Pernille Blume who was in the second video wanted to record a 50 free time and purposely sprinted the first lap and she didn’t care about the 100 in the 2018 European championships
It’s not she blacked out, she made an Instagram live about it afterwards and apologised
@@kaiweeks3132 this is not true. This is what actually happened. So post-race, Blume said that she wanted to beat Sjostrom’s winning 50m freestyle time of 23.74 from the individual event here, while still making the 100m free final. In that 50m free individual race, Blume took silver behind the Swede in 23.75, just .01 behind. She was really close to swimming a faster time then Sarah Sjostrom who got first place in the 50 free event. Therefore she wants to beat Sarah Sjostrom’s winning time. This was why she went out so fast.
I wouldn’t say bosquet went out too fast. Bernard and Cielo flipped right with him and Bosquet ended up medaling anyway. I’m surprised Bernard’s anchor swim didn’t make the list. His first 50 split was under the 50 free world record time
I am not considering relay swims because we all know relay exchange Improves your time. But yes Bernard's 50 split 21.27 was fast.(50 free wr- 21.28 in 2008 )
I think Cate Campbell in 100 free rio 2016 olympics. She turned at 50m in first place below the world record and then came 6th at the end of the race.
Nobody gonna talk about how she did a wall turn at 1:21
LOGAN codm-YT, in that race she did actually tried to break the world record at the 50 freestyle, in the 100 freestyle, which is why shy did a wall turn
Oh boy Vladimir morozov was flying on his first 50m 😲😲🔥🔥🏊♂️🏊♂️
yeah pretty much equaled his best time considering his russian record in the 50 later that week was only 0.44 faster, which is roughly the difference between a touch turn and a flip turn
Michael Andrew in every race
Cavic and morozov on another level for sure❤️🔥
Love the content
Love the music! The content!!
What about Michael Andrew's 200 IM?
Laughs in Michael Andrew
This is good idea for video but really poorly performed. 5 wasn't out that fast, still got a medal in the end, 4) was abviously trying to clock a good 50m time and not really swim the 100m meter., which she did. 3 litterally broke the WR. You might as well have put in Peaty if that was gonna be your logic. 2) is maybe a particularly unspectacular example of this idea. He did take it out blazing, but that was just his way of swimming. Not sure if he would've won anyways. 1) is an ok example, but not really spectacular.
You didn't even ad santo condorelli, like wtf.
Vladimir morozov's first 50 split was 🔥
Good stuff 💪
Nice video
Amazing
Cavic was a beast
Micheal Andrew 200 IM
Leon Marchand could make the list too. The only difference is that he is so far ahead that he still wins. However he goes pedal to the medal from the start and dies in the freestyle portion of the IM.

Civic winner
U inspire me
i wouldn’t agree with the bousquet one tbh
could’ve had sjosteom at 2017 worlds, cate campbell at rio, plenty more
yeah all the medalists in that final turned together and bousquet was only 0.10 off his best time from 4 months prior.
lilly king didn't fade either. she actually broke the WR by outsplitting the entire field in both 50s, so at no point was the field ahead of her.
cavic is debatable. he still did a best time that is still very competitive today (despite equaling his 50 fly gold medal time lmao) and was silver at only 0.13 behind phelps. while phelps did make up a lot of ground, there have been more spectacular pianos than cavic in that race. rebecca soni's 200 breast at 2009 worlds is one example that is more deserving than most races in this video
Lilly King
Good ! But music
First🤟
this is a really dreadful video.
Honourable mention: santo condorelli🙏

What race is that? Can anybody tell me?
