10:14 Is the Fuji X100VI actually better? - Krátké a kreslené filmy
Fuji has made photography fun. I started off with a bulky canon then i moved to film(contaxg2) and got a digital companion(xpro2) and it made shooting both feel seamless.
Looks like you've been going smaller each time. Guess your final step is an M43 camera from Olympus.
I am a hobbyist Fuji shooter. Depending on the weather, or preference for the day, I use either an X-T2 or X-E3. Both of them use the same version of the X-Trans sensor so it simplifies working with them. I also usually keep the TTartisans 27mm F2.8 lens on the X-E3 to keep it relatively small.
I'm Canon photographer since 2005. This year I took the step and bought Fuji X-H2S. Now, I'm considering to buy X100VI for daily use. My Canon R5 is now collecting dust and I once settled, I will sell the Canon R5.
Anthony, You should get into film photography. It's a different world and definently the "Art" of photography. (Not to say that digital isn't lol it's just that there is an anticipation and challenge with film)
Furthermore, get yourself a camera that is 100% mechanical and manual (i.e. Minolta SRT 102 or similar, love mine!)
I think you deserve an invite to Fuji's next X-Summit by how much your videos has hyped up this camera. On behalf of everyone waiting months for their pre-order to be fulfilled, thank you.
Hey Anthony, big fan of your work. I was hoping to get your opinion as to whether an XT5 or A7iv would be better for portrait work?
A7iv would be because of the full frame sensor, but an xt-5 wouldn't be a bad choice either.
As much as I would like this camera I think it’s going towards a new drone or drones. Fair review of the camera Anthony I totally agree with your thoughts.
I am a Canon shooter, a bulkier one using R6 + RF50f1.2. I wanted a small camera to go around with my family and I got the X100V. However, I have sold it because I felt it was not fun taking pictures with it because... the leaf shutter. It felt souless, no haptic, no sound, nothing. Even as empty sensatiob like shoot with an iPhone. Finally, I got a Fuji XPro3 as a replacement and yeah! It feels, baby! I'm really happy with it.
Beautiful to shoot, hold, look at and own. Plus theres the bonus of seeing all the haters get bent out of shape😂
I'm currently using Sony ZV-E10 because of the compact form factor with the ability to use the variety of lenses. When paired with the kit lens, it is very compact. But I also can upgraded llenses from Sony, Sigma, Tamron and other third-party manufacturer.
Of course, the value for the price is also a factor. It is still currently the lightest interchangeable lense camera with the ability to shoot 4k.
For now, this is enough for my needs. It maybe fall short when compared to full frame camera, but the picture quality comparable when using the right lens & camera settings. So, I'm currently focusing on upgrading the lenses that suits me and my work.
I’m planning on using the 50mm crop mode. Might as well take advantage of the 40 MP.
It makes sense if you want to get the most of the camera
I’m still using my film canon T50 purchased back in 83. And digital Nikon D70. Luv them both.
I had the x100v, sold it for a ricoh griiix, and do prefer my ricoh.
I did however pre-ordered a x100vi. only time will tell if I am going to either sell the Ricoh or the x100vi.
But for now - from pocketability, to it's colours and ease of use - the Ricoh is the winner. I only wish it had dust and water resistance.
I'm curious how the quality of the lens on this compares to the Canon pancake lenses.
if you have ever had a canon 7d could you share your experience and what super telephoto lens is the best
For medium budget
Canon Ef 100-400
Sigma 150-600
It's not for Beginners (even the film simulations won't look good if you don't know what you're doing. Just use an iphone, much easier and similar results at that point)
It's not for Prosumers (There's no point in getting this as your only Camera, get one with interchangeable lenses)
This is the perfect Camera for professionals that love what they do but want to let that feeling of work go and just have fun. Not thinking about the gear only one lens choice, just grab it and shoot.
Or it's just a hypeproduct to make money
I don't think Fuji would develop and manufacture a product to make money.
@@starlitnight6982 Just based on the fact that they were halfway into the lifecycle of the fifth generation of this camera by the time it picked up mainstream hype I really doubt that’s it haha
Where can I find Scarlett Grove recipe?
I do mosly sunset but trying to do more wild life photo. I shoot with a canon 90D with a Tamron 18-400mm 3.5-6.3 lens. I started with a heavly used canon XSI
Thanks for sharing😂
What I don’t understand is. If every camera brand has picture profiles/ simulations/ presets. Why do they not make pretty ones to attract that audience too? I love my Sony camera and I wish I had good picture profiles to shoot jpeg
Ikr ... Imaging we could have Sony's back illuminated sensor + Sony lens lineup + canon UI + canon LCD screen + canon picture profile! Perfect!
You said canon loaned you a lens for the eclipse, I’m still waiting for that results video 😭
Anthony, I’ve been looking at cameras for hobby and the two that came to mind were the EOS r8 and r7 are either good starter cameras?
