At first I thought Holland was defending the takedowns very well and thought Khamzat was going to let him off, reset and then go for the takedown again (like most others would do) but Khamzat stuck to him like glue! That's the point he was trying to prove when he finished Kev like he was a training doll. He was infuriated in regards to the entire ordeal, and so he felt the need to make a Statement that strong.
Good interview. Genuine up front and real. Cant fault him despite not making weight. It won't happen again. Everything is a learning curve. As a final note I believe UFC would love to eventually set up a fight with him and Adinsanya. Hence the hint at a move to middleweight.

@@benlewis5312 I believe Khamzat said that the reason he missed weight was because he thought the PPV date was later than he anticipated and had already bulked up a few of pounds of muscle, and because muscle is harder to cut than fat, and water. It made his weight cut harder and more dangerous which is why the doctor told him to stop. He's made 170 on short notice before so I don't think that's an issue.

If he gets the right matchup, probably. But how does he beat whittkar, vetori and costa. His strategy seems to be bullying smaller strikers with zero ground game. We saw how the fight with burns went. He ain't beating colby and usman.
Was rooting for Holland. That being said chimeav’s self belief is admirable. Not many guys would have the self confidence to be offering to train with/help these guys he has a real possibility of meeting across the octagon again

One thing for sure is that we can see Khamzat is able to correct mistakes after each fight which makes him MUCH more dangerous, He learned that it’s not smart for him to bang with strikers but to use his great wrestling which can definitely get him a title in the future if he fights smart just like we saw with khabib.

Na we still haven't seen if he improved yet. If he fought Kevin before Burns, he would've done the exact same thing. The only reason why he didn't wrestle Burns is because he couldn't. Burns bjj skills negated his wrestling so they stood up the whole fight. We still haven't seen if Khamzat has an improved gas tank or patience. This fight was too easy
He didn’t learn that from burns.. Burns is a world champ in BJJ. It was smart to be in a slug fest with Burns.

Khamzat mentions offering up his entire purse to fight Diaz regardless of weight, and people are upset Diaz didn't take the offer acting like Khamzat "is real", but to Diaz's point - that's not how this business works, you show up, you make weight and if you don't you're only enforcing the argument that you're a rookie. Everyone else shows up and makes weight because ultimately, this isn't backyard bare-knuckle fighting - there are weights and divisions for a reason. Amazing how everyone in these comments just does a 360 in a matter of hours, loving Khamzat, then hating him, then back to loving him because of a fight's results/press release. He fought a striker that had no preparation for wrestling (Holland himself was extremely apprehensive about fighting a wrestler once they announced it), of course he got a takedown immediately without taking any damage, why are people still acting like he's the 2nd coming because of this last-minute fight change? I believe Khamzat said that the reason he missed weight was because he thought the PPV date was later than he anticipated and had already bulked up a few of pounds of muscle, and because muscle is harder to cut than fat, and water. It made his weight cut harder and more dangerous which is why the doctor told him to stop. He's made 170 on short notice before so I don't think that's an issue.
To be fair about the glove tap touch thing as much as I wanted to see Holland win, getting friendly with him in the octagon is a good way to get knocked TF out. So Camshaft watched some tape the night before fight apparently. Smart play.
he called nate unprofessional for smoking when it’s 100% legal and it says nothing about him not being allowed to smoke after a fight in the contract however he missed weight which was 1 of the main factors in a legal contract. id say he’s the unprofessional one.
