I still work for a tow truck company on the side Matt. You may want to check into AAA plus with all the driving you do. It will cover you for a 100 mile tow, lock outs, flat tire change Jumpstarts and gas (2 gallons usually). I pay for it for my kid cause she is always traveling cross country. Peace of mind. The first year we used it on a 100 mile tow. She was almost home ! Plus it covers any car you are in. So if you are with your dad it would cover his car.

its a no brainer due to cost as well. once you're a member for X amount of days they have an option for 300 mile range.

@suedefringe is spot-on. AAA Plus for the absolute win! I drove for AAA back in college. I’ve had AAA Plus ever since. It’s all of $86 dollars and you can use it on anyones car, as long as you’re present. I would even more so recommend if driving an older/ high mileage or classic car.
Another fan of AAA here too. Though I have a different company for actual insurance I have used my AAA membership for towing, dmv services, misc other perks since 1987. They rock!
It is so amazing to me how some people want eBay pricing at Garage sales. Then they cant understand why their items never sell.

The problem is they know what the stuff is worth, but they don’t have the reach and convenience that eBay does, so they most likely won’t have any luck. They might as well part with it or get their own eBay account. Lol
the guy buying is a reseller too. he wants the cheapest prices so he can get so he can make a big profit.

OMG! IKR to your car breaking down while garage saleing. We were out on Fri, car died. Had it towed home. Next day we took our other car & went out again - guess what? IT DIED, TOO! 2 cars in 2 days. One got fixed, 2nd one still waiting. No one was hurt, so God took care of us. Both people whose houses we were stranded at were SO NICE to us, and truly blessings to us. Hopefully you were just as blessed in your situation!❤

I adore your channel and your family. I've been watching PTP for a few months. Born and raised in the Bay Area. Lived in both San Leandro and Hayward. When you guys are out at garage sales I try to see if I can recognize any of the neighborhoods. When I lived in San Leandro I would go to the Oakland Coliseum flea market at least 3 times a week. Always my favorite place to shop. I sold on ebay for 18 years, starting in 2001. I get such joy watching your video's. Great content. I'm learning a lot from you. Thank you ❣

Nice find on the reel to reel. I found one of those visiting my parents in phoenix at there community garage sale. I got it for $20. I had to fly back home a few days later, so I packed it up there and gave them instructions how to ship it. Ended up selling it for $450 within a week.
Great haul. Took care of the broken down car charge. AAA is the way to go.
That's a bummer about the car but what a crazy price for a tow. Other folks have already given you advice, so I'll refrain.

My starter went out at a garage sale last Saturday AAA took me to the auto parts store and I use there tools. I was back garage sailing in an hour. But I was no longer the first one there.
My insurance covers tows. It is only about 3-5 dollars extra on my policy per month. You definitely need to check on that. 500 is just crazy

You should think about researching the Patagonia models before listing. You undersold that Orange 'Houdini Air' jacket, as they go for $70+. The Blue Snap T is also a less common '40th Anniversary' style that they only made for 1 season and those go for like $70-100.

You should definitely get tow coverage. My insurance company covers the first 50 miles with my policy. It's saved me a lot of money over the years because I buy cheap used cars and do minor repairs myself, major repairs with my uncle's help.

You should definitely get AAA. It’s worth it! I’ve even got both of my kids on my plan. Could possibly write it off as a business expense as well! Now that I think of it I’m going to tell my CPA and write it off of mine too! Lol great pickups as always 👍🏻

You should get AAA membership with the premium plan. It offers a 200 mile toll and then 100 miles. Not sure of the total number of tows. It runs around $150 per year. It's a deal.
I bought Legos for 25 years and always tried to negotiate everything they had out plus the kids toy box under the bed which has all the missing pieces plus K'nex, coins, gum wrappers and whatever. Giant sorting jobs, but very profitable.

Get AAA road service, the premier plan. Only a hundred and something per year and that tow would have been free. And you can get it even if you don"t have insurance through them. I got towed about 150 miles once over a holiday, and it cost me nothing except a 20- tip for the driver.
That dude with the golf clubs carted those back inside at the end of the day. Wouldn’t come down $5…I hate when folks act like what they paid new has a correlation to a garage sale.

Look out for Ed Hardy tops are worth a lot of money & perfume and bags. I have a zip up hoodie from Croatia 15years ago and it is in very good condition and lots of people asking if they can buy it off me but I won't sell it.
The 2 black things at 16:50 belong to the Sony reel2reel. They hold the reels in place.

AAA is the way to go - I actually have RV coverage with extended toe , so I can get a flatbed for my Vespa ... all kinds of perks , well worth the $170 a year I pay in Southern California.... I also have my insurance coverage with them, multi-car discount, they actually pay claims, easily... unlike many other insurance companies that just want to wiggle out of responsibility...LAXVESPA-LOSANGELES

$502 for a tow. There is far more money to be made doing services thesedays. Everyone and their brothers are reselling thesedays, and prices are dropping because of the competition.
I always pay extra for towing service. My 2000 Explorer is always needing help. Please, call your ins co., it’s cheap!!!

Wow, that's a lot for a tow. I'm guessing you don't have road side assistance with your insurance. I've never paid out of pocket for towing. Good luck making that up. But have no doubt about it. Your an excellent reseller.
