"For your items you always want..." With Kai'sa there is no always. The core of her identity is adaptation, this is true of her items as well.
There is never a true always for any champion played optimally. But if you start learning Kasia, you can't go wrong with Kraken PD
@@MissFortuneDaBes You're not wrong that it's the most universally useful build. Usually if I have no idea what I need that's what I default to.
Kai'sa can play differently, but in most situation she gets more out of Kraken PD for a reason.
Kraken uses her atk speed boost effectively and increases the damage output, PD allows her to kite more effectively and capitalize on her, again, E spell ti get out of bad posizions.
I like other builds (Hybrid Kai'sa best Kai'sa), but it's undeniable that she has an optimal start.
Simply by having Q and E upgraded you get a lot more fighting options.
Good video overall, however, I disagree with these items. PD 2nd especially, it sounds good on paper but it just seems to make you hit like a wet noodle, and not just on Kaisa. It's too easy to itemize against the pure crit build with the randuins change and jak'sho being more popular.
Her on-hit build has been insanely strong for some while, but it especially is now with the the current tank/bruiser situation. Kraken Slayer first as usual these days. Botrk OR Wits End 2nd WILL get her Q evolve so you can take either 2nd depending on the enemy comp. E evolves after boots are upgraded to the Attack Speed boots. For the 3rd item Rageblade is the highest damaging item here and a major spike point. At this point in the game if the enemy team wasn't already prioritizing you as public enemy #1 they will be now because of your damage. For our 4th item we have a couple options: you can take the other item you didn't choose 2nd, either Botrk or Wits End. Or unless they have multiple high hp targets then LDR 4th is also perfectly fine here, just bump the Botrk or Wits End to 5th in that case. Speaking of 5th and 6th you can tailor to your needs but good general options include LDR (if not taken earlier), BT, GA. Feel free to correct me on this but from testing last season this was her highest dps build and is the hardest to itemize against.
The reason I don't include Nashor's is because Wits End actually out damages it due to how Kaisa's abilities scale better with AD than AP and it still gives her Q evolve when taken 2nd with Kraken Slayer. Wits End also gives you survivability and better positioning with the magic resist and movespeed. However, if you're team is more AD orientated then Nashor's is fine to pick up in the 5th or 6th slots and will still synergize with the build.

I am, by no means, a Kaisa expert, but I think that instead of Infiniy Edge, you should go Navori (if they dont change anything). Someone whos knowledge of LoL is way wider than me did the maths and in DPS, I think Kaisa is better with Navori than IE, and it also allows you to have Q and E faster (when you reach this point in game is when W is not THAT important, only for picks or backline).
Your damage will always be higher with IE, but NQB has more utility. I personally prefer IE, which is why I listed it as example
navori is technically stronger in certain situations but IE fulfills the role better, ADCs arent supposed to do the most damage at once, or even per second, they just have very consistent damage with their auto attacks. IE supports that better imo because even if you are dogshit at the game or you are CCd (like root or ground) you still do consistent damage without relying on your abilities
@@MissFortuneDaBes Navori doesn't just reduce your cooldowns. It also increases the damage of your abilities by up to 20% depending on crit chance. I think having more uptime on your abilities (especially E) is more valuable than IE's boosted damage. Keep in mind that Kaisa's aa already reduces her E cd, which can be further exploited by Navori. You can get damn near 100% uptime on E in the mid/late game, which the extra utility will matter when you're getting dove by bruisers and tanks. The trade off in damage between IE and Navori isn't as high as you think it is.

I have 1mil pts on Kai'Sa. I can never get bored of playing her.
Optimal Kai'Sa build is:
Kraken -> BotRK -> Wit's End/Rageblade/Black Cleaver (for 3+ frontliners) -> situational items (stuff you didn't pick from the previous list, LDR/Mortal Reminder etc.)
PD is good, but the full crit build is simply inferior to the on-hit build until you hit 4-5 items.
Navori Quickblades is also better than IE in most situations. You lose a bit of damage, but you can spam your abilities and outplay even harder. You don't pick Kai'Sa because of how many crits you can apply to the enemy, you pick her because of her ability to burst enemies with combos and outplay skillshots. Navori suits that playstyle better.
If you're going to force crit, the build would be:
Kraken -> PD/BotRK -> NQ -> LDR/Mort/Essence Reaver -> situational buy
