- Bruce Dickinson performing Gods of War, The Alchemist, Darkside of Aquarius, and an encore of; Navigate the Seas of the Sun (for the first time ever), Book of Thel, and The Tower live from The Mandrake Project Tour at The Observatory in Santa Ana on April 15, 2024. This was shot with a Sony Cyber-shot RX100 VII, externally recorded audio mixed with on-camera audio. This is part 3 of 3 of the full show.

Innit, the chemical wedding is one of the finest albums ever conceived, and the link between the title track and how it flows back into the alchemist is truly sublime

Gods of War is great. All 3 songs in the set from Balls to Picasso are killer. That’s such an underrated record.
25 years after it's studio release, I finally get to hear The Alchemist live. It seems that Bruce has not aged a single day.
That drummer is the perfect fit! :) A good mix of rock and metal juice. Bruce on top, great band, all fine!

It was, but would have loved to have heard something from Tattooed Millionaire, like Son of a Gun. All in all, a great concert and so glad I went.

Bruce sounds very great here :-) Gods of War is a song I always liked a lot. Balls to Picasso is a great album.

How is this man so freaking amazing? 70-year-man who is a qualified airline pilot, championship level fencer, author of multiple books, beer brewer, movie maker, and frontman to Iron Maiden, just did this on the side for fun. Oh, and he kicked throat cancer and somehow sounds better than most singers ever.

Don't know if there's time for a real US leg of the tour before the big Maiden tour later in the year, but hope they come to SLC if so! Or hell, I'd road-trip to Vegas or Denver to see this.
He said during the show that there will be a US tour early next year after the Maiden tour.

Well at least he doesn't need a teleprompter like Rob is using for several years now. It's been a while since he setting those songs, and I don't have the feeling Bruce sat down for long to study the lyrics 😂 I'm glad he's still singing and jumping around on the stage

Battery goes out quite quickly on that camera, huh? right in the middle of my favourite song, The Tower. Jeez.
It lasts about 45-50 minutes. When recording the whole show, I don't always have an opportunity to swap it out between songs when it starts to run low.
Bruce sounds great. But the guitars sound sloppy, don't do the songs justice.
The setlist is great, Bruce sounds awesome but the band doesn't do it for me. They sound like a cover band with Bruce on vocals.

I just can not help myself, but I do not like the band (except for the rhythm section, omitting the false singing of beautiful bass player). Bruce is awesome, as always...
Great concert, but The Tower was hard to enjoy. That out of tune sound, Bruce got lost, and the guitarist's poor performance in that solo that isn't even the most difficult.

Adrian's solos are miserably played, omg, that was horrible to watch, especially in The Tower, can't even play in tempo after solo. Clearly haven't practised together and rehearsed enough.
I dont think much of the guitarist to bruces left. Maybe hes having an off night here as the footage i saw of the whisky a go go wasnt too bad but here... Good lord.
I think he's good. His guitar was just very loud in the mix here, so all of the little mistakes are very noticeable.
Yeah his guitar was so much more forward in the mix than the other one. I felt bad every time every little imperfection was so noticeable because of that. Everything was magnified. Someone said Bruce is using Maiden's usual sound guy. I think maybe he's just not as used to mixing for small rooms instead of arenas and stadiums.
@@TheRealConcertKing I think you may be right there. Tbh it's all rock n roll isn't it, if we all want perfection then we should just listen to the records instead. Some could argue that maiden play it too safe nowadays and this is what it's all about, warts and all, so I don't judge too harshly