Both are great, particularly the R8 - features and price are second to none!
If you are interested in using any zoom lens other than the kit lens, the Canon EOS R8 is a much better choice. However, if you are interested in wide-angle photography, the Canon EOS R7 has a much better body.
Happily recommend them both. Get the one that has the price point that appeals to you. You won't be disappointed.
I find myself in between on this camera as well. Been kicking the idea around a lot but I just can’t do it.
I originally thought I was going to buy one... Now I'm actually not sure. The lack of availability right now doesn't help.
@@AnthonyGugliotta if Fuji were to give us both a free camera… I would gladly use it daily though 😅😅
Fuji sent more cameras out to CZcamsrs than paying customers at this point. Wonder what happens to this one once you send it back
I agree with you so hard man. Fuji missed with this camera, so much so I have a preorder with B&H for the X100vi and a back order with Adriana for the Ricoh because I feel Fuji wasn’t ready for this launch. And I wonder how many users feel like me in that they don’t even want the camera anymore.
i have the sony a7siii with 2 tamron zoom lens working to a 3rd for the holy trinity. and I have a fuji xt-5 comming in this week(about wednesday) and I just ordered a skin that says "Mujifilm" which is a slang for cat.
Hands down, why is there no ibis in the lower canons like the R10 R7... ? I mean for the price Nikon has good ibis, lumix has great ibis and you can shoot half a second handheld
One of those cameras is like to have because I just like shooting with different cameras ….but I’d be just wasting money because I don’t NEED it . Be fun to have a go with though … one day
How do you pronounce your last name?
Potato Camera??🤣 Still on the R5 and love it. However, I guess I'll stop by my local camera store and try the Fuji. Seems to be a lot of fun
It's too beautiful to call it "6".
Shooting on Sony Nex 5, going to upgrade to Nex 7.
The only i'm sad about with this camera is, it has no square format..😂 😂😂😂
… SO THEY SENT YOU ONE AND I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE ONE I BOUGHT IN FEBRUARY 😢😢😢😢😢
I shot 11:39 on a Fujifilm x-s10
This sounds like a camera for indecisive people.
Using an eos m6 mark ii here
Canon R8 + RF 28mm f2.8
So my 50mp s23 ultra and the 15 sims do the same, lol
You've never shot on film?!
I have no camera 📷
The camera for non-photographers
the IQ isn't the best its the same as the iPhone 15 its seems that the lens just can't cope with new higher mpx's and for me 35mm equivalent is too tight much prefer 24mm I would recommend the Sony A7CR for the retro look and the 24mm f2.8 G
So you’ve sold yours?
superficially, at good light, stepped down a lot, the iPhone shots 'look good' and will satisfy most people, as they don't realize how much is digitally altered by the software or don't care anyways, but the optical image quality, the ability to recapture detail from shades and highlights, and the simple haptical pleasure of intuitively controlling the exposure triangle without using a menu ... shooting is a different game with the X100s tbh. It's a meditative pleasure, getting me back to my slide film days.
The Apple zombies are still alive and well.
That sony doesnt have retro look. Nikon Zf would have and build quality better than fuji x100vi.
This video is fantasy. This camera is not available.
This is the most overrated camera I've ever seen since the S5 II...
If you think the x100 series is overrated, you definitely do not own one.
Agree, and at $2800AUD, very very overpriced. $3k is not a 'travel/hobby ' camera.
Mobile phone has already replaced watches, digital camera, calculator, notepad etc and IMHO, save your money for things that you're really need.
@@fremzter I've owned the original X100 and two subsequent versions. They're fun at first, but ultimately limited. An iphone is a better option as a compact go-anywhere travel camera. You're better off with one of the interchangeable lens Fujis as you can at least have options.
@@Redcliff123mobile phone camera quality does not come close to the X100 series.
It's the aesthetic. The same reason why people want iPhones; it's a status symbol. It's basically for vanity. Which is funny, the Olympus Pen, E-M10 and E-M5 series cameras in silver all look just as retro if not more than the Fuji, better stabilization, smaller, interchangeable lenses, cheaper, etc.... but noone's buying them, which makes you wonder why anyone bothers with the Fuji. For convenience, M43 beats the SNOT out of every other camera. Fuji's especially are clunky, big and heavy. For travel, it's kind of stupid to get a Fuji and be stuck with ONE focal length. WTF.
You sound really mad bro
@@gondokingo3931😂
None of them has the Colors of a Fuji. I have had a lot of photoshoots where the customer were totally mind blown by the sooc jps and was not sure if they needed editting
@@gondokingo3931 Fuji shooter getting defensive! OH NOEZZ! Dont worry man, you'll always be cool with your camera now matter how trendy your colours are :)
