Před 3 lety +1

      It's exactly what I wanted from the SMAN 460 when I first bought it....they fixed the hook that would always break and added an ODDB thermocouple (plus made it more weather-proof).
      The bluetooth connection to the app makes it nice to screen cap info to refer back to instead of having to try and snap a pick of the screen without getting a glare.
      Calibrating the clamps is easier now too - digital instead of adjusting little rheostats with a screwdriver.

    Your gonna love the new manifold Mike 👍 I just bought the SMAN 380V & it's great, definitely worth it. 👍 Stay safe out there 😷

      Did you have any issue connecting to the app...?
      My Note 8 doesn't seem to be able to find the SMAN.

      Will trutech warranty them out if something happens? I wanted to order them off the website because my supply wants almost 150-200$ more then what trutech will charge. Do you know?

    I'm so surprised they didn't add rechargeable batteries inside some gauges like this smh. Especially in today's day and age we surpassed the idea of changing batteries, everything now and days that are digital and expensive comes with a rechargeable battery inside the device

    thanks for this video, just wondering do we need to do the calibration for this sman480 ? ? or we can use it right out of box. thanks

    • @scrambler350
      @scrambler350  Před 3 lety +1

      Mine was good to go out of the box, but the clamps and sensors are adjustable - I try to always make sure mine is open to atmosphere on both sides and zeros-out before hooking up to a system.

    my sight glass has some clear oil in it, I not certain if it belongs there or if it's from my vacuum pump. I filled it with alcohol a few times to try to wash it out, and blew 300 psi of nitrogen to try to flush it out, do yours have this oil in there? is it supposed to be there?

  • @nooloo3000
    @nooloo3000 Před 3 lety +1

    I'm a student and I am looking at one of these on Craigslist and I'm trying to figure out if it's working or not compared to just using a meter with a temperature gauge and an analog set of manifolds

    • @scrambler350
      @scrambler350  Před 3 lety +1

      I like using both (analog and digital), these are nice when troubleshooting or setting up a system because you can see Superheat and Subcool instantly and at the same time...they also bluetooth to your phone so you can see the information while up in the attic or inside the house - I like to screen cap pressures and temperatures at the end of calls to refer back to later(I keep my photos chronologically organized).
