I first met Kaz in '92, nearly 30 years ago when we ended up playing on a team together in Detroit at the US Open Teams. He had just come to the US and barely spoke any English at all, but we all had a great time getting to know him. And the fact that he went undefeated in the B division made it even more special. He's come a long way since then and I'm glad to see he's still playing at a high level and entertaining everyone while doing so. Rock on, bro!

the match was a work. adam had him by the 2nd game and threw points to get the finish for the ending.
Having to claw up from a 4-0 deficit by default is actually a lot more pressure than one may think. Adam's odds really are rough on the guests lol.

Adam seems good enough that they should've played on a level playing field. I don't believe it was a proper victory when they've got a handicap
I think it's a win-win for the guest. If the guests lose, they can save face and say it's because of the handicap. If they win, they're just great.
I think giving them the handicap is a sign of respect. Adam and Kaz both know that Kaz is a small level above him

I was just watching some old matches of Koji Matsushita, what a chopper he was, almost like a dancer
omg Adam, before I clicked into your channel, i always thought that we chinese are the toppest pingpong country in the world. There is no one can defeat us. As I ws trained by professional coah as a teenager, I had seen many many children started playing pingpong and the children who play well got selected into higher levels untill the national team. There is no doubt that our number of people basis and training system can select top level player in the world.
I always thougt pingpong is a just a 'sports' (even it could be fun) in that competing environment in China untill I watch your videos. There are prfessional pingpong player not only take it as their career but also try to promote it to the worlds. These people story and what they are trying to do to promote this sports really moved me a lot. Thanks for your videos for sharing the stories and promoting pingpong.

Another great vid! From a guy that knows nothing much about ping pong (me) I would say Adam would be the perfect guy to warm up the world class pro's. He basically gets back everything..lolz. I do notice in all the vids he never displays much backhand power, its almost always defensive. Great stuff and enertaining....
