  • On this trip, we did most of the trails in Black Rock Mountain State Park. We started out with Tennessee Rock Trail. This trail is 2.2 mile loop. We went clockwise-definitely easier! The trail had some nice views and rock formations. Just past the parking was one of the parking areas for Ada-Hi Falls Trail. We started out where it was just 0.6 miles to the falls but you can park at the entrance to the camp area and make it as short as 0.25 mile one way. This trail was straight down with many stairs and then straight back up. The waterfall is pretty and had a good bit of icicles when we went Finally, we decided to stretch out legs a bit before heading home by getting on the Black Rock Lake Trail. It is a flat 0.8 mile loop. The view was nice and there are picnic tables and grills if you want to relax and have some lunch. Black Rock Mountain State Park is one of our favorite state parks in Georgia. If you haven’t yet, check it out! You won’t be disappointed!

Great hiking! I’m so glad we made it to other hikes around Black Rock Mountain State Park. A great mixture of overlooks, waterfall, and lake.

Great hike! I actually liked the last trail around the lake best, surprisingly.
