There's a lot that needs added/improved. But honestly what there is is actually very fun. Me and my group are on like day 20 or something and have no intention of finishing this game anytime soon. We're too busy building our shore base until the winter freezes the lake and then we can make a lake base.

Well. Of course it needs additions and improvements since it is.. you know. early access.. and all
lol you couldn't finish the story even if you wanted to. There is virtually no story added to the game at this point. 90% of the story/missions are still missing.
Wait a darn minute, is that how people have been building on the lake??? I saw so many builds, but not once to use the frozen lake when you could walk on it!
@@RayofpandasGamingChannel Yeah wait until the lake freezes over then start building. So long as the foundation is in place it will stay.
The reason why Virginia never came back is because after you attacked her the first time, every time she came back after that, you always took your weapon out and walked towards her. That scares her and she finally got tired of it.
So if I have me weapons away will I get another chance to be-friend her or did I mess it up too much?
@@RayofpandasGamingChannel whenever you see her you should put you weapons away and keep distance. She'll come and run multiple times and eventually she'll bring you a present (blueberries in my case) after that approach without a weapon and she won't run. Now she trusts you.
If you want her to come aboard you should spend some time with her. I don't know exactly how long but getting steam achievement about her is a guarantee.
I did not try attacking her so I don't know if you messed up or not but if you still see her do what I told you.
@@RayofpandasGamingChannel When she points at a monster, kill it for her. If she calls you to follow her, do it. When she becomes friends with you, hand over the gun to her. Both pistol and shotgun in her hands will shelter you always with infinite ammo; you’ll not even need to fight then.
@@RayofpandasGamingChannel YES you would of had a second companion if she gets wounded or hit my the people of tribes you can heal here and you can give her a GUN which is cool but i did not have a chance to play it bc 1. i have a potato pc and 2. i broke so i can't buy just found it in yt anyways you can be friends with virginia but its too late :/.
also you can just help her there some ways of being friends with here but this one need violence
A day in SOTF is 36 minutes: 24 minutes of daytime and 12 minutes of nighttime. Considering that he slept every night(which he probably didn't), that's at least 40h of gameplay for the 100 days. This video was posted 6 days after release day, so lets say 5 days of gameplay because editing and uploading. 5 days is 120h, and assuming he took 7h of daily sleep and 2h of eating, that leaves 75h of free time during those 5 days. This man used AT LEAST 53% of his free time for 5 days straight, plus editing just to give us some nice early content, THAT'S dedication man! Nice video btw
You were actually so close to so many things... what the heck, haha. I definitely slept more then not, but I got to around 33 hours of gameplay for 100 days. 5 days was used, first 3 on about 10 plus hours each and then a day to edit the rough draft and last day to finalize everything, upload to youtube with all the meta data/thumbnail stuff. Didn't sleep much and I don't much either when I work on certain videos. I probably should take better care of myself, but when I get to work I forget about the outside world. Thanks so much though man and I'm still shocked you got most the stuff right lmao

Sad you didn't get the experience with Virginia, she's pretty badass. If you do choose to play again, a tip for when she visits, put your weapon away and be still (she'll do this a few times before she is completely on your side 😊)

Watching him play this and being on day 50 only just entering the first facility makes me feel like I rushed through the first part of the game. I wish that I didn't know anything before I started just to feel these emotions like he did.
Nah he was just really slow I think by day 20 we had a massive base and a rope gun system set up around the island and has every item in the game
on our first world we 100% completed in on day 8.. :D (we got all weapons, went to all caves, build a base and had a ton of fun)
I know the entire game already and never played it -- and I honestly dunno when I'll play it bc a pc to run it at its very minimal is 8k+ in this hellhole of a country I live in (Brazil btw) and the game itself isn't cheap either. Also I'm unemployed, what makes everything worse :shrugs:
But one thing I found out while watching multiple LPs is that there's a sh*t ton of stuff to do anyways and I'd probably have that "beginner's thrill" one way or the other
Yeah lol I got literally everything needed to beat the game and more in around 6 hours in the same playthrough without even building a base

I've walked across the entire map in Sons of the Forest. It took me 46 minutes.
Holy smokes, that definitely sums up how big the map/game really is!
Now we need someone to hold a world record for the longest time spent surviving on the island in one go.

Ah, that was a fun watch. Although I do have to say that I can't wait to watch the complete version since the game felt kinda a bit undone. However, this also show its almost in complete at its program. Btw the way you told your chara about eating was hilarious. Not to mention like your sanity during the whole play through. xD

You should make a 100 days scrap mechanic video, you'll be amazed how flexible the game is, it's a survival sandbox were you beat up robots, refine them into material craft your own custom cars, boats, etc... base building is super cool. I hope you check it out!

You can use your rope gun to make a zipline for wood. If you build a storage at they end of the zipline the woods will automatically fall in the storage that is ideal for collecting wood faster.

This one definitely had those roleplay elements, but with the skipping between narration and your reactions that "movie" element wasn't quite there. My 6 year old son has cried 3 times today because of how much he loved this “beautiful game.” I don’t know what you’re doing, but we spent an hour and a half together ogling the beauty. He said he loved the part at the end where the player can choose between staying or leaving in the helicopter. And the part where you can see the “dimension where the demons are wearing clothes.” And he said that the music at the end made him feel good.
Anyway, thanks for being the vessel through which my son saw incredible beauty today. What a joy to get to see it through his eyes.
At first I was going to ask if this was more of a trolling comment because of the amount of blood and gore that can be found, but aside that the game does offer such beauty when it comes to the woods and just exploring. Definitely something to ogle at and have so much fun with!

You probably found out by now, but here are a few facts and speculations: Fact: the cross you found earlier in 1 of the caves could of been used to burn some of the mutations. Fact: The 2 guys (father and son) who rescued you at the end were actually Timmy and the father was the guy you used to play with in The Forest. Speculation: The silver dressed like girl, is actually the little girl who was the final boss in The Forest and was sacrificed to safe Timmy. And somehow with the power of the ancient artifact they got here back to life again.
Yeah, apparently the crossed would've helped so much in the caves! Getting to know that second fact honestly blew my mind because it didn't even click and to know that now I'm like, HUH!? The one with the lady in white/silver was the girl we were looking from the start, no?

The first one is The Forest. It’s on every platform. Sons of The Forest is the sequel & only on PC. Theres a lot of things that are the same, but a lot that are different. Graphics, add-on’s. New cannibals, new missions. Just better.
Couldn't agree more with that. As empty as it seemed to a lot of people on release, I loved it purely with new graphics. From all the updates and extra things added, this game is climbing the ranks for me!
