Ok I'm seriously impressed. That is the best designed QLD wildland appliance I've ever seen. The design makes it's end of life resale very attractive as well as it's usable for so much more than "just" a fire appliance with little modification required. I've been a big advocate of flat floor tankage like this for a very long time and I don't know why it isn't used on everything to vastly reduce the CoG and give more usable space. Yes it requires some impressive baffling buit that's why baffle balls were invented, those things are brilliant.
That rig has so much storage space for a light attack and so well equipped, the chainsaw locker is a work of art in itself and the overall try design is close to perfect IMHO. I for one like the helmet clips, helmets in cabs are a PITA.
One thing surprises me, how on earth did you mage to be permitted to remove the interior rear view mirror? Usually due to silly ADRs it is required to be there even if there is no remaining rear view from the cab whatsoever because it was there from new.
Overall a great job looks to have been done by all involved and I'm quite keen on having a look at one close up. It's a pity F550s and 600s are so expensive here as this design would scale very well indeed to fit the classic US "brush truck" cab/chassis for a different take on a medium appliance.

Love the design! Lighting setup is bloody amazing too, are there certain brigades who will be trialing it??

Just a few things, nice to see the LC's as compared to the very limited Rangers. Not a fan of the factory cheese-cutter types and rims, wider boots and sunny steel rims are not expensive, help a lot more on soft ground. The radio setup, antenna is very limited, should have its base (RFI CD91/CD93) and be mounted on top rail for height as the cabin and lack of ground-plane just limited its performance. Good to se the steel bar-work. Excellent idea on the tank, well done on getting the CoG down, more than I can say on many mediums. Helmet mount on outside, nah, keep it with you and out of the dust-n-crap. The pump, Petrol does have higher risks when re-fueling hot but for the fact they start easy, run quieter than Diesel and deliver decent pressure/flow, can't beat the KISS principle. White board, yeah, please look at a TAC-B. Chainsaw store and clamp for working, very nice. Firefighter standard weight is 130KG, not 100. Agreed on the Fire Curtains. LMAO at the Gull-wing Vs Roller doors, seen many stations with freshly replaced front and new doors or lockers after people fail to check and launch. Otherwise, lets see some more of these babies.

I am loving the design. I'm curious about the need for two Battery chargers. Would it not have been better for an voltage sensing relay in the truck which will allow the primary battery to change 1st then allow the secondary battery charge. I'm sure that's what the alternator with in the truck is doing. I do that type of arrangement on plenty of commercial fishing vessels.
